My own this Honda Odyssey since 2008. I found this strange problem when I drove it from Tuscon to Phoenix during a Windy day, it was making kind of Howling Screeching noise at the Drivers window. then it went away. Then I realized it happens only when the Wind is blowing at a specific Angle and when the Van is at some high speed.
View 1 RepliesAbout 3 days ago there was a complete power loss to the Driver Side Window and Sliding Door. Checked both fuse panels and everything looked good. Is there a relay that controls the entire driver side? There's no whining or noise at all when you push the buttons. Just complete loss of power. If you press the button for the passenger window on the driver door, everything works. So its not that the driver side door as a whole has problems.
View 4 RepliesI leased a 2010 Honda Civic (non-hybrid) in March of 2010. I had to replace the front brake pads at 8K miles, 18.5K miles and now again at 27K miles. Each time, I get a screeching, grinding noise from the driver-side front wheel. At 8K, I went to a dealership (not the one where I got the car) who replaced them for free "as a courtesy" (apparently, brake pads aren't covered under the warranty). At 18.5K, I went to the dealership where I leased the car from; they said that it didn't look like the other dealer had actually performed the work (yet somehow, the screeching noise went away). They charged me $250 to replace the brake pads and buff the rotors. Now, at 27K, the screeching noise has returned. The dealership has warrantied their prior work and isn't charging me. They claim that there is nothing wrong with the braking system. When I asked them why the pads keep going after 9K miles, they said they don't know, and maybe its the way I brake. I do 80+% highway driving and while I do encounter stop and go traffic on a daily basis, I don't think this is normal.
View 6 RepliesWhat caused this. The attached pictures show what looks like melted plastic on the window frame to the right side rear passenger door. I noticed the damage after running errands one morning. What might have caused this? Any thing electrical inside the car or external?
View 18 RepliesMy 2007 Honda Odyssey has problems with the A/C blower. When I turn the AC on, the vents have nice cold air coming from the passenger side if the car, but the driver side is warm. It's not until about 20 minutes in, that the drivers side finally cools to the right temperature. Both drivers side and passenger side temperatures are synced together at the same temperature on the dash panel. Why would this happen? Isn't there just one compressor and one blower mechanism??
View 5 RepliesA couple of weeks ago our 2007 Odyssey started having door issues - driver's side sliding door would get about 85% closed (approx 6 inches from closed) then beep and reverse back open. Wife took it to the dealership and they said the rollers were dead and it would be $400 to repair them. Suggested we wait till it got bad. A week later on the cape, it got bad -- doors were getting really stuck, even in manual.
I replaced the roller assy on the door (the rollers were GONE!) and it now operates manually just fine now. I'm left with the following issues:- Door still won't close during automatic operation. Gets 80% closed then beeps and reverses closed.- Door doesn't open automatically during operation from the key FOB or the driver's control panel on the console. (I hear an actuator running when I press the buttons, just no obvious release). The door auto-opens fine from all other modes (inside lever, outside handle).
I've tried multiple "door reset" routines to no avail -- not sure if I have the correct "routine" for my '07 EX, or if something else is in play.
2008 Odyssey - sometimes produces loud whining noise. Noise will pause when I slightly touch the brake and resume when I release the brake surprisingly will pause when I hit the road bump.

I have 2007 Honda accord. All three passenger side windows will not work. The driver side window do work however. The lock out button is not activated. When I press the switches to the passenger windows, it makes a click sound but windows will not open. This just started happening all at the same time without any warning.
View 2 RepliesMy driver side power window on my '05 Honda Pilot is not working. Checked all fuses and none are blown. At first I thought it may be the window regulator/motor. I got an new aftermarket regulator/motor set and connected it to the 6-pin control and power cable to test it prior to installation. It did move when I hit the switch. BUT the power window control unit (magic black box in driver side door) clicked when I try to use the failed driver side window. I understand that this control unit also controls the other windows and they all work just fine AND the control unit does NOT click when I lower/raise those other windows. Do I have a bad power window control unit? Is it suppose to click when I lower the driver side window (and not click with other windows)? Could it be something else? I did check the output voltage to the driver window regulator and it did not have the required 12 V to run the motor when switch is activated.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2008 Prius, but my wife drives it. I think this problem has been going on a long time, but because my wife drives the car, I never noticed it. When I raise switch to raise the window on the driver side there is a little click after which the windows should roll up to the top and stop with out holding the window switch.
Mine does this, however it gets to the top and then drops back a little. This does not happen if you don't engage the automatic roll up feature.
I found a couple of threads that talked about window calibration, but I cannot find anything more than that.

My '04 driver window would squeal when going up or down....dealer replaced entire window track/molding around door window opening. Fixed the squeal, but the new rubber molding looked like crap from wrinkle, stretching, etc.
Now, to today. My '07 is now doing the same squeal on both sides! I do not want 'new' trim/tracks installed because I'm convinced they can't do it like 'factory'. It's worse when it hot and sunny out...vs...rainy or dew.
My next step is to remove my door panels and 'q-tip' some clear silicone into the tracks on the window edges...as I believe the problem is simply 'dry rubber' which is rubbing the window edges. Rain or high humidity offers just enough 'lube' to prevent all but the slightest squeaks.
I replaced my auxiliary battery yesterday and everything was working fine. This morning my driver side window will not close back up. All the other windows are working fine. I drive a 2008 Prius btw with roughly 50000 miles....
View 8 RepliesWould be very interested in any fixes known for an annoying, recurring drivers side window/upper door frame rattle in my 2008 ES 350, occurs when going over bumps, uneven roads, or sometimes with just normal driving. Intermittent, but very common. Have had dealer address this and they replaced the "glass run" on that side, but rattle returned within a few days. Will try some silicon spray to dampen it, but seems like there is some flaw when the window is full up to door frame that produces this ticking rattle- can eliminate it by lowering the window an inch so that it does not insert into door frame.
View 7 RepliesI have been having sporadic issues with the button/system of my drivers side window. It is an '06 XLT SCrew. The window always reponds when I am lowering, but there are times when I hit the button and it won't come up. I wiggle the armrest, or fiddle with the button and it will eventually work. I haven't been to a dealer yet, but I know this will totally fail at the most inconvenient moment. The other three windows work great.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2006 Ford F-150 with about 43,000 miles .. love it. However, my driver side window stopped working today. For about the past month when you would power up, it would delay and then go up. This happened every so often. Going down was never a problem. Some times window would go up, then drop down an inch or so. Now this morning I went to the store and the window won't go up and it is down all the way. I do not hear grinding, only clicking. All other windows work fine.
View 5 RepliesRolled it down yesterday. Won't roll back up. Without hitting any buttons, I hear a click in the door every 15 seconds or so. During these 15-20 seconds, when I hit the power window button, the door makes a clicking noise like it is trying to activate the motor, but nothing happens. Then it clicks, and for the next 15-20 seconds, no click, no noise, no matter how many times I hit the window switch. Then after the next click, I will hear a click again whenever i hit the button, and so on and so on, on and off every 15 seconds. I tried taking apart the switch box and checking the contacts. They were fine.

View 5 RepliesMy driver side power window on my '05 super crew f150 has stopped working. It rolled down maybe 3-4 inches or so and the stopped working and now will not go up or down. All of the other windows/locks/mirrors on the main switch work so I'm not sure if I should start with replacing the motor or try the switch first.
View 3 RepliesI recently bought a 2005 Elantra. At about 45 mph I start noticing air noise from the Driver side window. It peaks at about 70 mph. Not super loud but sounds almost like the window is very slightly cracked open. There is no air intrusion or water during rains.
I had the dealer check it and they test drove and said that it was normal and probably caused by the mirrors.
I have had mirrors like this before on other cars and never had air noise.
My question to you all is; Is this normal or should I pursue it further.
From day 1, my car's been making this wind noise from driver's side window. It sounds like window is very slightly open and wind is sipping through at high speed, 60mph+.
I've read posts about our side mirror shape that might be at fault. I've also seen people mentioning how GS does not have "window fin" thing by side mirror when ES and LS have it.
So today while driving on highway when there was significant wind sipping noise, I folded my side mirror to see if that made any difference. Nope, no difference, not louder, not quieter. So I started to feel my hand along the window from inside, pushing different parts to if that made a difference. And there was one place that made the wind noise go away.
I found out that rubber/plastic guide on the door, top portion, right by the b-pillar, somewhat triangular shape part was loose. On passenger side, it was fitted tight but on driver's side, it was a bit loose. I fixed it tight and test drove, pretty windy weather, no wind noise now!!!
Okay first i will start with the driver side window... it doesnt want to go up or down but it creates a clicking noise, and then the blower doesnt blow anymore.
