Pregnancy Age 35+ :: Gave My Dog A Flea Bath Using Shampoo

Not thinking yesterday I gave my dog a flea bath using shampoo containing pyrethins .15% and piperonyl butoxide 1.5%. I'm nervous of the effect this may have on my pregnancy and brain development especially at this time. I'm reading these chemicals can cause autism. I washed my hands repeatedly after I realized this was a stupid thing to do. But I also had a small cut so I'm more worried about the chemicals absorbing in my skin and blood. Do you think I caused permanent damage? I'm a nervous wreck.

I gave her a bath today with regular shampoo and used a glove.  However I reached my hand into the rise water to pull the drain, would that be a second exposure if flea shampoo was in the water?  I washed my hands again repeatedly.

Skin :: Battling Body Lice

For the past 3 months, my boyfriend and I have been battling body lice.  I have never experienced something so awful and horrendous as this in my life.  We have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it...prescription meds...over the counter meds...industrial bombs....showers...showers...showers...laundering everyday...we have spent almost $1000.00! AND STILL NO RELIEF...ACTUALLY...IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE!  I am at my wits and everything else's....END! I can't live like this anymore...covered in bites from head to toe...trying to "hide" them and pretend there's nothing wrong.  I am contemplating "awful" things like gasoline...kerosine....anything that will KILL these things, because I am beginning to think they will live forever!

Blepharitis :: Clean And Stimulate Glands With Baby Shampoo And Tea Tree Oil?

In from my evening shift at work, and I have got to say that I spend the time before I had to go in, scrubbing my eye lash margins with a wet cotton ball and baby shampoo (the old standard) both top and bottom, then after rinsing it off, I proceeded to wipe the rest of my face with some full strength tea tree oil on a cotton ball, and let it sit for a while before I took a shower.  Scrubbing the margins (insides where the oil glands are) really was a bit uncomfortable (it didn't hurt though) and it did produce some of that lovely old whitish stuff, but I cannot believe how much better my eyes felt all night long (and they look better too) after doing this.  Now I am going to hit this full force and keep doing this every single morning and every single night and see what happens.  (I fell by the wayside on the Wet Ones, b/c they dried out my skin in the eye area too much, sadly).  But I did mention in a previous post that my skin under my eyes felt like it was "pulling" and it was VERY crinkled looking and pulling upward.  After doing this, it seemed to lessen that feeling (and it looks better too).  I am hoping and praying that with dedication and persistence in encouraging my m glands to produce oils again, this could be something to get excited about.  I sure hope so, but wanted to share. Has anyone else had success in doing this persistently?  What inspired me to really get to it was watching the video today on the BlephEx procedure.  I can't afford to get that done so I thought to myself, well I can certainly deeply clean and stimulate those glands on my own at home (especially after I saw all the gunk that the lady in the vid had come out of those areas).  I saw some of the same thing with my own eyes after doing this and it is giving me some hope so I thought I would share.

Blepharitis :: Wet Ones, Baby Shampoo, Antibiotics, Steam, Oils - Nothing Works

I am a 42 year old male that has been battling Blepharitis for over 7 years.  It started with severe insomnia and stress in my life.  I thought once I fixed my life and my insomnia my eyes would get better.  Well guess what? I was wrong. I have tried everything from Wet Ones, baby shampoo, antibiotics, steam, oils, every eye drop you can imagine even dandruff shampoo.  Nothing works, nothing.  I just want to rip my eyes out.  This pain is so bad that I would cut off a toe or finger if it would make the pain go away.  These doctors just look at it and say oh it looks really inflamed try some natural drops or baby shampoo.  That’s like telling a cancer patient to take some aspirin and see how it goes.  If they only knew the pain I was in each day they would find a cure for this.  I refuse to accept that I am going to live the rest of my life like this.  Every hour I am awake I am in constant pain. I have now keep ice cubes with me and rub them on my eyelids whenever I can. That is the only thing that sooths them.  Please God find a cure for this I can’t go on much longer with this constant pain.

Hepatitis C: Post Treatment :: Sofosbuvir+Daclatasvir Treatment Relapse

I'm looking for advice. My 60 year old father (who has had HCV for more than 10 years; previously treated with Interferon but bad side effects) finished his 12 week Sofosbuvir+Daclatasvir (considered same as Harvoni) treatment a month ago. Already first tests after 2 weeks showed virus was Undetected, but yesterday he received his most recent results and he has a relapse of the virus. He is genotype 1, fibroscan result 4 (close to final stage). He is based in Poland and I'm not sure if our doctors are fully informed of the new generation medications and HCV itself.

Is anyone able to give us any advice? We are pretty desperate and my dad is just so depressed as he thought he finally got rid of the virus (he got infected while on an operation in a public hospital) and now it is back...

Are there any specialists that you are aware of I could possibly get in contact with?

Molluscum Contagiosum Treatment :: Acid Treatment - Cryotherapy

A few weeks ago my bf noticed some bumps in his pubic area.  He went to the dermatologist and was diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum, which is thankfully not that big of a deal!  He got his treated with cryotherapy.  Around this time I noticed a few bumps and because of the area they were in, went to an OBGYN for treatment so my bf and I don't keep spreading it to each other.  The OB GYN agreed that they were also MC bumps and lightly scraped each one, then applied an acid treatment.  That was a few days ago and while the bumps are mostly gone, the skin surrounding each one is dark and almost looks like a scab in color.  Is this normal post acid treatment?

Pregnancy :: My Son's Head Is Sitting In Front Of My Cervix

At 38 weeks and 6 days I was checked yesterday for the first time. My doctor seemed so amazed at the fact that my son's head is all the way down but I wasn't too amazed at the horrible pain I had to endure for him to get to my cervix :( Basically my son's head is sitting in front of my cervix. I read stories on women having their cervix pulled to the front during labor and it sounds like it hurts worse than how I felt getting checked and childbirth put together.

Head Injuries :: Puking After Hit My Head Against A Concrete Wall

Last week.. I slipped and hit my head against a concrete wall. Just layer there for a few minutes, then when I got up I started puking. I didn't think much of it. Went to school and practice for two days and was getting really light headed and haven't done physical activity since.I have been dizzy and lightheaded and everything is kind of foggy. I don't have any swelling or bruising on my head and don't have any headaches. Not sure if I have a concussion or something worse? Starting to worry if I should go to urgent care now or just schedule an appointment?

Nervous System :: Head Pressure/dizziness/head Fog

I've been having those 3 symptoms for about 2 months now. I'm a 22yo male, 6 feet tall, 160 lbs.

The head pressure was the first to show up. It feels like if someone is pressing their palm against the top of my head, its very light and 80% its not bad or painful, its just -there-, but sometimes the pressure rises up and it can be quite overwhelming, making me having to stop whatever I'm doing.

Painkillers used to work, now they don't anymore, although I think it's because I started to use them way too much.

Since about 2 weeks ago, I started to have dizziness and head fog. It's like if I'm "typsy" all the time.

This all started a few months after I had to quit my job since I'm preparing myself to live in another country, I'm short on cash and I have arguments about various things related to that almost daily, making me think that this might be an anxiety issue.

3 days ago I had to go to the hospital because my BP spiked up (180/104), and since then the pressure/head fog became 10x worse. I keep catching myself hyperventilating throughout the day, having cold sweats and hot flashes.

Thoughts keep racing in my head that I have a brain tumor and how that would wreck my life even if its a benign one.

Something that makes me feel better is that I'm not having any seizures, nose bleeds or actual real bad headache, its just a weird pressure, which calms me down a bit at the possibility that its a tumor.

Also, sleeping is the only thing that makes the pressure/dizziness go away, although it gets bad again throughout the day. Today I've tried to oversleep a bit to see if it was a sleep deprivation issue and it made the pressure better but the dizziness way worse.

I've already scheduled a cardiologist/neurologist, but I can only go friday so I still have some days to worry myself to death over this.

No Treatment For Pleurisy At All?

I've felt so frustrated for many years. I too was told muscular/skeletal. While experiencing short breath, extremely tired, pain that shoots like a spear on left side from upper rib cage, center of left breast through to back.

In 2012 after hours of waiting, the blood clot I guess hit me hard, I was out, woke in room with heparin drip. Then told blood clot in upper lobe of lung and pleurisy.

After doctor visit Thursday my pain got so unbearable, and cough, husband drove me to ER this past Sunday. Again sat for hours. Then x-rays, and told had pleurisy. Sent home, told to take tylenol and bed rest.

My pain is off the chart now, I can't take NSAIDS since on coumadin.

I'm feeling very spacey, lightheaded.

I can't drive myself anywhere.

I need to work around husbands very long work hours.

And, if do go, what do they do, say, "more bed rest and stay hydrated"?

I don't have money to burn, for such non-sense.

Is there not any treatment for pleurisy at all?

STD :: Chlamydia - Sex During Treatment?

Just recently, me & my boyfriend were diagnosed with Chlamydia. I got treated one week before him...on a Tuesday & was told to wait 2 weeks before having sex again. I did. He got treated a week or so after me but we ended up having sex (with a condom) during the 2 week period he was taking his medication. Is it possible that he could still have the disease? Im afraid now because since then, we've had sex again (with a condom) but we also gave each other oral sex.
