I'm currently our of town, and will be so for several months. With that said, my wife told me today that when she pushes the lever forward for the high beams that nothing happens, but when she pulls it to the rear (as if she were only flashing the high beams) they work fine.
I figured I could either order parts while i'm away or start doing a lot of homework to find possible issues/fixes.
I have a '12, F150. Is there a fix to keep the fog lights on while on high beam?
View 6 RepliesI have a 2010 f150 super crew, last night when leaving my baseball game I was shocked to find my running lights and my regular beam lights don't work. My high beams work fine but nothing else. I'm pretty sure the lights are an after market light, but I'm not positive since I purchased it used. I looked in manual to check for a fuse issue but I don't see anything regarding the headlights.
View 1 RepliesSo yesterday When I unlocked via remote my drivers side mirror moved all the way to the right and started clicking. Like it was stripping the gears sound. Getting back in the truck the mirror moved fully every direction with switch on door. But the next time same thing, moved to the right and counted 3 clicks ! Happened 3 times yesterday.
I have a 68,000 miles on my 2009 s-crew lariat with most of the toys. Including memory seats. Some research pointed to drivers seat control module OR an orange with green stripe wire that may be broken at a splice off of the fuse box at location 3. However the wire thing I found was on a previous generation f150 and expedition, so I don't know if it applies.
I also noticed that when I went to program the mirror back to my setting by holding down the memory 1 button, it only beeped once. If memory serves me correct I thought when you hold desired memory button down for @5-10 seconds it should beep twice to set everything to that remote. So that's as far as I went.
I have a 2009 Camry and both brake lights don't illuminate when I press the brake pedal but during night time driving, the red tailights are on indicating the bulbs aren't burnt. The third brake light on the top behind the rear seats does illuminate. By the way my tailights aren't the fancy LED ones just the normal stock bulbs. So what's the problem here? Is it a electrical issue?
View 2 RepliesI was leaving a parking lot that has an uphill slope leading to a busy road and was going to turn right. There was a car in front of me that was waiting to turn right also. I had trans in D and left the foot on the brake. Car in front moved forward so I pressed the gas pedal and let off the brake. Instead of moving forward I started to roll back as if the car was in neutral.
This freaked me out as there was a car behind me. I braked again and gave the car more gas than before and let off brake again. This time the car jumped forward and I had to brake to avoid the car in front. When the car in front was gone it happened again as I was trying to turn onto main road. It was as if I was driving an MT and was not very good at using the clutch.
I owed an MK 5 GTI for 4 years and never any problems. Apart from this one time, the DSG has been working perfectly.
Both front seat heaters are not working on my 2009 Avalon XLS. The center console lights do not illuminate. I presume it's not the fuse because according to the owners manual the 7.5A fuse also controls dash light, power outlet and flashers and they all work. Could it be another fuse, or something else? I can use a voltmeter

View 7 Replies2010 F150 for the past 15,000 miles I have been experiencing a nasty repetitive surge when moving slowly forward with the brakes on, as you would do going through a drive through. The truck shakes when this happens and is very noticeable. Ford reprogrammed the transmission module, and now the surge happens twice as fast. What was the remedy? This is my first Ford after only GM products for the past 30 years.......and I hope they can find a resolution soon.

I put a shift kit in the c6 and it was beautiful condition inside cant figure out why it would only shift to two places.
View 2 Replies09 stx 2wd 4.6L- I have a 2.5'' leveling kit and 33'' bfg a/t tires. The problem is when I make sharp turns, or turn and go over small bumps. Whats happening is something seems to catching or rubbing it kind of jerks towards the opposite of where I am turning and causes the traction control to slow my truck (sucks on tight off-ramps/ u-turns). this happens at pretty much any speed although it gets worse as speed increases. At first I thought it was the steering stoppers but don't have any wear on them, tires do not rub anywhere. My dealer and a local off road shop cant figure it out...

Looking for a pic of your interior roof lighting? (Not the center console one near the sunroof control...that of course lights up and shows icons.) I'm looking for the ones towards the rear of the car.
I'm trying to troubleshoot an odd issue.
When the lever is in low beam mode I have no headlights or fog lights. (parking lights fine.)
When the lever is forward in high beam mode I have no headlights or fog lights. (parking lights fine.)
But if I hold the lever back in "fash the high beam" mode the high beams turn on. This got me home last night, but I don't know where to start looking for the issue?
Faulty relay? Faulty switch? Something else?

I have a 1995 ranger four letre 5sp, dubbed Beula. I figured there'd be a few gremlins and there was and is, which I know to be more common than not in older trucks. The top priority is figuring out why when I push the lever for the high beams forward, the headlights cut out completely, whether in gear or not, and I don't know where to begin troubleshooting. I've surfed around the forums looking for answers and really only found conjecture.
View 14 RepliesI picked up a 2014 F350 CC a couple months ago and have finally driven it in the evening. I went to turn on the first row map lamps and the light did not illuminate. I could turn it on with all of the interior lights, but not just a single map lamp. It also works when the door is opened or the RKE unlocks the truck.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2000 E150 (Glavel Conversion) van and the interior lights do not illuminate when the doors are opened, although they used to. They also no longer turn on from the headlight dimmer switch. They will turn on individually if the manual switch at each light is pressed while the engine is running, so the bulbs and wiring appear to be working. I replaced the headlight switch with no noticeable effect. Is there a timing circuit that switches these on for a short period of time to allow illuminated entry that could have failed? If so, where would I find the module and how would I test? Relays and fuses look good.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2004 F-350 V8. The bed has been removed and it has a small dump body. This is the problem that just randomly started with my lights:
The headlights, dome lights, and tail light illuminate - the rear lights do not illuminate when the headlight switch is on. Otherwise, the brake lights work, the reverse lights work, the four ways work, and the turn signals work.
I checked the ground and believe it to be okay - What am I missing and where do I start?
Having issues with the trailer plug on my f150 seems like bad connection because when pulling a flatdeck last week ,only the driver side tail light would work every now and then ,( might've been the trailer too though) so i put on a new plug but still no luck tested it with one of them plug testers with LED lights,but doesn't seem like there's power at all. Even though when testing it with a volt meter i got anywhere between 20 and 28 volts just can't figure out what's wrong with this plug..
