About month ago, my cabin lights stopped coming on when I open the door. I can turn the lights on, so it is not bulbs. It's a pain to come home at night and not have the lights come on for a few minutes as I get out of the car.
View 5 RepliesThe lights don't come on when you open the door. Perhaps you have to touch the switch or jiggle it a bit to make the lights come on? Often times, my interior lights will flash off and on (really annoying).

You can only hear it when you go over 50-55+ mph and it comes from cabin air filter area.
I already changed cabin air filter, the other day I replaced filter tray as well due to broken clips. Cleaned the whole area real good and still can't get it to stop whining.
I replaced the battery and nothing. I opened the trunk and no light so I'm thinking the battery died. Here's where I have another problem. I can't open the doors. How can I open the door manually to open the hood to check on the battery? I got the car used so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to have another key for the door?

Do you think I should replace the fuel door actuator in the trunk or is there a wiring problem at the door that I should try and replace?
I recently bought a used 2008 Hyundai Sonata Limited. I've been driving it for about 2 weeks now without any problems. I just took it out tonight for a drive and noticed the door open light was on, but not all the way. Non of the doors were open, and when they were the light turn on all the way.
I just turned the car off and the light is still on (dim). What this might be and what I could do to fix it?
The door chime, yes the door chime. I have searched fairly extensively using the search tool, on a way to stop the chime when the door is open. I could care less about it chiming when you put the key in the ignition or when your seatbelt is unbuckled (because I always wear my seatbelt you seatbelt Nazis). I am curious if that little switch that is pressed when the door is closed, that stops the chiming, controls anything other than the door, the headlights and the interior lights. I don't care if the lights don't come on inside the car when I open the door.
I was considering taking the switch out and grounding the sensor so the car thinks the door is always shut. I am regularly cleaning out my car because my children think its a trash can, and I like to listen to the radio when I do so. I like to have all the doors open when I'm sitting in the car scrubbing only god knows what off of every surface of my car, so I can get a nice breeze to keep me cool. Don't tell me to "roll down your stupid windows" or "just close the driver door", I don't want too; enough said.
The lock on the rear driver side door doesn't work, it stuck on lock position and it won't open with the remote. You can't even turn the lock by hand from inside. It's like it's jammed or something. The rear passenger door lock was broken a while ago, it was making a nasty noise but still working so I had it changed but this one just stopped working.
How am I gonna fix that. I was thinking in order to fix the lock, they have to remove the door panel first, and to remove the door panel the door should be open to get to the screws. Is it gonna be stock for ever ?
My passenger rear door latch will not open. (06 Sonata 4cyl) It has no give when you pull it so I have to roll down the window and reach out.

View 7 RepliesDid a search and read the manual and I cant seem to turn of the dome lights when I open the doors. For example... Sometimes my daughter falls asleep and I want to open the door at night without the lights coming on... Or If the mosquitoes are going crazy I might want to turn off the light so I don't get killed... I know I can hold the switch to the right and it turns lights on with doors closed, and hold for a second to the left to turn off. But what about opening the door? I know my old 2007 was able to do this function...
View 13 RepliesTail and dash lights would go out unexpectedly, so I would turn light switch off and then back on and they would work. After about a week they stopped working all together...I checked all fuses related to the lights and dash as well as bulbs.
View 5 RepliesI have an '07 Hyundai Sonata (4 cylinder) with the sunroof and XM. Yesterday, someone nearly hit me with their car and told me that my brake lights stopped working. I went home and tested it out and it doesn't seem to work at all. (The third brake light died out a week ago). I checked fuses and they seemed to be okay, tried replacing them with spare ones and still doesn't work (My old rover always had fuse problems). Bulbs look fine and they're definitely not burned out.

1) Odd noise coming from steering column while turning.
2) Vanity mirror on driver's side, the lid/flap thingy does not stay open.
3) Trunk only opens when using key. Using FOB of door button does not work. You can hear movement but it does not open.
I have a 2006 F350 CCLB FX4. Is there a way to allow the running/parking lights to come on when I open the door like my dad's 2012? I don't have any roof/clearance lights yet, I'm a little on the fence about drilling holes in my roof but it seems the truck should have them, especially being an F350.

View 3 RepliesI purchased a 2006 V-8 several months ago, and am enjoying it greatly. One thing I noticed after I bought the car is that the cabin trunk switch does not work to open the trunk. I was not too concerned since the key switch worked, so I figured I'd get the dealer to fix it when I next took it in for servicing. Well, now the trunk button won't work on any of my keys either. I think I may have held the button down too long and then it froze after trying again several times. So the bottom line is that I cannot open the trunk. Just to be clear the trunk is closed, so any remedy that requires that the trunk be open is impractical.
