00 Silverado 1500 Z71.. What is the location of the HVAC distribution servo?? I found the air blend servo under dash. Only getting air blowing out of Defrost. I switched the head unit and got same result. Also tried the reset as suggested by Jcat, neither one worked.

View 2 RepliesI have a 1999 Chevy Silverado 6.0 Ltr C2500 Auto tran Large Gas tank 120,000 miles. My gas tank filler tube vent hose has come off of its attaching point. It is still connected to the filler tube. I can not see where it connects on the other end. The small hose is long enough to reach the rear bumper on my truck noticed it hanging over the differential on the ground. Where to reconnect it to. I do have a check engine light showing. I fear my truck is falling apart slowly.
View 2 RepliesI've had my 2014 Prius II for about a month now and am really happy with the car. I do however have a question. Every time I go the garage and open the driver's door to get in the car, I hear a servo-like noise under the hood lasting for a few seconds. probably 5-6.
View 15 RepliesWhenever my Prius has been at rest for a while, such as sitting overnight, and I come out in the morning for my drive to work, as soon as I grab the handle and the door unlocks there is a distinct sound like a motor/servo/positioner under the bonnet that runs for about 3 to 4 seconds.
I am curious as to what this is. It's 100% consistent, so it appears the car is prepping something in anticipation of starting the hybrid system - part of the "pre-flight prep" procedure perhaps?
Have a problem with the rear air distribution. I can not get it to work. What am I doing wrong?
View 6 RepliesI have a 97 F150 with the 4.6L and a 4x4 auto transmission that I got it on a trade. I was told the packs were shorted (he had a diagnostic write up as proof) so I replaced them and still no spark. It has the 4 plug packs. I checked every fuse and relay twice and the PCM and packs are getting power I also checked them with a multimeter and they're getting a 12v feed in the distribution box and the packs have 12v on the hot wire. There's something keeping it from firing the distribution wires and I'm kinda stumped. Also the MIL comes on and sometimes go off and I tried to scan tool it but it says it can't connect.
View 8 RepliesMy wife's 89 Aerostar is leaking brake fluid from the back side of what is either the distribution block or combination valve. I am not sure which it is but it is the first block you run into following the lines from the master cylinder and it is right below it near the fender well.
The part has been discontinued and is too expensive anyway so I am looking for input as to what this peice is and if / how to rebuild it.
I have a 2004 Ford Taurus SEL with the Duratec 24 valve DOHC, had an accident and the engine compartment power distribution box broke and have been having different issues since. I found a wrecked 2006 ford taurus with an intact box, can I use the 2006 on the 2004? Is there anything I need to make sure of first? The part numbers seem to be the same although at ford they sell different ones.
View 7 RepliesI just bought a used 98 Acura 3.0CL. I've noticed that when the heat is cranked, it doesn't blow hot at all. I did some quick research and came up with two answers thus far; check the antifreeze coolant and that I may need to replace the heater control valve. Am I "warm" on the area?

View 5 RepliesToday something strange happened to HVAC. The air blower is always set at full speed regardless of the HVAC setting, mode, etc. The fan speed control does nothing now, even turning the HVAC off is not working.
The only way is to shut the ignition, even when the ignition is off, the solar ventilation function works even when it is set to off!
I believe that a relay or a contractor from the solar ventilation is jammed but not sure because I've re coded the roof electronics to "no sunroof" at all but still didn't work.
The light that indicates the HVAC position (floor, dash, defrost, etc) is out in my car. It's the light in the "ring" that turns.Is this replaceable? I searched, but figuring out right search term is the hard part i guess.
View 1 RepliesI have a problem that's sprung up all of a sudden and I wanted to run it by you before taking it in to VW. For the past three days or so the blower on my Phaeton's HVAC has been unresponsive to my control, staying on its highest setting permanently, even when I turn off the car.
This of course means that overnight power management takes over and when I get to the car in the morning I have to unlock it with the physical key, the clock has to be reset and I get all kinds of warnings about level fault and system fault. These warnings go away immediately as the car powers up, and everything is back to normal except for the fan.
I've tried resetting all settings on the control unit, but since the fan stays on even when the car is off, I feel like it's not software? The rest of the HVAC settings seem to work fine- I can toggle the vents and change the temperature, just not the blower speed.
So, I was with my buddy last weekend and we were driving back to his house and i had my lights switched on and the Temp control dial, Air Flow (?) 0-4 dial, and Air Positioning dial were lit and as I pulled up to his house, I noticed they were off but my other interior lights were still on. A/C button and Recirc button both lit up when pressed. I then started the car up when I left and the same thing happened. Is this normal or do I have a loose connection or burnt out bulb? I really dont want to tear all of that apart if that's how it operates normally.
View 5 RepliesI picked up my GTI a few weeks ago and have been travelling a lot. I noticed that the HVAC units are displaying in C instead of F. I checked all other settings and they are correct. I even called VW Car-Net and they suggested a reset procedure which did not work.
View 5 RepliesI changed the resistor but level 5 still didn't work with the new resistor installed... Found out that it was a 30 amp fuse #53 under the hood, the high level blower fuse. Installed a new fuse, put the old resistor back in and the AC blower worked fine! However, one more problem....the new fuse blew a few minutes later...not sure what that is about. I installed a second 30 amp fuse and it has been working for an hour so far.
View 2 RepliesThe water was not actually getting into the HVAC itself, but getting past the air inlet assembly from under the leaf screen directly into the firewall area. I will try a gasket maker that comes in rolls that I can press into place. there is no room for tools there.
Everywhere around the heater and AC module is dry. The foam on the inside firewall immediately under the air inlet assembly is soaked, yet the inside of the assembly is bone dry. I removed the entire to diagnose the leak. A light rain was enough to fill the back foot well with an inch of water.
Yesterday, my wife said she tried to turn the fan control knob from 2 to 3, but there was some resistance. She turned it off, and when she tried to turn it back on, nothing happened. The fan control knob turns as it should, but no fan is blowing, and therefore, no AC. Also, we noticed after dark that the lights inside the HVAC control unit had also died. I was thinking fuse, but checked all fuses related to HVAC and dash lighting and they were all OK.
View 1 RepliesI noticed that no matter whether it's on recirc or vent when I shut down the car, our '06 Touring's HVAC will always default to recirc when I turn it on. Is there a way to keep it from doing this? It drives me nuts, because I hate having recirc on.
