How do I access the wiring connector for a driver side door mirror on a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country van? I thought a door mirror replacement would be a simple task.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2001 Town & Country with 157,000 miles. The driver rear automatic sliding door will not work. You can hear the motor running but it doesn't totally close...so I open and close manually. I looked in Chrysler service manual...could this be a power latch assembly?? How hard would it be to replace myself. The rear hatch is the same way have to manually open/close...can hear motor and it goes through motions but doesn't open. ???? Then today the rear wiper wouldn't work....
View 12 RepliesWell I took the GX into a rough part of town in and literally left the car parked for 30 minutes, and I come back to find the drivers side mirror missing. Good news is, the thieves unplugged it, dare I say professionally and I have no ripped or spliced wires, everything is in tact. I found a mint condition mirror on ebay and bought it for a fraction of the cost the stealership would charge, however as simple as it looks, it is a bit difficult to snap the mirror onto the white plastic piece. I do not want to apply too much pressure and crack the mirror from the front. Any hacks on an easier way to put it in?
View 7 RepliesI just purchased a Jetta and it needs both side mirrors replace. Now I have used the search with a lot of success but for some reason I haven't been able to find out how to get to the bolts for the side mirrors. How do you get to the bolts to replace the side mirrors ?. I am also sure I could figure it out in time but I would rather not break anything trying to force parts off.

View 13 RepliesWhy do my wipers pop up about 2" each time the horn blows when the door is opened? They don't pop up if the car is running and I blow the horn myself. My local Chrysler service center has attempted to fix the problem twice without success. Once by replacing the door harness and then by replacing the multifunction switch. The problem is still there and my warranty is running out!
View 11 RepliesWe are currently driving home, and our Chrysler Town & Country's rear hatch door won't unlock and open, by key or handle, so our suitcases are trapped in back. We don't know if there's an easy fix, but we won't get home until Sunday, when our mechanic is closed. We'd like to unpack!
View 5 RepliesI have A 2012 Chrysler T&C purchased new Sept. 2012. At times heat comes from one side and cold from the other. Varies which side is cold or hot. Had problem from start and Chrysler said was working on solution. Had back to dealer many times with no fix. Warm weather came, no problem. Cold weather now here and same problem. Chrysler's fix was turn heat control all the way up then back down.

View 3 RepliesI have a 2000 Chrysler 300M. Recently I got in the car and shut the door normally, not a hard slam or anything, and the driver side window just shattered to pieces. After having the glass replaced I had my mechanic check out the window regulator thinking that may have have been loose or in some way caused the glass to break. It checked out fine, no problem with the mechanism could be found. I've been using the window since then for about 3 months with no problems. What could have caused this window to crumble?

When it is raining and after I have gone 20 minutes or so driving and then come to a stop it makes a loud noise from the passenger side, sometimes the front most times the rear. It is a rattling metallic sound It sounds like a motorcycle engine sound. It continues for a few minutes and then stops. There seems to be a burning smell with it too.

Fiirst time used heat blows cold from one side hot from other. not consistent, will vary from left cold, then hot from right or the opposite. been fighting with chrysler from then till now. engineers know problem exists and are working on a fix. haven't found it yet. contacted chrysler numerous times, just get passed from one to another.
View 2 RepliesMy self-closing door feature on my driver door has stopped working recently. The other three doors self-closing door feature works flawlessly.
Is there an easy solution, such as a fuse? Or, does something else, more extensive, need to be done, i.e., should I seek out a professional mechanic?
As an aside, around the same time (if not the same time), my folding side mirror for my driver door stopped working. Any possibility they are related?
We ran the side mirror into a tall trash can. I replaced the mirror but need to replace the blinker assembly that is in the bottom of the mirror. I bought it and can't see how to take mirror apart to put it in.

View 9 RepliesSo I noticed a while back when I bought this car that my driver's side side-view mirror was a little loose. I didn't think anything of it back then b/c it still worked fine. Then just a couple of weeks ago the driver's side side-view mirror fell & hung by the wires connected to it. I can put it back to how's is supposed to be but it's really loose now. So I looked at the plastic pieces that hold this thing in place and I saw this:
If I put it back where it's supposed to be it stays up there but is very loose!
I was driving down the street when another car side swiped mine. There wasn't any noticeable damage, but the side mirror on my driver side popped out.
It doesn't look like anything is actually broken. The mirror just popped out. Can I pop it back in or will I need to get it looked at?
The reason I ask is I didn't notice any other parts of the mirror on the street, but can't seem to get it to pop back in.
I've just finished installing Driver Side Puddle Lights just under the mirror. I still haven't coded it yet.

As I want to use the electrical mirrors to adjust my driver side mirror, passenger side mirror moves too. Is it possible that these faults caused by not coded ECU?
I connected ground wire of my LED to blue and black cable connected to the mirror and ran another wire from unit 10 in 16 pin door connector to live wire from my LED.
I am just curious about my passat side mirrors ... the passenger mirror is smaller then the driver side?
