2014 f150 4wd. Jacked front tires off the ground today, right tire rotated easily by hand, left tire VERY difficult to rotate at all. Removed brake caliper and pads, but still difficult to rotate. Started truck up, right tire seemed even easier to rotate, but no change in left tire...
View 4 RepliesI'm getting a scraping sound on hard left turns. I've only noticed it on a steep hill where I work going under five mph and making a sharp left turn. I got out today and it doesn't look like the tire is hitting anything. The shield in front of the tire is slightly looser than the right side, but can't see it making the noise unless something is hitting it. I've read some previous posts that indicated traction control possibly coming on. I have about 4,000 miles, 20 inch tires, and everything stock.

View 2 RepliesMy keyless entry didn't work this morning on the way to work....the parking lights came on and stayed on awhile but no dice on unlocking. I figured no biggie and tried to unlock the door with the key...the door lock won't rotate. I went in the house and tried keyless again with the spare keyfob....still nothing. I didn't have time to keep messing around so I just drove my car today. It's a 2012 F150 w/ a little under 6K miles.
View 7 Replies2010 F-150 King Ranch. Randomly when turning left, it feels like the left front brake is engaging and it sounds like your anti-lock brakes when you come to a stop on slush or snow. The truck slows with your foot still on the gas, Saturday it came to a complete stop before it released.
I have had it to 2 Ford dealerships, the first could not get the symptom to occur on a test drive and told me there was nothing they could do because they did not now what to look at.
The dealer I bought it from got it to act up, replaced the IWE 2 weeks ago and 3 days later was still doing same thing. My wife dropped the truck at the dealer again Weds.morning, she told them it did it on the way there. I called at 4:30 to check and they said they drove it 2 times and it did not act up.
My manual hubs on my 2006 f250 have become very hard to rotate so I would like to replace them. I saw that bronco graveyard has Warn hubs for a Dana 60 front axle. Is this what I need? My door sticker with the axle code is illegible, and I want to make sure I get the right hubs.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2014 Patriot. I swapped my all-season tires for my snow tires and discovered the front tires (both) are wearing badly on the inner half. The right tire has worn way more than the left, and it is bald on that edge. I had an alignment done in May 2015 at 25,000 km after I had put on my all-season tires (that was done in April). Since then, I forgot to get a rotation done (and perhaps they would have seen the issue sooner). I brought the car in today to get looked at (Dec 17) but they found nothing wrong. They even did an alignment check and everything is within specs. What's wrong with it. I'm afraid my snow tires are going to wear the same way. The service manager tried to tell me that my tires were wearing on the inner edge of the tire naturally due to turning my steering wheel.
View 16 RepliesIts a rotational squeak, that sounds like its under the cab or possibly left front tire. The truck only has around 25k miles on it. I recently had a 2" leveling kit installed, 35" tires, and rear airbags installed (within 5k miles). I checked the universals and they seem to ok and there is no noticeable clunk. I am hoping its something small.
View 7 RepliesAt what point does it go off? Mine went off tonight, after about 15 miles on the road, the ambient temp is 60 degrees cooler than when the tires last got air (it was 40 degrees on the drive home).
None of the tires look low. If it had been on at the start, I could understand due to the cooler air, but it was after a few miles and the tires had warmed up some I am sure. (Two miles later when I stopped at my house, the tires felt warm to the touch, at least, noticeably warmer than ambient air.
I was just driving home and noticed and sort of slapping sound from my rear left tire - I pulled over at a gas station to take a look at it and found no issues with the tire itself (bubbles/flat spots) or any irregular wear, my next best guess is that the wheel bearing has gone bad, is there a way i can test this for the rear wheels without putting it on a lift?
View 13 RepliesI recently went up in size on my tires after installing a Leveling kit. Today for the first time since I had to take a long trip and was checking my speed against what the GPS was stating.. there is about a 8mph difference.
So if the truck says 65, the GPS was saying 73/74, and the faster I went the bigger the difference got.. so if the truck said 70, I was going closer to 79/80
I know that there needs to be some adjustments made so it read correctly again, just wondering if there is also some adjustments that can be made to get the RPM's down at cruising speeds also..
In the past when I would do around 70 or 75, the RPM's would be around 1500 to 1700, now im staying steady at 2000.
What am I looking at to get back to somewhat normal again?
I recently replaced my pads and rotors. The driver side was no problem, but on the passenger side, when I was finished, the caliper was rubbing up against the rim of the tire. I took both tires off to compare the differences, I noticed that my passenger side caliper is not going down as deep on the pads as the driver side. The caliper on the passenger side depressed with no problems and had no problems fitting over the pads. Whats really confusing is that all of my bolt holes line up.

View 3 RepliesVehicle has a vibration most prevalent when cold during a left turn especially first thing in the morning. Feels kinda like 4x4 is on, but its not.
Tech test-drove it and tells me it needs "clutch packs".
Has changing clutch packs to address this issue, and did it correct problem?
If I let him change them, am I in danger of screwing anything else up in the process?
& what the fuxa clutch pack anyway?
I own a 2011 lariat with 500 miles. We have had several days of rain and I am getting alot of rust spots on my driveway always below and inside the right front tire. None in the rear or left front. Dealer said not to worry about it after they looke at the area. They said it is the new metal forming surface rust. There is a skid plate which seems to cover wherever the rust is starting. Should I demand that area be undercoated.

View 14 RepliesI would get "Tire Pressure Sensor Fault" on my display all the time. The problem occurred mostly on long trips, however, it would occur from time to time on shorter trips. I complained to the dealer about this every time I went in for an oil change. They could never find a problem and wanted me to bring it in when the fault was occurring. Of course these thing never happen when you're by a dealer. To my dealers credit they said they would fix the problem out of warranty if we can find it.
Well I found the problem. As strange as it sounds if I use the cigarette lighter with a power USB adapter to charge my phone or iPad I get the fault. If I use the 12V accessory port on the dash no fault.
Last weekend we drove to Nisswa MN & back (about 1,200 miles). To test the theory I only used the 12V accessory port and no fault occurred. Normally the fault would occur w/in 50 miles then just continue on being annoying the whole rest of the trip. I wish I would have found this out 57,000 miles ago. I use the adapter because the USB port on the dash will only charge my iPhone if the phone is off.
I recently bought a 09 F150 Screw short box. I just hooked it up to my camper for the first time and was measuring height on the corners of the truck to check my WD hitch. I noticed that the driver's side was higher than the passenger's side in the back of my truck. I checked again without the camper on some level ground and found the same thing - approximately 1 1/4" difference at the wheel wells and about 3/4" at the frame. I can't believe that this would be normal, so trying to figure out what happened here - maybe it got rear-ended?
View 6 RepliesOne of the caliper does not fully retract when I don't push the brake, the wheel is hard to rotate when the car is on the lift.
I pretty sure it is the square ring the problem.
I know that those square ring worth only a couple of bucks.
I have a 2010 f150 supercrew 4x4 with 8.8 3:55 nls rear differential. my driver side tire has a wobble to it it is wearing the inside of the tire. i have replaced the driver axle shaft with new ford oem shaft put in new axle bearings and seals on both sides and have replaced the spyder gears and i still have the wobble I don't know what is going on. the wobble is more pronounced when the tire and rim are bolted to the shaft only without the drum and caliper attached. with caliper and rotor attached i still have the wobble just not as bad however the tire wobbles going down the road more noticeable between 20-45 mph.
