Dodge - Durango :: 2003 - Stalling / RPMs Would Fall Off Drastically When Come To A Stop

2003 Dodge Durango 4wd, 4.7 liter, 130,000 miles ... I'm having a problem with stalling. First started about 3 months ago, when I would come to a stop, the rpm's would fall off drastically, but would rebound right away. About a week later, it would actually stall, but I could start it without a problem. Took it to a local shop where they said my cam sensor needed replacement. That was done and it ran good for about 2 weeks when the same thing started again.

Took it back to the same shop and they told me that the cam sensor had gone bad or the sensor that had been put in was faulty. They replaced it at no charge to me, but they said that the crank sensor needed to be flashed and that had to be done by the dealer. So off to the dealer I went, and they told me that the crank sensor needed to be replaced not flashed. I had them do that and it ran good for about 2 weeks again and now it's starting to stall again.

Accent LC (2000-05) :: 2002 - Brake Chattering Will Rise Or Fall With The Speed

When I depress my brakes the right rear chatters, almost as if metal is on metal. Depending upon my speed when I brake the chattering will rise or fall with the speed I'm braking. Sound familiar?

Honda - Cr-v :: 2001 Stalls Almost When In Gear Or Even When RPMs Fall To Idle

Have a 2001 CRV that is running really bad. It almost stalls when I put it in gear or even when the RPM's fall to idle. It is now throwing a p0172 code. I have a simple scan tool and verified the MAP reading and primary O2 voltages as suggested by the manual, both appeared to be normal. It seems all the symptoms point to valve clearance, however the valve were adjusted not 2000 miles ago by the dealer during the 150K service, and this issue has existed before and after that adjustment. I also cleaned the IAC screen with no changes.

Ford - Taurus :: Oil Pressure Light Comes On When Engine Heats Up And RPM Fall Below 1500 Or At Idle

I have a 2000 Ford Taurus V6 DOHC w/170K miles. When engine heats up, oil pressure light comes on, but only when RPM fall below 1500 or at idle. There is a burnt smell sometimes after driving the car. I do not see froth or coolant in the oil. Car burns a little oil, but no more than it has been for the last 50K miles. Just had oil and filter changed 300 miles ago; I was using 10W-30 but I believe the mechanic used 5W-30. (Also, if I drive more than 45 minutes, the "low coolant" light comes on-- however, the engine is not overheating, and the radiator/reservoir are full.) What part(s) I should order first? Oil pressure sensor? Oil pump? (If at all possible, I need to repair myself, as I simply cannot afford my mechanic's hourly rates right now.)

07/ES350. Feel vibrations when the lever is on D or R? It started to vibrate a little bit on D, when the engine is hot. No lights. I noticed that when I shift in D there's no rpm rise.

Azera HG (2011-16) :: White Smoke Coming Out At Idle Continuously

I have just bought a Hyundai Azera 2013 28,000 miles on it. The car is under warranty. I notice not a lot but a good amount of white smoke when I start it in the morning. If it is a warm day I don't see the smoke again. But if is cold weather or a rainy day I see while smoke come out at idle continuously, even after the engine is warm ! I have not noticed that with my Camry or Honda CRV anything like this. I am wondering if it is anything to do with GDI engine ?

I took it to the dealer and they said they could not reproduce the problem. They did multi points checks and everything is ok. Also , I have checked the Carfax report. Looks like the previous owner , who leased the car, did not do all required maintenance except oil changes. I bought the car as CPO .

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: At Low Idle Fan Running Like 230 Rpm Causing ECT To Rise?

So at low idle my fan is running like 230rpm according to torque pro. I think this is causimg my ect to rise when at idle. It's usually 192-194* but if I'm idling in traffic or just In general (after it's been running a while) it climbs to 195.8, 197, 199.2, 201, 203, 204.8. Haven't seen it get higher than the 204. Now once I get moving again it will lower back down. I can see where I have flow into the degas not to mention the water pump is new. Could my low fan speed be my issue? I believe it should be more around 500rpm at low idle.

Toyota - Overheating - Sequoia :: 2004 - AC Cuts Out And Temp Gauge Begins To Rise At Idle

At idle, on hot days (90+) after about a minute, the A/C cuts out and the temp gauge begins to rise. Gets about 3/4 of the way to the red zone, but never reaches it. I changed radiator cap, but still does it. Fluid level is fine; no coolant leaks that I can see. Called a mechanic and asked about a radiator flush. He said he'd do one, but it probably wouldn't work and I should just bring it in for a diagnostic.

Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: 2005 - Idle Really Rough / Revs Will Rise And Then Drop Again If Blip The Throttle

I just locked out the cam phasers on a 2005 f150 with a 5.4. It now idles pretty rough. If I blip the throttle the revs will rise and then drop again, and it barely catches in time to prevent a stall. If I continue to tease it this way I can usually get it to stall. I'm getting no CELs or anything, but I intermittently will get a P035x code (it seemed to rove. I've gotten cylinder 1, 4, 6, but not consistently.). I have chased those around by swapping coils, checking/cleaning the connectors, etc.

I am kind of thinking that these codes are a symptom of my idle issues, and not the actual problem. What could I have done wrong? Could it be a vac issue? I had basically the entire ECU harness and all the vac lines disconnected to do the job, but as far as I can tell everything has been reconnected to the correct locations. I did have an SCT tune done to remove the phasers in the ECU. I installed it and still have the issue, so for now I am on the stock tune just to eliminate any variables.

Could my tune be the issue? Is this how you would expect the engine to behave with locked out phasers and no corresponding ECU tune?

Corolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: Engine Temp Slowly Rise When Stuck In Traffic For A Few Minutes (Idle / Braking)

I've noticed that in the past week or so, whenever I'm stuck in traffic for a few minutes, the engine temp will slowly rise. it gets really bad if traffic is crawling; the temp has reached that 2nd highest line before the red area.

Whenever I get going again and hit the gas, the temp drops. What it is?

Car is currently at 86k miles. I don't believe the water pump has been replaced yet.

I have Prius 2010 and I was getting 20 km/l to 22 km/l until I repaired the part which is between two tires and when you revolve your steering it revolve due to that rod. Right after I drive my car as I came out of workshop, it seems that my engine keep running more and turn off less.

1- Can I check if my Hybrid battery is getting weak or what is the health of my hybrid battery ?

2- Is there any way if I can check my front tires are revolving without any friction and revolving freely ?

Tires - Dart :: 2002 Mazda Protege Pulls To The Right Drastically?

I have a 2002 Mazda Protege DX. I recently had a flat on the front passenger side. The tire was worn and the shop replaced both front tires, rotated them to the back and the ones that were in the rear to the front. So the new tires are on the rear and the the old tires are in the front. When we got the car back it started pulling pretty drastically to the right and on the highway has a tendency to dart (it was not like this when we brought it in). We took it back and they said that it was due to uneven ware on the front and bad bushings. Is this true? And, why would it be fine one evening and start to pull so drastically the next day?

Celica :: 1992 2.2 - Idle Surge Between 500 To 750 Rpm

My 1992 Toyota, Celica had developed a really weird idle surge. The idle surges between 500 to 750 rpm. The surge goes away with the AC on and it idles steady at 900 Rpm. It also has a slight off idle bog that may just be another symptom of the weird idle.

I did the diagnostic test today and it doesn't flash any codes. I pulled the EGR valve off and cleaned the gunk out of it and it didn't make any difference. I tried to check the timing and it idles so bad the timing bounces 7-10 degrees with the surge. When I did the jumper to check the timing it would kill the engine. The plugs and wires are new with in a couple thousand miles. It runs fine above idle and pulls to redline easily in the lower gears.

Yesterday when I was messing with it I had the car running with the air boot from the air cleaner to throttle body off. I sprayed carb cleaner into throttle body and it seems to clear up a little bit. Then it went back to surging again.

I tried to pull the TPS off yesterday and of course the bottom screw stripped out. Now I will have to pull the throttle body off to get the screw out. I wish it would throw a code so I could have it give me a clue.

I just bought this little car. It ticks at an idle and it burns 1/4 qt of oil a month. It doesn't stop ticking when I add oil so Im at a loss.. It isn't a loud tick either. It has 200,000 miles on it but it is in great condition besides this.

Toyota :: 1992 - Idle Goes Up And Down Between Very Low And 4000 RPM

I have a gorgeous, mint 4x4 1992 Toyota pickup...that runs terribly. Sometimes, it won't start. When it does start, it often idles very, very low. (Idler tension cable was adjusted up but it didn't work.) When I drive it, the idle goes up and down between very low and 4000 RPM. Sometimes, it stalls out all together, regardless of what I do to the clutch, brake, or acceleration. In an engine diagnosis, Knock Sensor came up, but there's a new one, and the cable harness is fully gone through. It's got a new engine with 67,000 miles on it, a new fuel pump, and just about every part has been replaced. It's been to about 10 mechanics, all of whom can't figure it out.

I have a 92 fire bird , just got it. Ran fine, idled a little high, but after a bit, it went down. Now, when it idles, it just wants to die when I come to a stop at a red light or stop sign. It dies, unless I keep one foot on the brake and another on the gas to keep it idled up.

Ford - F250 :: 1995 - CEL Starts Blinking And Then Stays On / Power Drops Off Drastically

I have a 1995 F250 SuperDuty pickup with a 5.8L FI Engine and an automatic Transmission with Overdrive. The truck runs great except when I am towing a trailer up a grade. When I start the grade climb after a few minutes, the Check Engine Light starts blinking and then stays On, and the power drops off drastically. Sometimes I am just going 30 mph up the grade. Doesn't matter if I am towing a 1500 Lb or a 6000 LB trailer, the behavior is the same. I might mention that when I am towing I turn OFF the overdrive via the button on the end of the transmission shifter. When I reach the summit, of if I am going downhill, or on flat ground the Check Engine light goes OFF and power returns. I understand that the 1995 F250's computer does not store codes, so I am up the creek on this one. I don't know how I can simulate the condition at a mechanics shop.

Dodge - Intrepid :: 2004 - Transmission Automatically Downshifts Drastically Then Will Not Come Out Of That Lower Gear

I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid. Here's the deal. When I drive on the highway (higher speeds) and then slow down, the car (automatic transmission) automatically downshifts drastically (like throw me through the windshield drastically) and then will not come out of that lower gear.. UNLESS I turn off the engine and restart it, THEN it fixes itself (took me a while to discover this). When I am driving around town at lower speeds this does not happen. Only if I get to higher speeds and then slow down. And one other symptom...SOMETIMES I can just be at a stop light/sign, still in drive, but when I put on the gas to go, it stays, like the car is in neutral, even though the gearshift is still in drive.
