View 1 Replies2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport: Sometimes the directionals shut off after a few blinks and sometimes they don't work at all. I think I identified the area where the blinker noise comes from. It is to the left underneath the steering wheel column.
View 7 RepliesI recently purchased a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. It drives great but there is a problem with the blinkers. They only work about 15% of the time. Most of the time when I try to use my signal, nothing happens. They don't light up, they don't make the blinker sound, and they aren't flashing. Now, the hazard lights always work and I can sometimes get the blinkers to come back on by adjusting the steering wheel column. Weird right?

View 2 RepliesAll of this happened at the same time so has to be related. The a/c system has no power, the brake lights and turn signals don't work, windows wont work, air bag light on. However, the park lights, head lights and hazards work fine. Starts and runs fine. All fuses check out ok. New battery as well.
View 3 RepliesI have a 95 Jeep Cherokee that has a strange electrical problem. When I first turn the car on after it has been sitting for several hours, the following accessories do not work:- Air conditioner/Ventilation- Wipers- Cigarette lighter
There are two really odd things going on here: The first is that the radio will not work if any of the above three things are turned on, but it WILL work if they are all turned off. For example, with the wipers and AC off, and cell charger unplugged from the lighter, the radio will turn on. As soon as I plug the charger in, or turn on the wipers or AC, the radio goes off. None of these accessories actually turn on, but simply being putting them in the "on" position kills the radio until they are switched off.
The second weird thing is that after a few minutes of driving, everything will return to working as normal - radio, AC, lighter, etc. They continue to work until the next time the car has been sitting for several hours, at which point the same problem repeats.
FYI, I recently replaced the alternator to address an unrelated issue, but it did not make a difference with this one.
I searched the car talk forums for similar issues, but did not have any luck - while it does look like there are some other Chrysler vehicles that have electrical problems, I couldn't find anything dealing with an intermittent problem.
Nissan Pathfinder SE-V6 4x4 My blinkers quit working, but flashers still come on. All 3 brake lights also went out but tail lights still work. when the car is cranked and blinker is on there is a buzzing (alert) sound and the oil temp light comes up on the dash, there is no sound when the key is in the on position, only when it is cranked. Occasionally there is a crackle through the speakers that usually goes away when I turn it off. I don't know if the last part is relevant but I figured I would put it in anyway. Is this an easy fix or are there serious electrical problems?

Perhaps they didn't drive long enough..it hadn't 'warmed up'? Everyone who rides with me hears it. It is very very annoying. What could this be?

Have a 1999 Chevy Lumina. Brake lights do not work and neither do the blinkers. Changed bulbs, fuses are okay, changed flasher module.

View 4 RepliesFor those of you who have not purchased a new car for a while and are considering doing so in the near future I want to share the recent service experience I had for my 2015 Jeep Cherokee. I don't know if my experience was typical but I suspect it is.
I took my Jeep to the dealer for a routine service (LOF and tire rotation). The total time at the dealer was about 4 hours. Of that time, about 2 1/2 or 3 hours was spent in updating the software for the various computers. It had never occurred to me that computers were that pervasive in new cars.
Attendant to that, my Jeep has the 3.2L V6 engine, which comes with start/stop technology (when you stop at a stop light the engine shuts off and restarts when you take your foot off the brake). After the service was completed I noticed the start/stop function had stopped working. I contacted the dealer. The customer service representative spoke with the service technician, who contacted Chrysler. It seems that all of the software updates (there were a total of 6 of them) may take 3-7 days to become fully integrated into the system. I was told to wait a few days to see if the problem rectified. Sure enough, when I drove it today it had.
I have a 1997 Ford F250. My trailer lights will work, but I have no brake lights or turn lights. I have checked all my fuses and all the fuses are good.
I was told it was probably my trailer tow relay, so I bought it at O'Reilly's, but I don't know which relay it is exactly.
I just want to know which relay number it is so I can replace it. And, if this doesn't sound right, is there something else I should be trying?
I have a 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer with Towing Package. I just recently bought a Trailer and when they tested my 7 pin plug, I was only getting Running lights and 12v Charging. Im not getting Left/Right Blinkers or Brake. There is NO power. I checked all Fuses. The problem is, I cant find the Blinker/Brake fuse. The manufacture book does not show one.

View 8 Replies2006 F250 Diesel 125000. Got truck back from dealer pulling out noticed blinkers blinking fast. Figure classic burnt bulb. But upon further inspection no tail lights when headlights on. Ooh and a driver side mirror with blinker that has a crack over the lower light which is side the marker/running light, the light does work. After I Google the issue and see that the MFS is a big culprit I replaced it and have same issue. What I do have working and when:
Brake lights work when headlights off - no key in ignition
Brake lights work when headlights on with blinker on - no key in ignition
Brake lights do not work with headlights on - koeo, koer
Blinkers (rear) when selected both blink
Ignition switch?
I found out last night that all 3 of my brake lights are out. However, my tail lights work, and my turn-signals work. So obviously its not a big wiring deal. I was looking for the brake switch but i don't know where its at because i looked underneath. What fuse is the brake lights cause my manual doesn't have it listed. I drive a 04 Elantra GLS.

I've read online that it might be the sender mounted on the rear differential of my 2005 Jeep Liberty.
