Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Driver Side Low Beam Headlight Does Not Work

Jul 6, 2015

I currently have a 2011 Sonata. The drivers side low beam head light does not work. I thought it was the bulb, so I went and purchased a H7 bulb. When I replaced it with a new bulb it still did not work. The high beam works fine. So I thought I bought a bad bulb. I then tried the bulb i bought on the passenger side and low and behold the low beam worked. I then put my old bulb that I thought was bad on the passenger side and it worked.

I swapped every light bulb on the drivers side (the new one and my old ones I already had), and none of the low beams would work. I course I did move the switch to the correct position inside the card and no go. The DayTime running lights work fine, I just cant get the low beam to work on the drivers side.

I tried checking the fuses to see if i had a blown fuse and no luck. I could not find a blown fuse. Is there a fuse somewhere for the low beam light, if so I cannot find it anywhere in any manual that I have searched. I have also heard that it may be the Body Control Module.

Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Driver Side Headlight Went Out

I have a 2012 Sonata - My Drivers side Headlight (LO) went out (HI still works). I replaced it w/ not 1, but 2 bulbs (Sylvania XtraVision H7 from auto parts store), and in each instance - the LO does not work, and the HI does. I have read that it could be the B + 2 fuse. IF the fuse is OK, and the wiring shows no wear or rust...

Side note --- The Passenger side headlight - BOTH LO and HI - works OK.

Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: The Driver Side Headlight Bounces

I bought a 6000K HID kit from Xenon Supply, the one specifically designed for the Sonata and I'm having a few issues. The driver side headlight "bounces" when I go over rough roads. I haven't really noticed anything from the passenger side. I took the driver side bulb out, re installed it and made sure it was secure, but the same problem exists. The bulb is moving around under the retaining clip when I drive over rough roads.

Also, now its blowing fuses. I took the entire kit out and reinstalled it, checked all the connections, but for some reason the kit is blowing the 20 amp fuse that came with the kit.

Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Driver Side Headlight Went Out - Low Beams Aren't Working

So about a 2 weeks ago my drivers side headlight went out. I figured it was the bulb (even though I had just replaced them about a month prior). Got new bulbs and nothing. I checked the fuse and it was not blown. I made sure the electrical connections to the bulb weren't dirty and were connected properly.

Then last night my passenger low beam went out. I had changed the bulb when the other side went out 2 weeks ago. Its still brand new and not blown. I did the same thing, the fuse is not blown and the electrical connectors are clean and secure.

I just took my car into the dealer about a week before the driver's light went out and did their "Major Service". They did tell me that I would need to replace my battery soon. Could this be the cause?

I drive a 2011 Hyundai Sonata SE 2.4L

Prius (2004-09) :: 2006 - Passenger Side High Beam And Driver Side Regular Headlight Went Out

My 2006 Prius (Model NHW20) has a strange headlight problem. On the passenger side, the high beam light is out but the regular headlight works.

On the driver side, the high beam is working but the regular headlight is out.

I don't think it's the fuses but I'm not sure. No amount of interchanging the following fuses changes anything about the issue:

1. 10A H-LP HI RH
2. 10A H-LP HI LH
3. 15A H-LP LO RH
4. 15A H-LP LO LH

Passat (B5) :: Low Beam Bulb Go Out On Driver Side - Headlight Adjustment?

I had a low beam bulb go out a month ago on the driver side. I bought some silvania silverstars to install on both sides. The drivers side went fine but as I installed the passenger side the inside reflector housing came loose, apparently popping off some spring clips inside the headlight housing. The passenger side headlight assembly now pointed towards the ground 10 feet in front of the car... I tried to adjust the screws to bring the light pattern back up. No joy.

Anyway I messed and messed trying to get the reflector housing to fit back on the spring clips. I ended up having to pull the bumper apart and the whole front side of the car to totally remove the headlight assembly. Once I got it out I found these little ball/socket spring clips and was able to put the assembly back together.

Now my issue is I have lost track of the adjustment screws and where the headlights should point. Any formula such as, "park your car 10ft from the garage door on the flat level. The low beam should be 30 inches off the ground on the bottom and the 40 inches at the top. The beam should be 50 inches from the center line of the car" Something like that so that I can get my headlights back to factory settings.

Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Headlight Beam Crossed Between Passenger And Driver Side

Lately I noticed that my headlight beams are crossed between passenger and driver side....

When I start up the car, the headlights move down and up for the initializing... all seems fine... While I backing my car out of the garage, I notice that my light beam start to drift closer to each other as I back out further and then finally crossed... the beam from my passenger headlight ended up on the driver side.... and the beam from my driver headlight ended up on the passenger side.

My AFS lamps are working and initializing when the car turn on.

Passat (B5) :: Driver Side Low Beam Doesn't Work After Replacement Of Both Low Beams Bulb

I had the heater core flushed, inspection done, a tie rod end replaced, and both low beams replaced to pass inspection in January. The driver's side low beam stopped working after a week.

When I would hit a bump in the road, it would start working for a while till I hit another bump and then it would go off. Now the driver's side low beam never works.

I could have gone back to the mechanic, but it's an 80 mile round trip(they used to be a lot cheaper than the dealership). Now that the weather is starting to get better, do you think it's a simple problem that I can fix myself? I don't want to waste 80 miles worth of gas just to have them charge me for something that they already charged me to fix. The next time I'm due an oil change I may go there and demand that they fix the light too, but I'm not going to waste 80 miles of gas just for the light.

Bmw - 325 :: Locking The Car With Key Won't Work / Driver Side Headlight And Indicator Is Out

I have a 2001 BMW 325x1 sport wagon with 211,000 miles. In the past four or five months random things have started happening.

1. Locking the car with the key won't work (the key was replaced two years ago). When I come back out to the car a few hours later it will work just fine. This happens every few weeks.
2. The head lights, brake lights, and left/right signal lights have burned out so I replaced EVERY light.
3. When I get in the car, the driver's side headlight and indicator is out. Five minutes into my drive the light goes on and the indicator light turns off.
4. Either on it's own, or at the same time as the headlight, the passenger side indicator light goes on. If I turn the passenger side signal on it clicks quickly a few times (indicating that the bulb is out), and then immediately switches to the normal clicking. This happens more than any of the other problems.5. The windshield wiper reservoir has a leak and is empty. Sometimes the indicator turns on to show it is empty, but then randomly turns off. Most of the time the indicator is not lit even though the reservoir is empty.

What is causing this to happen? Is there a short? What do I tell my mechanic...

Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Passenger Side Headlight Out

My Sonata 2011 Limited passenger side headlight went out yesterday. I checked and the bulb was still good. I even tested it on a brand new bulb (i keep a spare pair with me just in case) without any luck.

I brought the car to the dealer. The service advisor suggested the headlight is out but I explained to him that was not the case. He still wanted me to pay around $95 for the diagnostic fee which i refused to pay since my car is still under the 5year/60K miles warranty. I do not want them later telling me the bulb is bad and I have to pay another $65 to get it replaced while it is still good.

Before that, the left turn signal was blinking rapidly and it is an on and off problem. Hence, I suspected there is a electrical problem with the car. I do not have HID or any additional electrical equipment installed beside what came with the car originally.

Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Rear Driver Side Door Lock Won't Always Work

I am now having my first issue with my car in that the rear drivers side door lock won't always work.

After using the search function, it seems replacing the door lock actuator/solenoid solves this problem, but I could only find a diagram showing how to get at it on the drivers front door, not a rear door.

Looking for a diagram on how to do this, or info on it?
