Huge Blood Clots (periods) Diagnosed With Fibroids

Hi. I’m a 43 years old, diagnosed with three small fibroids over a year ago. I had very little clotting at the time and my gyno placed me on Rx and Anemagen to decrease my flow. It worked so well that I missed a period. That was alarming to me and I went back to my doctor who changed my Rx to Necon. Now, my periods returned but I am experiencing extremely huge blood clots! After I went back to the gyno he prescribed me Feogen but in this menstrual cycle, the clot was about 3-4 inches in length and about 3 inches wide and very thick! What is wrong with me? Is this normal? I’m really concerned! Is there anybody who can help me?

My daughter has the Nexplanon implant. She has been on her period for 3 months now. She also said that she is bleeding heavy and it is a dark almost black blood. She also is passing heavy clots. Is this normal?

I was hoping someone could help, every month I take my period I have massive blood clots some the size of a small orange, some months it knocks me right of my feet were the pain is that intense I can't walk with pain in my stomach and back..I have an awful smell, headache and feel very emotional, I have had children but this has only started from December..it's terrible I can literally do nothing for 2 weeks then only getting over it when it starts again, some months r worse than other does anyone experience this? If so what is it? My doctor puts it down to heavy periods.

My Boyfriend and I have had sex many times; But the last two times he has been bleeding really bad while we have had sex and after we are done he will go in the restroom to pee and when he dose he has large blood clots for a few days to two weeks. I am very scared and he refuses to go to the Dr.s unless he is kicking and screaming.

In this month of April I had a period that began on April 6th with semi heavy bleeding, and ended April 14th. April 29th I began a second period with heavy bleeding, and now I'm also having blood clots ranging from the size as small as a dime to as big a half dollar coin. What could be the cause of this abnormal menstrual bleeding?

In January I had polyps removed and an IUD put in. There haven't been any issues until now. Tuesday evening/early Weds morning (about 5 days ago on the 15th) I noticed some breakthrough bleeding. My period had just ended on the 6th. It continued on and I started to have some slight cramping so I called my doctor and got an appointment. He took a look and said my IUD seemed a little lower than usual (that was Thursday). I made an appointment for an ultrasound and thought everything was ok. My bleeding was getting heavier and heavier, but a regular tampon managed it. In the afternoon I was out and I stood up and apparently I had bled through my tampon and underwear and it was coming down my leg. I called my doctor and they said keep and eye on it and if it continued to be like that or if it was a pad an hour go to the hospital. But it seemed to slow down. Today, however, it seems I have been clotting even more. And I just felt what I thought was a really large gush of blood, I went to the restroom and it was a huge blood clot. About an inch or so long and it wasn't flat nor did it just fall apart when I grabbed it with a tissue. What should I do? Has anyone experienced something similar?

Is anyone else "out there" suffering with blood clots in/on your lungs and you served in VietNam during the years that they were spraying Agent Orange on the foliage? I served in VietNam during those years, have been diagnosed with COPD and am having a lot of trouble with blood clots in/on my lungs. My VA representative has told me if I can find other Veterans who are suffering as I am I might be able to help my loving and very patient wife after I leave this earth through VA survivor benefits. I am hoping a lot of people will answer quickly because I don't feel that I have much time left.

I have been bleeding now for past 4 weeks. The last week has seen me lose giant blood clots and I mean lots of them. In fact I've had to stay off work these last few days as I need to be near a loo. I feel a bit shaky but I put that down to the amount of blood I've lost. I'm really worried I'm going to need a hysterectomy. Has anyone else experienced this?

I use to have irregular periods, but they have become regular over time. I normally have light the first day or two then it becomes heavy and lasts a week. Last month my period was due April 26th, and I ended up getting it on April 30th, I woke up and my stomach was VERY tight, I had hardness under my belly button for a few weeks before period, it was VERY light at first, light pink, and in some mucus. The next day I did not have normal clots like I get which are darker red and heavy. I got these very small light pink clots that lasted a day, and only showed up when I wiped. I had normal clots show up in toilet twice and that is it. The next few days it got lighter, and it stopped on May 4th, I stopped wearing pads on the 3rd day it was so light. I never have periods that light and that short. My nipples are still sore, my stomach still hurts and is a little tight still, have horrible acid reflux, and gas. What could this be? My friend and boyfriend both think I am pregnant, but I don't think I am. I took a test over a week ago and it was a BFN.

I have had normal regular periods for almost ten years. Every month I will be on for around five days, bleeding normally with normal red blood. I have been on the pill on and off for about 4 years. Once I stop the pill for my seven day break, I usually come on two days after.
The past couple of months it has taken me about four days to come on and when I do I am not really bleeding, I am only really bleeding as I actually go to the toilet and when I do it is thick dark brown clots. I am not leaking normal blood if that makes sense?
Is this normal or should I have it checked out?

I'm a 23 yo female. I have been skipping my periods on levlen ED for about 2 years. Have had breakthrough bleeding (5 days) about i'd say 4 times, which definitely wasn't like this one... i had a breakthrough bleed recently a week before i had tummy cramps & felt rather nauseous then got my period that lasted 10 days it stopped i had intercourse with my partner it came back lightly went away & once again with my partner afterwards there was bright red blood with some small & 10 cent piece size clots... i have always had the occasional bleed after intercourse but not like this.. i do have hpv & have a med- large lump inside i was told to leave it & it should go away.

I am wondering if anyone else going through menopause has been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes that only began with the onset of menopause? I have never had an issue with BGL's until the start of menopause, now they are out of whack and Dr has diagnosed me with Type 2 diabetes. I don't agree with this diagnosis as my gut feeling is that it is all related to the menopause and hormone regulation through the liver. My question is if anyone has had this experience and did BGL's return to normal after menopause. I am not on any medication, trying the diet and exercise thing first (mostly because I am in denial about the whole thing)

I am nearly 53 and am anxiously waiting for the menopause. I have been diagnosed with fibroids. I started a period at the end of January and it carried on for 11 weeks with haemorrhages and huge clots. During this time I became anaemic and I have been unable to work since the middle of April. On 24th April I was fitted with a Mirena coil. I have had constant bleeding (though not as heavy as before) and abdominal discomfort ever since. The discomfort has kept me awake at night.
Last week the GP told me to take 3 norethisterone tablets a day to stop the bleeding. This worked at first and the bleeding stopped. I became very bloated though, and today the bleeding has started again. My whole life is dominated by this. I don't know what to do next. I can have a hysterectomy in October - but that's not something I relish!
Has anyone any words of encouragement?

Everything is clear in womb! There is half one left on outside of womb. I want to have children soon. My periods are heavy and very painful can't sleep! My iron is fine my thyroid is fine my eggs are fine!i feel weak tired and worried! Clotting! Watery big cramps! Will stop pain then start again later in day.

I'm 33 and have uterine fibroids for which I have been taking norethisterone to stop my heavy, prolonged periods. On the advice of my GP I took a break from the tablet, but she gave me a supply in case I desperately needed them. She told me not to take any more for a while as I wouldn't know if the mini-pill (which I was prescribed 2 months ago) was working to regulate my periods and shrink the fibroids. I have started my period now and it's been going on for over a week. I'm in pain, it's heavy and clotting and my moods are all over the place, I'm tired all of the time and I can't go out for too long for fear of flooding. It's affecting my work and my relationship as I feel unattractive and sad all of the time. When I was taking norethisterone I didn't get any of these problems.

It's been 10 weeks since my open myomectomy but I still dont have my period. Is it normal? Was told by my ob-gyn 4 weeks ago (last post op check up) that I should have my period within 2 weeks but until now...nothing. Should I go back for another check up or wait a little more?

I took two packages ( doctor gave me only 2) of esmya from april to june.
My bleeding completely stopped and even month after I still do not a period.
Did you have a similar situation? When can i expect it. My plan is to be operated in August ( hopefully laparoscopy treatment).
During taking the esmya i felt good. Unfortunately scan showed that fibroid size had not changed still 6 x 6.
Bad effect on me was a cyst ( i had cysts before )in my left breast which at some stage was huge but now after there is only a little mark
I still have a little hope esmya is working a bit, i heard it is possible...
I hope my decision about the treatment is a good one. I've been thinking about it for 2 years. I would like to have children in the future im 33.

I'm 12 and I've had clear stuff in my underwear for a while and yesterday it was brown and today I wiped after going pee and it was reddish pinkish blood I wiped again and it was gone I guess it's called spotting I just looked it my underwear and their is black clots on top of having breast soreness moodiness and crazy cramps

I am 47 years old and haven't had a period for at least 2 years. However, i starting bleeding bright red blood about 3 days ago, and this has been quite heavy as i am normally only very light.It isn't like period blood. This has happened before in this 2 year period and it was bright red then too. i've been on warfarin since last december due to a pulmonary embolism in my lung. Is it necessary to see a doctor, i don't want to feel like i'm making a fuss.

I am 31 and have been taking Warfarin (i.e. generic Coumadin) for three months for a Pulmonary Embolism I developed back in October. I have a Mirena and usually have very light and short periods. However, I've been on my period for about 8 or 9 days now. It's not heavy and I'm not in a lot of pain, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is normal or not since I'm taking blood thinners?
