I have a 2012 Sonata - My Drivers side Headlight (LO) went out (HI still works). I replaced it w/ not 1, but 2 bulbs (Sylvania XtraVision H7 from auto parts store), and in each instance - the LO does not work, and the HI does. I have read that it could be the B + 2 fuse. IF the fuse is OK, and the wiring shows no wear or rust...
Side note --- The Passenger side headlight - BOTH LO and HI - works OK.
I bought a 6000K HID kit from Xenon Supply, the one specifically designed for the Sonata and I'm having a few issues. The driver side headlight "bounces" when I go over rough roads. I haven't really noticed anything from the passenger side. I took the driver side bulb out, re installed it and made sure it was secure, but the same problem exists. The bulb is moving around under the retaining clip when I drive over rough roads.
Also, now its blowing fuses. I took the entire kit out and reinstalled it, checked all the connections, but for some reason the kit is blowing the 20 amp fuse that came with the kit.
I currently have a 2011 Sonata. The drivers side low beam head light does not work. I thought it was the bulb, so I went and purchased a H7 bulb. When I replaced it with a new bulb it still did not work. The high beam works fine. So I thought I bought a bad bulb. I then tried the bulb i bought on the passenger side and low and behold the low beam worked. I then put my old bulb that I thought was bad on the passenger side and it worked.
I swapped every light bulb on the drivers side (the new one and my old ones I already had), and none of the low beams would work. I course I did move the switch to the correct position inside the card and no go. The DayTime running lights work fine, I just cant get the low beam to work on the drivers side.
I tried checking the fuses to see if i had a blown fuse and no luck. I could not find a blown fuse. Is there a fuse somewhere for the low beam light, if so I cannot find it anywhere in any manual that I have searched. I have also heard that it may be the Body Control Module.
So about a 2 weeks ago my drivers side headlight went out. I figured it was the bulb (even though I had just replaced them about a month prior). Got new bulbs and nothing. I checked the fuse and it was not blown. I made sure the electrical connections to the bulb weren't dirty and were connected properly.
Then last night my passenger low beam went out. I had changed the bulb when the other side went out 2 weeks ago. Its still brand new and not blown. I did the same thing, the fuse is not blown and the electrical connectors are clean and secure.
I just took my car into the dealer about a week before the driver's light went out and did their "Major Service". They did tell me that I would need to replace my battery soon. Could this be the cause?

My Sonata 2011 Limited passenger side headlight went out yesterday. I checked and the bulb was still good. I even tested it on a brand new bulb (i keep a spare pair with me just in case) without any luck.
I brought the car to the dealer. The service advisor suggested the headlight is out but I explained to him that was not the case. He still wanted me to pay around $95 for the diagnostic fee which i refused to pay since my car is still under the 5year/60K miles warranty. I do not want them later telling me the bulb is bad and I have to pay another $65 to get it replaced while it is still good.
Before that, the left turn signal was blinking rapidly and it is an on and off problem. Hence, I suspected there is a electrical problem with the car. I do not have HID or any additional electrical equipment installed beside what came with the car originally.
Chrome trim on passenger side near headlight popped out some of it broken (only the pieces on the inside) any way I could salvage this trim without having to buy a new 1?...

I have a 2011 sonata with 72000 Km on it. As I am driving at highway speeds I notice a rattle from the drivers side towards the door. I can't quite locate where but have tried pushing trim and I can't stop it. Took it to the dealer and was told there was nothing wrong and no rattle. On a trip yesterday I noticed the rattle stopped as I braked. So I then applied very light pressure on the brake pedal. So light it did not come off cruise. And the rattle stops. What is the likely cause? I want to be prepared with some ideas when I take it back to the dealer.
View 4 RepliesI got in my 2011 Sonata today to go to work and my driver side door won't lock either electrically or manually. The other 3 doors lock and unlock just fine. I'm really concerned because I can't even lock it manually by pressing the lock in. How to fix this anomaly?
View 1 RepliesI have Shark Racing type 2 rear bumper reflectors. The drivers side only comes on now when I lock the car. How I can check for power to the reflector itself to make sure all is fine at the reflector. I suspect the problem will in inside the reflector. I am sure it would be a pain to try to fix one internally.

I have re-lubricated the bushing, and changed the oem end links to moog.
Have little wind noise on the driver side door up by the top. My wife's 2010 elantra has it and dealer couldn't hear it.

View 5 RepliesOn raising the drivers window, there is an odd rubbing/squeaking sound that appears to be coming from the were the glass is running along the rubber seal (B-Pillar side), during the final 2-3" of travel. While certainly no rubber expert (), I don't see anything out of place. It closes all right.
View 3 RepliesJust got a 2012 Limited 2.0T about 3 weeks ago. Didn't notice until last week that there is a noise coming from drivers front tire area at low speed (15-20mph). It sounds like a thin piece a metal is getting snagged and then snapping back into place. Took it back to Hyundai and they pulled the wheel and said everything looks fine and that it's due to new brakes needing to "wear in". At the time it was very limited when you would hear it, in the past week it's increased to an almost constant noise until I get over 20mph. I've searched and can't find anything dealing with this particular noise, what exactly I should look for when I pull everything apart? I'm more inclined to try and fix myself than believe the dealer. I can't seem to isolate it to a particular thing when driving, it does it on turns, going straight, stopping, accelerating.
View 9 RepliesMy 2013 Sonata, just out of the blue decided the driver side door push button wouldn't work anymore. it seems like it gets stuck when it's depressed, I can manually "pop" it back out and press the button and the doors lock/unlock but becomes stuck again.
