how can i change my lighting from white to blue. can't figure out why my 2006 v6 instrument panel lighting was blue and now my 2006 v8 has white lighting. i love my blue . how can i change this?

View 2 RepliesSwap out the LED dome lights in a 2012 Camry SE? I'm considering switching the bulbs out from the yellow tone stock lighting to the white lighting LED bulbs. I am also considering floor lighting that can be activated with the dome light switch and/or with the doors opening. The issue I'm having is that I would like them to be hooked up to the same switch that the stock lights are set up with. (So I can use the dimmer switch for lighting). Where I would be able to tap into the wiring for this? Is there a DIY thread somewhere?

View 14 RepliesProud new owner of V8 Touareg here. I am hearing a faint "electrical" buzz from the 3" LCD Panel on the instrument panel. Noticeable while the engine is off, while engine is running, anytime the LCD panel is on. Dealer tells me this is a normal noise. Is this "normal" for the MFI?

View 2 RepliesI have a 2006 Prius with 285,000 miles on it, and I have NEVER had any problems with it, and I was VERY satisfied. Today when I woke up, I went to turn on my Prius to warm it up before we left for Christmas, and I noticed that the Speedometer, Gas Gauge, and Instrument panel did not light up. The Blinkers work, MFD works, and the Check engine light pops on and then off after I start the car. Even when my lights are on, the green light in the panel doesn't illuminate.
View 8 Replies2006 Chrysler 300 Limited. Very strange issue here. If the ignition key is turned on, and the headlight switch in ANY position (auto, off, parking, or on) the headlights and fog lights turn off and on on their own! No rhyme or reason to it. At first if the headlight switch was in the "auto" position, it wouldn't give me a problem. Now I can't shut the headlights off, the foglights off, or "flick" the high beams on by pulling the "multi-function" switch back. Long story short, i think the actual headlight switch might be faulty, but the multi-function switch not making the headlights do anything is what is making me second guess this issue. Where else I should look? Fuses are all fine.

View 1 RepliesIn the past few days, I've noticed that when my headlights are on the white backlighting of the speedometer, tachometer, and other gauges in the instrument cluster fail to illuminate, however the red needles within each gauge do illuminate properly. Furthermore, the rheostat adjustment does successfully brighten and dim the red needles, but the faces of the gauges remain dark. I checked fuses 23 and 27 and both are fine.
View 24 Replies2003 f350 5.4L auto 4x4. The lights stopped working on the dash so now I can't see the speedo at night. All the dummy lights and gauges work. I checked the 3 fuses for the cluster from the owners manual. All 3 are good. Here's the thing, fuse 35, Checked for continuity, my meter read 192 not all zero's like it should have. I pulled the fuse and rechecked it, it was good.
I replaced it anyway. rechecked with fuse in, I get 192 again. pulled fuse again, checked both sides of socket for voltage and I'm getting 12.64 volts on both sides of the socket. Even though the fuse reads good, could this be the reason my cluster isn't lighting up? Is there a fuse on the back of the cluster?
I see a lot of threads on the cluster lights being out but its usually no tail lights or power windows or other things, and if there's a solution nobody is posting it. Mine is simply no lights on dash or I should say (No Back lighting). All my lights inside and outside work.
Im trying to put in footwell lighting ran all the wires and all but trying to make a connection cant seem to find a fuse box under the instrumental panel...! Where can i connect under panel..! Looking for pics....
View 9 RepliesHaving issue with the 2006 Touareg instrument clusters. The upper left hand corner of the instrument cluster is getting dim. Also, my wife was driving to work the other day, and she stated that she heard what sounded like electrical arcing behind the console. Just curious. She has had the touareg in for service for the air bag error, which they had to order a part. Also, a mysterious headlight error keeps popping up, but then goes away. I don't want a fireball touareg.

View 3 RepliesMy cars runs great no smoke unless i let it idle for a while then go there might be a little white smoke or blue smoke just depends, doesn't do it all the time just random, my oil is perfect no water in it so I don't think headgasket, its running a precision 50 trim bigger injectors and full 3 inch exhaust.
