Women Urinary Issues :: Dipstick Hematuria But Urine Test Normal

I am a 17 year old female.
For about four months now I have been experiencing problems with fully emptying my bladder and had trouble with leakage, even wetting myself completely once.
I went to my GP who tested my urine with a dipstick and found traces of blood. My GP also sent off a urine sample to the lab but this has come back negative for blood which confused me.
I have been referred to a urologist and have been booked for a kidney and bladder ultrasound in a couple of weeks.

About a month ago, a random health check at work detected a slight trace of blood in my urine sample, by a dipstick. I went to my doctors a week later to check again and he found it. He ordered 5 different blood tests, sent my urine of to be checked and ordered an ultrasound. He said that if all was fine, then not to worry and its one of those things. All came back fine, even my urine was negative for blood which i did not understand. The doctor said that dipsticks are over sensitive and that the lab found nothing of any relevence. When i went back to a different doctor for scan resuts, which were clear, they did another dipstick which again showed traces of blood. Anyway, now i have been referred to a urologist and I don't know why. I am so worried that it might be cancer. But according the lab, i dont have microhematuria? I have no other symptoms at all.

When i go pee i find everything is fine, i pull foreskin back to avoid urine getting trapped behind it as i have a long foreskin. Finish off and shake well just to make sure all the pee is out. but about 10 - 15 mins later i dribble a small amount of urine without realising, not enough to empty bladder just a small dribble, but it can be seen on underwear and very occasionally on clothing as a tiny patch. Also as i have a long foreskin it traps urine under it when i do this dribbling causing stale urine by the time i get home from work or being out and about. which as u can imagine is not nice and can smell a bit and cause soreness.

On a doctor's visit back in December, it was discovered that i had microscopic blood in my urine. This went on for a few months, and increased with every doctor's check up. A urologist did an ultrasound of the kidney/bladder back in February, and all was normal. He also did cystoscopy which was normal too. He also did a test which shows my bladder holds sufficient amount of urine. The problem is, we never really figured out what the cause was, and recently i have had a new symptom (mucus tissue looking things in my urine). I am considering going back to a different urologist, but has anyone experienced something similar, or know what tissue looking bits in urine is?

For the last five months I have been experiencing blood and protein in my urine. After a very thorough assessment from a urologist everything came back normal. I was referred to see a nephrologist to see if the blood is coming from my kidneys. my kidney panel came back normal except for lower than normal creatinine levels???? but my urinalysis came back all wrong. It's showing 3+ for blood, 100 mg for protein, 1+ bilirubin, urine color is brown, ph of 5.5.
The dr also order a ANA test to check for lupus, but it came back negative. I'm completely lost, can a person have kidney disease w/normal kidney function?or lupus nephritis w/negative ANA test?

I'm a 26 yr old male, I've been peeing cloudy for months now, not every time I pee, usually just once a day, and the rest seem normal. Lately it seems like it's more cloudy than before. Also at night i have to get up alot to pee, but its usually just a few drops each time. Just recently two things happened, on two different occasions. First, I was peeing and it seemed to be normal color, but at the last end it turned white/cloudy and right at the last drop or two it looked like white flaky particles in it. Since then I've been noticing the particles more often. Second thing, almost two weeks after noticing the particles I was peeing one night and it seemed to burn quite bad at the last few drops, and when I was done it didn't feel like a finished, felt like I still had more. I went to outpatients the other night, did a urine sample and the test come back negative for UTI, so they sent it to a lab, next morning they did blood work and another urine sample. Waiting for the results now. Dr thinks it could be a prostate infection (prostatitis) caused from chlamydia so he put me on Ciprofloxacin. I dont think its from chlamydia because the two girls I've had unprotected sex with both been tested recently and come back clean. He also said its possible it could be stones.

Im 29 year old female, i've always thought my painful bladder and urination was from chronic bladder infections for years until my doctor recently sent me to a specialist and sent off for urine culture and came back negative. .have all the symptoms of a bladder infection. Have large amount of blood (4+) ..Urologist sent my for a ct ivp to look for stones or look for something abnormal with ureters or kidney, nothing ..everything came back normal..now the urologist ordered a test to look at the bladder with scope through my urethra and also take a biopsy of bladder wall to look for cancer cells..owww. Any answers on what this can be I have all the symptoms of bladder cancer but im young and no family history of bladder cancer im a non smoker /alcohol drinker.

I am 44. Sometimes at night when I wake up I have a very weak urine flow. It seems I cannot urinate right away and I have to walk around a bit to get it going. Does anyone else struggle with this and why am I doing this? I am healthy otherwise and this only happens at NIGHT never during the day.

I am French. I’m 28, it’s being 2 years and a half that I have blood in the urine with horrible pain.
I had 3 ureteroscopies who have given nothing and now the professor who follows me told me I have the loin pain hematuria syndrome, and there was nothing to do. The only thing I can do is to wait till it’s going better. He refuses to make a biopsy and told me to take aspirin.
I wanted to know if you know doctors who offer other drugs. I've heard of self transplantation and kidney innervation;
I've been in different hospitals and doctors tell me that the pain is bearable and advised me to consult a shrink. I do not think my pain is psychic. I wanted to know if U.S. medical research is more advanced than the French one.

I've recently got back from the doctors i've had ongoing kidney infections with blood in my urine. i first suffered with this in march and was given 3 lots of antibiotics to try and get rid of the infection as each course they gave me didn't work the doctor was quite concerned as i was told there was alot of blood in my urine and was given stronger antibiotics but since then i suffer from every couple of days of a really bad stinging sensation which really hurts when i passing urine there seems to be a big amount of pressure also when i'm passing urine like there's something heavy there i've been given antibiotics a few weeks ago for this and its recently came back so went back to the doctors and was told there was blood in my urine once again and protein i was examined to see if i had any sort of discharge or sign of an infection in my clitrous and vulva but she was told it looks fine and no inflammation there but she's referred me to the hospital for a scan on my bladder and kidneys and as referred me to a specialist to look deeper into this and had blood taken for my liver my kidneys and my blood count could anyone help me by telling me what they think is wrong or what u think they looking for.. thankyou

I've noticed in the last couple of months every now and then I have urinary incontinence. It's not a massive amount but it's more just embarrassing because I don't realise it has happened. I'm 25. Any ideas on what could cause this?

Three times this year I've had pain when and after urinating and each time the doctor prescribed me antibiotics for a urine infection.The first two times it cleared up, but the third time she gave me different antibiotics and although it cleared up at first, within a week the symptoms were back. I went back and saw a different doctor who told me that the previous urine samples taken had shown no infection.
Recently I feel a little sore down below most of the time, but it becomes a lot worse when I go to the toilet, particularly at the end. And I usually get a few hours in the day when it is really really sore and occasionally a little itchy.

Okay so First off I'm 16 and I used to only have to go pee 1-3 times a day and I haven't had to wake up in the night to go for years. But suddenly the past 2 months I've had to go much more frequently, every hour or two. I wake up almost every night having to go, sometimes even up to 3 times. I still drink the same amount as before and have the same if not healthier diet, and I'm a very active person. I'm out of state at the moment so I can't see my doctor but any ideas or anyone been through the same thing?

went for std checks .I'm married but work away from home and I have been doubtful even though my relationship with my husband is fine . I guess I can't trust men especially that I spend long times away for work . pcr blood test for hsv1 and hsv2 were negative . but the urine test was positive for hsv 2 . is pcr more accurate or the urine in this case ? I have no symptoms . i recall having one spot years ago that was tiny and went away in few days . do I have hsv2 bases on these findings ?

Has anyone ever had normal lab values but over 500 protein in their urine? And Bilirubin was only slightly elevated. Normal creatinine levels no diabetes or high blood pressure, have had severe weight loss appetite loss and night sweats which is what I went in for (thought thyroid but was not!) Was referred to nephrologist, not sure what to expect.

Does anyone else have problems with frequent loo trips? And abdominal pain and discomfort? I do day and night. My GP doesn't really know what to do surprise surprise. I've pushed for and had lower and upper abdominal ultrasounds as well as gynae ultrasounds and an abdominal/liver MRI. Ans also gastroscopy. I'm just wondering if it could be at all head related. I've seen a live doc and they don't think it's liver related though turns out I do have gastritis. I don't know what else to do. Pain doc (for head) incidentally referring me to anish bhara at queen's square. Also have back pain problems with my SI joint which may be related to abdominal pain or some of it anyway. Also seeing CFS clinic for first time on 28th and am a longterm chronic migraineur. Sorry for long post just getting desperate and trying to think round things.

Hi, for the past 2 weeks I have been getting these symptoms, dizziness, nausea, lightheaded, weak, headaches, neck pains, and tired. It is getting severe and im worried. I have had urines tests and blood test, they are all negative. Its constant and all day, it never goes away although some hours are worse then others. I have been on a medication called pristiq which is an antidepressant for almost 2 years, I tried increasing the dose in case that was causing it but it didn't work, can anyone help me please? I am a 22 yr old male weighing about 165. I have recently been told I have an enlarged spleen. We have done chest x-ray, two blood tests, an abdomen CT along with a chest CT. Everything is normal, other than the spleen. It has been over a month of testing with no answers. They are now referring me to an oncologist, but why? Wouldn't my other tests show something significant? The pain is worse when I eat, but it is mostly a constant sharp pain that radiates to my chest. Now I am feeling leg pain as well.

Is it possible you can have normal liver function tests and a complete blood profile and everything comes back normal but still have liver problems?
