I have a 1995 945SET the rear washer pump works but no water comes out of the nozzle, where do I find the rear washer nose and how do I get into it to repair or replace it?

View 23 RepliesJust want to make sure I'm naming the part correctly. It's a pump that between the radiator and the block. It stays on after the car is turned off. This is on a 2005 GLI 5 speed tip.
Lately, its not turning on. If it does, it's just for a brief moment and then turns off. After some searching, I've read post of other asking about by-passing it. Would that be a benefit? What's gained from that? I understand the pump is on while the engine is running, does it provide additional cooling? I'm planning on checking it out this weekend and wondering if it could be rebuilt? Could you guys indicate which vendor on the web has the best price?
I recently purchased a 2003 Explorer. Two weeks after I bought it I found out the motor on the windshield washer water pump was shot. The dealership fixed it for free. About a week after I got it back when I was driving in the morning to work I noticed the check gauge light go on and saw that my temp gauge was pointed at HOT!! I pulled over and stopped immediately. As soon as I slowed down the temp gauge went back down to normal. It happened 2 or 3 more times and had it back at the dealership. They are stumped. They sent it to a Ford dealership and they couldn't find anything either.
They said they have checked everything and it is not overheating. They even put a thermometer on it while they drove it and it didn't get over 205* I am surprised it didn't do it to them because it happens almost every morning. I only work 4.3 miles from my house so its not like I am driving very far. It usually happens at about 3 miles. As soon as I see it going up (and I watch it a lot!!) I take my foot off the gas and start to slow down or barely press the brake it goes right back to normal. Then it stays at normal the rest of the day. Is it the sensor or the wiring or did the do something to it when the fixed the washer motor?
How to replace the windshield washer nozzle? If it makes a difference it's the driver side one. It's clogged and I'd like to try and soak it in some stuff to dissolve the clog and/or replace it myself. The dealer was going to charge me ~$150 to do this and trying to see if I can do it myself.

View 3 RepliesI have an 09 Camry SE. My right windshield spray nozzle is not spraying, it's just flowing out. I ran a small wire down it and nothing changed. I called 2 dealers and looked up the part and there are 5 different angles listed the dealers said I had to remove it so they could match the angle for the pitch of the windshield. Seems ridiculous that they would not know,but the parts breakdown lists all 5.
View 4 RepliesThe windshield washers of 2014 Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v) didn't work all winter if the temp was +20F or less. I'm using -30F or -40F washer fluid. I use the same fluid in my 1995 Previa, and its washers worked all winter. A friend has a 2014 Prius, which didn't have any washer problems.
I tried pouring warm water over the nozzles, but they're location makes it difficult to reach them. Is it the nozzles or is it the rubber hose that feeds them from the reservoir?
2012 Elantra GLS ... The windshield washer spray pattern is too low. The nozzles on the Elantra appear to be entirely plastic unlike the conventional ball which I can poke a needle in to adjust it. I ran the hand under the cowl cover and could not feel any kind of adjustment mechanism. How to adjust the nozzles to aim higher.

View 3 RepliesMy 1995 chevy camaro has been overheating. at first i thought it was the thermostat sticking because there was no spewing or smoking so i changed the thermostat and my car was still over heating. I finally found out that the water pump was leaking fluids. so I changed out the water pump and filled it full of coolant. i turned on my car and within 10 minutes the gauge went up to 260 degrees and went down a little bit but stayed around 260, there was no spewing or leaking or smoking again. I was thinking that maybe now it could be the sensor but im not sure.
View 1 Replies1995 Ford Van E150. So I've been trying to solve my overheating problem for months now. One morning I walked out of my house and all of my coolants was on the street. I could not completely detect the source of the leak after running more coolant through it. I also checked the dip stick and coolant on the ground for any sign of oil/coolant mixing. I started by replacing the thermostat.
I did a more thorough inspection and found a crack at the bottom of the radiator that I replaced less than two years ago. I replaced the radiator again and while I had the belt, intake and fan disassembled I switched out the water pump as well. The old water pump was gunked and the gasket was almost completely worn off. The van is still overheating and spitting out coolant at a much higher rate. I'm guessing because of the new water pump. A friend said it could be the intake manifold because of where the steam was coming from the motor.
Window washer nozzle break? My passenger side broke last Friday and then today when inspecting the driver's side it broke in the exact same place. They broke near where the nozzle that is inserted into the hose takes a 90 degree turn up through the hood leaving parts of the nozzle in the hose. I was able to squeeze the rubber hose with pliers to break up the plastic nozzle so that it would fall out. Attempts to grab broken nozzle piece with needle nose pliers were unsuccessful. Of course they waited too break until 8 months after my warranty expired but not a big deal. 10 minute install. I got the last two that the dealer had in stock.

Looks like the hose is made of some plastic material that doesn't like flexing very much. I guess I opened the rear hatch enough times to break it.
Is this a common problem? Is there a proper size coupler available to fix this?
My daughters 95 Volvo 850 had a sagging rear bumper. I prchased new mounting brackets and removed the bumper. It turned out the brackets were for a 5 door, and her car is a 4 door. I returned to the dealership and was told that they can only get the left side bracket and that the right side bracket is no longer available. The brackets look nearly the same except the mounting holes are opposite. I went ahead and ordered two left side brackets. I am hoping to be able to drill holes in one of them to fit it on. The bumper is now off the car and the old brackets are rusted to nothing.

View 3 RepliesMy son just got a 2001 Explorer Sport. Among the minor issues that need taken care of is an interesting situation with the wipers. The wipers only function when you press the wash button. It operates fine with wash, it parks fine after wash cycle. However, I get no response from any settings in the normal wiper switch. Where to start looking? Bad connector? Switch? It does have a tilt wheel, wire pulled out of connector?
