My 2007 Hyundai Sonata lights won't turn off on auto or manually. Took it to the dealer and. they said.....
checked fuses okay has internal relay in IP Junction blocked checked power at Pin 7 and 8 RH and L/H Trail Lamp ASSY with Switch off voltage at 12V internal Failure in IP Junction Block. Recommend to replace.
I have read a few other posts in regards to this issue. My parking lights do not turn off when the car is shut off and lights are either manually turned off or if the auto function is used. I understand that it is the drivers side fuse box that has a relay built into it that controls the on/off function of the parking lights. I do not see anywhere that I can buy the fuse box. The local dealer wants me to pay for diagnostics before going any further.
View 1 RepliesI have 2007 Hyundai Sonata SE V6, 72k. Out of warranty. Problem is parking lights does not turn off when I turn off the car and take the key out. I have to play with the switch from On to Auto many times in order to turn them off. Sounds like stuck relay. I also have "auto switch off" feature which is supposed to turn off everything when I open the driver’s door AND the key is out. This does not turn off the lights as well. Lately it is very difficult to turn them off, especially when the car has been running for some time. Brake switch as per the recall has been changed in the past.
I went to the dealership, paid $110 for diagnostics and they said I need to replace the junction fuse box in the engine compartment - I found such a box for less and replaced it myself. Problem still exist. After reading some more online, the forums said that the parking relay is integrated in the other junction/fuse box – the one under the left front dash (91950-3K560).
Can this box be opened and fixed? Is there another solution other than replacing the fuse box?
I have 2007 Sonata GLS and have noticed on several (at least 6) occasions that the parking lights (front turn signal lamps and tail lights) as well as the instrument lights will stay on after turning off the car, removing key and locking it. Usually I flip the switch a few times and they'll go off and stay off. Today wasn't so easy. I'm guessing it's the switch but wanted to know if this is isolated case or more common before I take to Hyundai. The problem can't be "duplicated" when you want it to happen. Usually it's on colder mornings when coming to work.
View 18 RepliesMy wife has a 2011 Hyundai Sonata with about 75K miles and the rear parking lights will not turn off after I turn the car off and make sure all illumination is set to the off position. It completely drained her battery over night. I have done some research on here and think it is probably a relay in the engine compartment fuse box. Whenever I pull the STOP LP 15 Amp fuse (listed on page 7-57 in the manual) the lights finally turn off but that's obviously a temporary fix since I won't be able to convince my wife to do that every time she turns the car off.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 Passat 2.0T Wolfsburg Edition. I have yet to figure out how to turn on the just the parking lights. Is this even possible? This is my first VW and my first foreign car .. so I'm not used to all the "quirks" yet. SO far I really LOVE my car though.

I called the dealer later, and was told the rabbit does not have "parking lights". What should I use when I want to pull off the roadway briefly, etc. and why did they not put parking lights on this car? Is this a new trend?
View 6 RepliesI recently had some engine repairs done to my 2007 Sonata. When I got the car back, I found that when I hit the remote lock button, the parking lights no longer flash and the horn doesn't sound when hitting the lock button a second time. I am guessing when they disconnected the battery, maybe it turned off the feature. Is there any way to reset the feature without having to go to the dealer?

View 1 RepliesAt first the passenger side front parking light would randomly not turn on until you gave the light assembly a hard tap. Now I am having the same problem with the driver side low beam light. I checked the harness connector and it clicks firmly into place. So, I am guessing there's something not grounded properly somewhere on the light assembly. I'm hoping that a light film of dielectric grease will work but I can't tell where to put it.

View 7 RepliesI flush mounted my bass knob where the extra spaces are next to the esc button and light dimmer, in order to take that out i unplugged those two harnesses and now when i put it all back together my dash lights wont turn on (speedometer , temp, gas) along with where the a/c buttons are. What fuse would it be? I checked the one that said cluster but that wasn't it, what else could it be?

View 3 RepliesI drove from office to home today. After 30 min, the remote unlock worked fine, got into the car, turned the ignition to "A" and "ON". All the dashboard lights, headlights and radio turned on. When I turned the key to "START" , car won't start and all the lights and radio turned off. There was no cranking and any other noise from engine. Removed the key and tried again. Now there is no power at all. Not sure what happened.

View 7 RepliesJust picked up a 1999 F-150 XL, 4.2L V6, 5-Speed. Spent half the day rewiring the headlights back to factory as a previous owner did a bunch of wiring that made absolutely no sense. (Foglights or KC lights?). Anyway, works great with the exception that the headlights turn on when I turn the selector to just parking lights. I removed all but the factory wires under the hood. I haven't been behind the dash yet to check the headlight switch and I was hoping to avoid doing so. A fuse or relay that may be causing the issue? I don't have a service manual yet so I haven't been able to identify all the fuses under the hood.
View 2 RepliesI have an '07 Hyundai Sonata (4 cylinder) with the sunroof and XM. Yesterday, someone nearly hit me with their car and told me that my brake lights stopped working. I went home and tested it out and it doesn't seem to work at all. (The third brake light died out a week ago). I checked fuses and they seemed to be okay, tried replacing them with spare ones and still doesn't work (My old rover always had fuse problems). Bulbs look fine and they're definitely not burned out.
View 15 RepliesFolks, my '07 SE has developed something interesting, and it's being a pain to diagnose. When I'm driving freeway speeds, whenever I make a right hand turn, I hear a low hum, and feel a slight vibration in my steering wheel. I know wheel bearings tend to vibrate all the time when going bad, but this one has me scratching my head. It also won't do it at lower speeds.
