2010 SEL with projector headlights. Dash warning light comes on and passenger side headlights stop working - both high and low beam. Then light will go out and headlights start working. Jumps back forth and during the day between working and not working.
View 6 RepliesI'm new to Volkswagen, never had one before. Just bought my buddies 2003 GTI 20th anniversary #106. My bud install glass projector headlights, which he has the projector as his DRL's and for some reason when you release the E brake, which turns the DRL's, the projector lights on, they flicker and only the driver side stays on leaving the passenger side off. If I pull the E brake back up to turn them off and back down again it flickers on but won't stay on. Sometimes it does switch sides to where the passenger side works and the driver side doesn't but its the passenger side that mostly has the problem. Now I can continue to do this and eventually after 3 or 4 pulls of the E brake i can get them both working. I'm OCD about these little things like this and i want it to work right.

View 3 RepliesI have searched high and low, and I cannot find how to replace the factory low beam projector style headlight bulb on my wife's 2013 Tiguan SEL. It came with the factory LED style HID lights. There were a ton of videos and how to's for the regular Tiguan headlight replacement, and for aftermarket Ebay LED ones, but I can find anything about how to replace the factory low beam projector bulb, other than "take it to a dealer". My thinking is 'if the dealer can do it, so can I'! There has got to be a way. I can't get the wire bulb retainer loose, or get the bulb out of the headlight housing.
View 2 RepliesThe wipers on my '99 SW1 are becoming intermittent in operation. The intermittent speeds change, the set speeds work, but all operations are not stopping when turned off. They do turn off when I turn the ignition off. I think it is the multiswtch on the steering column, but haven't done much troubleshooting yet.
View 4 RepliesI'm trying to figure out what could be the reason why I have Intermittent wiper operation on this truck. It's a 99 Chevy 1500 4.8 4X4. It's almost like the wipers have a mind of their own. Sometimes working properly but most often not operating when needed the most. Is this one of the set-ups that has a pc board with a bad/cold solder connection? I'm sure that one of the regulars here has come across this at some time or another and found it to be a simple fix.
View 3 RepliesI own a 2008 Prius Touring and originally it was only the passenger headlight that would go out but since I've had it replaced not only is the driver's side going out and flickering but the passenger side still shuts off! If I get the driver's headlight (which is very old) replaced will it solve the problem? Is it a deeper problem? If so what is it and how do I fix it?
View 1 RepliesI just bought a used 2011 Santa Fe. Two weeks ago, the right window stopped working. Neither the left or right switch had any effect. All other windows worked. A few minutes later it was ok and has been since. Today the left window did the same thing; was inop for a while then ok.

Supposedly the gauge unlike the stepper motor I need to replace for the speedometer is actually voltage controlled by a circuit board in the cluster.
Having trouble setting up their Passengers Side mirror when in reverse? At one point it was set to move down when in Reverse, but lately it hasn't done it anymore. I tried re programming it and no luck.. The instructions in the Manual aren't too clear.. I've tried going off that, but still doesn't work correctly..

View 4 Replies I installed a trailer wiring kit for my Tiguan (etrailer.com). All was working fine until a few months ago. I am now having issues with my passenger rear tail light (does not come on for brakes / turn signal / hazard). The running light works.
At the present time the trailer wiring kit is disconnected. When I went to check this out it seems that some water had got in the seal on the light and there was some corrosion on the plug/connector. Initially I thought that was the issue, but it does not seem to be.
The light bulbs / connectors work fine (tested on opposite side). I checked the fuses and can't find an issue. Power is getting to the light but the the voltage on the rear tail light is very low (0.1-0.5V) compared to 8-10V on for the drivers side. I'm wondering if this is a bad relay or some corrosion somewhere else?
- What fuse(s) are for the tail lights?
- Is there a flasher relay that I may need to replace?
I just had my Prius retrofitted using the TRS Retro-Quik with the Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 projectors. Looks like the rotational alignment of the drivers side projector is rotated too far clockwise. Is it possible to fix the rotational alignment without taking the headlight apart again?
View 2 RepliesI had the OEM projector fogs installed today, as well as the rear fog and Euroswitch (will post pics soon!). I love the look of the lights off just as much as on - such a great mod! My only concern is that there is some kind of haze (almost like condensation, but not) on the inside of the driver's side housing. It doesn't appear to obstruct the light, but it is clearly visible when the fogs are on. What this might be?

Bought my 1st VW 2003 4 Motion W8. Love it! Headlight problems though. It's equipped with Bi Xenon lights? Thought they were just called xenon, but not sure. Drivers side comes on when car is started, but not passenger. This is with switch off and the drl light is on. Passenger side doesn't come on when lights are switched on. But if i turn the car off and back on both headlights light up. When both lights work when turned on neither work when turned off but i believe they should be on for daytime running lights. I have noticed the drivers side light(the one that works all the time)is very white in color and the pass side which is hard to get on is blue in color. High beams work normal. Do i need to change pass bulb?

I cleaned it up thinking the sunroof may not have been closed all the way at the dealership when they washed it. I drove it today in the rain and the front passenger side is wet again next to the console and near the seat. Where are the drains located at?
