Toyota - Sienna :: Thumping Noise In Rear Passenger Side After Replacing All Pads And Rotors

Thumping noise in rear passenger side. I removed pads and rotors, inspected and found nothing wrong. I decided to replace the new rotor with same and the thumping is still there, but only with the brakes being used. Nothing felt in the brake pedel and the the van stops fine. So why the thumping noise?

Civic - Honda :: Retractable Side View Mirror Broken?

I have a 2009 Honda Civic with powered retractable side view mirrors. Unfortunately one of the mirrors is broken and is perpetually trying to retract (or unfold). Aside from the motor constantly running the mirror functions fine. I looked into replacing the mirror assembly with a new replacement part but noticed that none of the replacement parts feature a blinker on the front cover of the assembly, as the original does. I assume that the wiring is not present in the replacement part so swapping in the old cover would not be sufficient.

Is the scrap yard route for finding a replacement part my best option? Is there an easy way to disable the motor without disabling the other features (the blinker and power tilt adjustment)?

Phaeton :: Passenger Side View Mirror Memory Adjustment

How to set the passenger side view mirror memory adjustment? I am unclear on a couple of things:

1) With the transmission in any position other than reverse, adjust the passenger side mirror as you like it.

2) Put the car in reverse, and adjust the same mirror to show you what you want to look at when you have the transmission in reverse.

3) Now press the appropriate seat memory buttons, to store that configuration as your 'driver preference', and the car will remember both settings.

Does #3 mean that you turn off the car leaving it in reverse? Leave it running - in reverse? And then you press "Set" and then the seat number button - and then "Set" again?

Touareg :: Passenger Side View Mirror Does Not Automatically Tilt When Put Car In Reverse

Firstly, when i put my car in reverse, my passenger side view mirror does not automatically tilt. is there some sort of setting i must go to?

Secondly, I was wondering if it was possible to AUTOMATICALLY fold the side view mirror when i off the engine, or lock the doors, and for them to automatically unfold when i start the engine or unlock the doors! Instead of manually turning the knob.

I went into the Menu, and there was an option under "locks .... ---> mirrors", and i selected sync. Does that have anything to do with my question?

Thirdly, The rain sensing wipers. I have to activate this by pulling the lever up ONE STEP to the intermittent mode right. I tested the rain sensing wipers with a bottle of water! and the sensor is at the rear view mirror. The question is that when i off the engine and leave the rain wipers under Mode ONE (one step up the lever from off) the car doesn't automatically activate the wipers if it rains. I have to push it down to off! then back to INTERMITTENT MODE! Is this normal?

Camry :: Passenger Rear View Mirror Does Not Move Correctly And Won't Match With Buttons Pressed?

I just bought a used Japanese made Gen 5 Camry. The passenger rear view mirror does not move correctly. it will go left/right and sometimes down, and the movement does not match the buttons pressed. I've bought 2 replacement mirrors on Amazon and both do the same thing. I tried to swap l/r mirrors for testing. The driver side mirror works fine when plugged into passenger side, but all three passenger side mirrors do not work correctly when plugged into drivers side.

Should I try buying a mirror for a American made Camry? What is the difference?

I have a small single car garage, and all the vehicles that I have parked in here including an suv, I have never clipped my mirror. However, i recently did so with the Phaeton. Not sure what the proper name for the part is, but it is the clear plastic signal cover that has broken in half. the light still illuminates properly, but the cover is broken. What is the part that I need to order so that I can replace?

Lexus GX 2004-09 :: All Passenger Windows / Door Locks / Side View Mirror Controls Not Working?

Lately I've been having issues with my windows, door locks and power mirrors not working. Here are the symptoms;

What works;

Driver window Sunroof Key fob unlock/lock (Also all of the doors unlock when I open the door)

What does NOT work;

All passenger windows (they were working intermittently before but now none of them work) Door locks from any panel (Sometimes I can unlock the doors but can never lock them) Side view mirror controls

Seems like it could be a faulty ecu. Plan on removing the door this weekend to inspect everything.

Prius (2010-12) :: Shaky Driver Side Rear View Mirror

2010 Prius: During my first visit to dealership at 5000 mile service I told them to see what's wrong with my driver side rear view mirror why it is shaky. (It only shakes / vibrates left right NOT up down, and depending on the wind, road bumps have no affect) Obviously they could not duplicate it.

I called Toyota and Dealer wanted me to test-drive with a technician and show him the problem, which I did and technician agreed that there is a lot of wind induced shaking at the same time passenger side mirror is rock solid. They replaced the mirror with another mirror.

Now here is the problem, new one is also shaking. I am from SF Bay Area driving on 80, 780 and 680 near Fairfield (mostly windy)...

Toyota - Sienna :: 2002 - Rear Hatch And Passenger Door Lock Would Not Open With The Key

I have had that car, the best one I have ever owned, since shortly after Nine-One-One, a date some of you may remember.

I never open any door but the driver's door with the key. Several months ago, for some reason it occurred to me to try and see if they worked.

Nope, both the rear hatch and passenger's door lock would not open with the key. I assumed that the mechanism corroded up over lack of use over the years.

I thought, Well, crud. But, since I haven't used those door locks in over 12 years, I can probably get by.

I thought I had lost the spare car key when I was in Texas in December. To my surprise, I saw it on the key rack in the kitchen here in rural Mexico. I took it out to the car to check it out, and it opens all the doors.

I compared the keys, and one of the 'vanes' on the key I use all the time is a very tiny bit smaller than on the spare key. My guess is either that key never opened those two doors and I never noticed it. Or, it has worn over 12 years.

So, I guess when I get back to the States, I will have a copy made of the spare key. I am also going to post this on Sienna Chat for obvious reasons.

Toyota - Sienna :: 2004 - Heating System / Passenger Side Vent Is Very Cold

When I turn on the heat, I only get hot air through the drivers side vent,the passenger side vent is very cold. I had it in to be worked on (at a Non-Toyota shop)and they tore it completely apart and could not diagnose the problem. It affects the entire system,meaning the air going to defrost is also hot on the drivers side and cold on the passenger side.

Toyota - Sienna :: 2003 - Replacing CA Catalytic Converter

Chk engine light is on. Checked it at Advance Auto and indicated either cat or the O2 sensor (rear). So, I went to replace the O2 sensor and learned the hard way that you can't just unscrew the nut. I torqued off the stud to which the O2 sensor attaches. Muffler shop told me you need to heat up the stud/nut first to remove it. Oh well, lesson learned. So, I'm looking at replacing the pipe with the catalytic converter attached since I can't seem to fix the broken stud (or actually get the one I didn't break off). The problem is, my car is apparently a CA model and has the special cat on it. I live in VA. What sort of problems might I run into if I replaced the cat with a non-CA version? They are significantly less expensive. This is for a 2003 Toyota Siienna

Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Side View Mirror On Driver Side Fell Off

So I noticed a while back when I bought this car that my driver's side side-view mirror was a little loose. I didn't think anything of it back then b/c it still worked fine. Then just a couple of weeks ago the driver's side side-view mirror fell & hung by the wires connected to it. I can put it back to how's is supposed to be but it's really loose now. So I looked at the plastic pieces that hold this thing in place and I saw this:

If I put it back where it's supposed to be it stays up there but is very loose!
