Jul 2, 2014

I would like to know why there is an opinion that if mirt works for you ,you are naive.for every person it doesn't work for there must be a person it works for.

Pregnancy :: Nausea - Ginger Gum Doesn't Work For Me

So I find that  these sea bands work. This is our fourth pregnancy and so far it's miserable.  I can't eat anything and I stay nauseated. My husband and I own a business and have several dinner date with clients.he says my sea bands are in formal. I agree people tends to ask questions about why I have bands on my arms. I am only 8 weeks and ginger gum doesn't work for me. The nauseating  feeling is horrible. Is there any other thing that works especially when I am on these formal events?

What If Occipital Nerve Stimulator Doesn't Work

If anyone else has had an Occipital Nerve Stimulator fitted and if it was a success. I had it fitted in March 2014 and had to have the wires adjusted as they were causing problems in my neck and not helping my migraines. I had about 5 week of some relief and my medication intake did reduce. However, in September of this year. I felt the machine stop working and had no sensation from it on one side of my head. Over the past week I am no longer able to bend my head over or reach my arms out without getting pain and a pulling sensation at the back of my neck. I have been sent for X-rays this week and am now waiting for the whole procedure carrying out again. I had high hope's on this operation helping. I understand it's not a cure, but I just need help with reducing the severity of my daily headaches/migraines. Has anyone else had equipment failure?

Mirtazapine :: Ultra High Doses Work?

Is there anybody who finds that ultra high doses of mirtazapine worked better for them? In the past I have taken mirtazapine in doses 30 mg and it had worked for a while but then I have changed my meds (bad for me). The second time I have taken mirt 45 mg without success It's the best drug I have ever taken, but it's not working anymore. I have taken many of the drugs, like SSRIs, bupropion and others, but none of them worked like mirtazapine in the past. How do you think, is there any possibility that ultra high doses like 60-90 mg would be work better for me?

Fibromyalgia And Effective Exercise That Doesn't Hurt

I was diagnosed a year ago. I had tiredness and pain long before and then one day it hit me exercising! I collapsed in a heap and realised I couldn't move. My body just gave up. Or my muscles did! I was very fit and healthy. Loved cardiovascular exercise. I did high impact everyday. Until that moment. That's when my life changed. I slept and slept last year away. As soon as I wake the heavy ache in my body is back.

I have tried all types of exercise since. Yoga, swimming, walking....desperate to lose the stone and a half that just piled on. Anything I try just puts me in to a flare up. I've had to go on to a very low calorie diet which has cut out bread and sugar to control weight gain that way. I know weight gain isn't the be all and end all and im thankful I have my life. It's just that I feel so hopeless my body is constantly attacking me.

Does anyone else have this constant battle with exercise and if you've mastered the control with exercise, please please tell me. Or any solution? I just want a bit of the old me back. I miss not being able to help myself. Positive thinking only gets me so far.

Mirtazapine :: Weight Gain On Mirtazapine 30mg

I have just started on the 30m Mirtazapine and it's my 3rd night taking them ans i have read up on a lot of different forums that there are patients gaining weight off these? well i would like to know what the odds are of gaining weight because i have always had problems with weight gain, i can never put on any weight, no matter how much i eat, i have a fast metabolism and i am wondering, will the mirtazapine surpass my high metabolism. also in some cases i've heard it slows your metabolism down too..   but it would actually be a benefit for me to gain some extra weight.

Mirtazapine :: Tapering Off Mirtazapine - Spinning Myself In Circles

For the first time in a very long time, I'm finally in a good enough place to make the step in coming off my Anti-depressant. I've been on Mirtazapine 45mg for the last 4/5 years and before that a string of various of medications.

Despite my anxiety been kind of excessive at the moment, after a discussion with my GP, he was happy to let me begin tapering down the dose. The problem is with my anxiety I feel it mainly physically rather than mentally so it makes me a little oversensitive to any changes that take place in my body.

I guess what I am searching for is some reassurance so I can stop driving myself up the wall, exhausting google search on mirtazapine withdrawal. 6 nights ago I started my first reduction so 45 mg to 30mg. In all honesty it's not been that bad, a few waves of nausea, headaches and random aches and pains. Those I was expecting so don't mind too much. The trouble is that for the last 3 days, I've found myself a little short of breath for most of the day. It's nothing that's outwardly noticeable at the moment, but it's there and is slightly concerning. Has anyone else experienced this when tapering?

I'm kind of freaked out a little because one of my fears that's arisen since the mirtazapine is the that i will develop random allergies and my brain is wondering if I've suddenly developed an allergy to my meds (ridiculous, I know!) The other thing is that the rest of my family has had either viral chest problems lately so maybe I've just picked up that and it's a coincidence? Or it could just be the anxiety.

I'm totally spinning myself in circles at the moment so any wise words are most welcome at this point. If I know it is just withdrawal and nothing that can actually hurt me then I'm fine with whatever effects it throws at me.

Am I Pregnant? :: Real Blood Coming Out Doesn't Look Like Spotting

I ended my period about 12 days ago. Two days after that I had sex. (Not my first time) Afterwards I was a little sore down there. Lasted for a few hours. Then about 3 days later I noticed some light spotting. No pain. No other symptoms just a dark brown color / dark red. This lasted for about 7 days and now the spotting seems like it's getting heavier. Like it's real blood coming out and it doesn't look like spotting to me. What could this be? Could I be pregnant? Infection? Stress? Or what!? Please help im a 17 year old girl who has never had irregular periods before...

Penis :: Foreskin Retraction - Doesn't Retract Fully

I'm 19 years old and my foreskin won't retract on its own, both while flaccid or erect. I never knew it was supposed to. I have had sex before, both with and without a condom, and a few times during sex the foreskin was forced down below the glans. However, it was very painful each time and I thought it wasn't supposed to do that and so I moved it back up. For me it is much more comfortable to have it covering the glans. I've never had any infections or problems with my penis or foreskin either and sex was always ok. I'm still worried about this though, especially after reading that it was supposed to retract, is this a problem I need to consider and have fixed or is it okay that my foreskin doesn't retract fully?

Penis :: Foreskin Doesn't Retract Fully On Erection

Basically, my foreskin doesn't retract fully when I am erect. Two reasons for this, my foreskin is very tight and the head of my penis under my foreskin is very sensitive. Is there any conventional method of remedying this problem without going to the doctor? And that won't take so long. I can masterbate fine, when i masterbate i don't go anywhere near the head of my penis, i just work up and down the shaft. That's fine and all but I am worried about the problems i am going to face when I have sex.

Mirtazapine To Citalopram To Mirtazapine

I was initially on(30mg) for 8 weeks for depression and anxiety. And I did start to feel better, although the blurry vision and the derealisation side effects started to make me anxious again. I think the light head was the anxiety not the tablets.

Went back to work and made an appointment with the Doctor to see if there was another antidepressant with no side effects as I didn't think the Mirt was working.

He told me how to gradually come off the Mirtazapine and then to start Those days coming off the Mirtazapine were fine and the 3 days I took nothing I felt great again! Well what an awful reaction I had to the Citalopram ! Heart thumping, sickness, mind racing, pins and needles, total insomnia for 3 days and the anxiety attacks were awful! I actually phoned NHS Direct.

When I spoke to the Doctor , he said that I had a reaction and the tablets obviously didn't agree. In a knowing smile, he said that I should perhaps go back on the Mirt and that I came off them too quickly.

I am now on no medication , but can feel the awful anxiety still there from the Citalopram episode and am wondering if I will slip back to square one again if I don't take anything. The Doctor has given me a prescription for 15mg 1 week and thereafter 30mg. Perhaps the side effects weren't that bad and as the nurse said " only got bothersome because I was feeling better".

So I'm thinking that I will go back to the Mirtazapine and perhaps they aren't that bad!

Pregnancy :: Conception Date Doesn't Match Due Date

I am pregnant about to be in my 7th month. I have been confused for some time however, about my due date not adding up to my conception date.
I wasn't having intercourse for months and one night with a friend I had protected and unfinished sex may 11th. Unexpected and unsatisfying. I then had unprotected sex the next weekend on the 17th with another man that I have been seeing on and off for years now that was finished and satisfying and he did ejaculate inside of me. I found out 2 weeks later that I was pregnant. I told both men but I was more than sure that the second man was the father considering unprotected vs protected. However I still knew it was a very slim possibility. Looking back at my cycle at the time I also believed I was ovulating the weekend of the 17th. But I could not give a good estimation of my last period. I just know it was in the beginning of the month.
My first ultrasound in the room the tech told me how far along I was (11 weeks) which added up perfectly from who I absolutely was sure it was the 17th. However the doctor I saw after the ultrasound I assume went off of growth of the baby or off of a possible inaccurate LMP estimate. But they told me I was 12 weeks which was a week ahead which would add up to the first guy on the 11th. Then proceeded to tell me my due date was on the 1st of February. But according to my thought of conception date (17th of may), my estimated due date should fall around the 7th-10th depending on my cycle which I can't remember exactly for the life of me.

I would really appreciate any kind of help at this point. And if the best answer is to get a paternity test. That can be done. Thanks again for your time.
