Lichen Sclerosus :: Fusion Of Labia Minora And Majora

I am 33 years old and have just been diagnosed with LS. I also have been diagnosed with vitiligo. I really have no symptoms other than loss of color and a little bit of fusing of my minora to majora. The doctor prescribed me Clobetasol to use twice a day and then he said we will monitor it and eventually use it twice a week. Since I have not experienced pain with sex and my opening is good he told me to continue having sex. I have really read nothing but horror stories online. The doctor made it out like I will use this cream and it should control the LS. I know this a life long diagnosis and there is no cure. My question is...will my LS progress even with treatment? Plus, what is a flare up?

When I received my diagnosis a month or so ago, I spent a lot of time reading this forum and learned an overwhelming amount of information. One post that stood out was someone who had managed to somewhat reverse their fusion with a baking soda spray treatment. I can't find that post, or remember what thread it was posted on, and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. If there is anyone else who has managed to reverse their fusion.

When I was diagnosed last month I had fusing toward the back of my labia minora to my labia majora. When looking today the fusing is getting worse and I almost have no labia minora. I am very upset tonight. Will it ever unfuse or is it gone forever? Freaking out!!!!

We are raw, irritated, red, have tears, hurt, sore, itch, and have white patches. We also have fusion and disappearance of some of our parts. Just by looking you can see it all happening except the fusing and disappearing parts. It seems adhering occurs when you don't know..it just appears one day. Is it occurring when we itch or when we are raw and irritated? Do the white patches causes the adhering and covering over our parts? Does the fusing happen at the white patches or can it happen anywhere else on the vulva where we don't have redness, white patches or itching ? Then do we use it all over the vulva when we are free of flare-ups and using steroid once week? When we are free of a flare-up where to we use the cream? Do we use it where we had the irritation ? Do we use it where the scars are and the fusing is even though we are flare free? I read we use the steroid to prevent further scarring and fusion, but I'm still not sure if the fusion is the result of the other symptoms and when we do maintenance with the steroid where do we put it?

I have been diagnosed with lichen sclerosus in addition to vulvodynia. My main symptoms are clitoral fusion and narrowing of the vaginal opening. For some reason I haven't been able to find a steroid cream that I could use that doesn't cause me a horrible vulvodynia flare (feels like my entire pelvis goes into spasm) and was wondering if anyone had alternatives they use that have helped with this symptom.

I have suffered for 33 years with this disease. I am 76 yrs old. LS is an autoimmune disease and a health person told me for a true autoimmune
problem is that you had to have 3. I have arthritis, Ls and thyroid. Jus over a year ago I had to have the thyroid removed (cancer) . That is okay now. But listen to this, The unbearable constant burning itch has all but disappeared. There is still some very mild discomfort around the anus. The fusing was so complete that I lost the clitorus first and than the labia minora and the labia majora was starting to disappear. But with the regular use of coconut oil and spraying after bathroom use with water and baking soda I now have rather normal looking labia and normal colour. i was white, gray, purple and bumps. Only the clitorus has not been uncovered but sensation is still there. I am just very slightly white at the entrance to the vagina both front and back. I wish i had Known about these treatments years ago.

I am a teenage girl. I take pretty good care of myself and usually have no major issues. However, a few nights ago I noticed a small bump on my labia majora when I went to the bathroom. Besides minor soreness to the touch, I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, so I assumed it was just an ingrown hair or pimple and vowed to deal with it in the morning. When I woke up it had grown and was more painful.
It's been only 3 days since the initial sighting and it has multiplied in size. It's also become more painful. (I'll post symptoms below)
I've taken sitz baths, thinking it may just be an abscess or something, but it won't come to a head, and honestly it doesn't feel fluid-filled at all. (I had an abscess on my shoulder last month) The lump is now covering my clitoris, I have to move it out of the way to wipe properly (ouch).

Last week I noticed that a small bump was on my inner labia majora towards the top section, rather than the vaginal opening. Last morning the bump has turned into a slightly hard, but movable lump that hurts when touched. What's going on? Who should I see about this? Help please

I noticed a lump on my labia minora a few months back, at first i thought it may be a pimple or ingrown hair but i dont think thats it from the research i done. This lump is the size of a pea. it does not hurt and is not painful. I have been examining and watching this lump for any changes but have noticed none. its just a lump that causes no pain or discomfort.

The last few times i had sexual intercourse i have noticed a pea sized lump appears on my labia majora along with the normal swelling, then it disappears after about 10minutes. after the swelling goes down, there is no trace of the lump. is this something to worry about?

The other day I found a small lump on my labia majora (no larger than a pinky fingernail), and taking a closer look at it, it seems to be a spot or boil of some form, though there doesn't seem to be a head. It's red around the area, a little painful and it seems to have some pus like liquid just under the skin.
After having a hot soak this morning it appeared to have had a pin prick sized hole and yellowy fluid started seeping out. I'm unsure if I should continue squeezing it to get the pus out, or put some tissue on it and wait to see a doctor.

I'm 17 about to be 18 in a week and a couple of days ago I found a pea size lump on my labia minora. I wasn't sexual active until 2 months ago. My boyfriend has been checked for stds and he was clean. Its fairly hard, skin colored, and can hurt a little if its touch. I did try to pop it and a little pus came out. However it hurt so I stopped.

I have a pea like swelling on my right labia Minora, It's been there for past 4 days and is the same size and same color as the rest of the area. there is no head formation and is painless unless i touch it.the swelling is near the clitoris , i have been soaking it in warm water but no help. Recently I felt some irritation on my left inner labia, nothing major just some general irrigation. For the last 3 days I've been at my boyfriend's and we've been having intercourse about twice a day, there is now a clear hard bump a little smaller than a pea on my labia that isn't painful just uncomfortable, it is pretty red and is localized to this one spot. I am 25 years old, married and 3 months pregnant. In august of this past year I had a Pap smear that came out fine and normal. I then noticed these two small bumps on the inside part of my labia majora. They are not next to each other or in a cluster. When I pull the lab is outwards, it seems they are on the same row as little pores. The two bumps are flat, one is a little darker in color and the other is the color of my skin. They are both flat, do not hurt, soft to touch, but one sometimes gets "swollen" and resembles a skin tag. These have not spread anywhere, my husband does not have any, and two weeks ago I had another normal Pap smear. Is it possible these are HPV?

I'm 18 years old i shaved a few days ago & yesterday the hair was growing back causing an itch. i must have been scratching to hard because now i have little paper cuts on both of my lips & between them where the skin is suppose to be pink. it started to bleed so i grabbed a towel with warm water and rubbed it but i did it too hard and my lips swelled but the right lip is worse than the left. i thought it would help if i soak in a hot bath it didn't now today i have this whitish discharge no smell coming out of me the cuts burn like hell what should i do.

First I want to say that I am only 19 and I have been with the same person for 3 years and 8 months and I have never done anything sexual with anyone else and he has not either. I am pretty sure this isn't herpes from what I've read but I am concerned. Two days ago I became very itchy down there. I looked down and saw what looked like a big zit and with closer observation it looked like a canker sore with a white center. I also have a white to yellowish discharge. I just found a little black lump in my vagina (on the labia minora, near the clitoris area), and it's scaring me a lot! I'm a virgin so I guess it's not some STD. It's black, but when I shower it gets pale, like, grayish...It looks like a blood blister or a seed, and it's kinda hard. It doesn't itch or hurt, only when I touch it, it feels a little more tender to the touch. but I'm very scared! Hi! I am a 23 year old female. 3 days ago I felt irritation in my vaginal area. I looked at it and I have a swollen lump in the front area of my labia minora, like near my clitoris. It feels like it has fluid inside, and it is the same color as the skin around it. I'd say it is the size of a small marble. It is very annoying and I am getting concerned since it hasn't gone away yet. My period also started that day so I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it.

I used bikini line hair removal cream today which indicated that it was okay to use in the shower. I used it only on my upper pubic area and around the bikini line and was careful to remove the cream and then thoroughly rinsed my pubic area. I noticed afterwards the the inner part of my labia minora is very red. It isn't in pain and it doesn't itch but I'm worried that this might lead to an infection. Should I be worried about this?
