I have a 2011 f250 with the 6.7l diesel. Overall it's been fabulous. Descent mileage, and never ending power. The service engine soon light came on the other day. I have checked the fuel and dropped some additive in the tank. Have also checked the air filter which is good. There is a hesitation when giving it throttle. Then it shoots like a rocket.

View 8 RepliesI have a 1999 Ford V-10 Triton 6.8L engine with 100,000 miles in my Motorhome. Service engine soon light has been a problem for the past couple months. I have replaced the O2 sensor on the passenger side and the EGR valve. After that I drove for about 300+ miles continuously and stopped to get gas. Light stayed off and I thought I had it fixed but after starting up again the light came back on. The codes are P0171 and 0174.
I had the air filter replaced before changing the sensor and valve and mechanic left the Mass air flow sensor out of the socket I had a sluggish engine and at the time I thought I sucked water into the filter, I was driving in a pouring rain, this sensor plugs into the air intake above the filter correct?) I plugged that back in. What is my next move because I reset the service engine soon light and it runs great then the light comes back on after I shutdown and restart.
2001 f350 7.3 diesel and I come up with the codes for upper and lower dual generator fault. I have only one alternator not the dual.. I checked the gauge and it is running at 14 consistently. But the service engine soon light keeps coming on...I clear them and they come right back... Alternator is only 2 years old and not a rmf..

Unfortunately the service engine light keeps popping on and putting out the code P0401, I have replaced the EGR, cleaned the inside, and cleared the code. However it continues to keep popping up and then it will turn off after a couple of days. I mostly drive in the city and the code generally only pops on when I drive on the highway. I have also noticed a lack or delay of power, when I really hit it hard, I think its because the computer is keeping the egr valve open. What it could be?
View 3 RepliesJust bought this pickup is a 2011 F250 xl with the 6.2l. The service 4x4 flashes on the dash. The 4x4 shift motor fuse blows instantly when replaced even with the vehicle off. I then went and disconnected the plug ins from the shift motor and tried a new fuse and it blew again. Not sure where to go from here.
View 2 Replies1-11-11 built F250 with the 6.2. 45K miles. Took it to my local HD truck shop to have the code read. The reader said "Evap pressure sensor switch malfunction", "vac above pressure limit wouldn't bleed". He cleared it and it has now come back.
1. Where is said switch located? Is this something I can do as I'm a seasoned wrench but I'm not dropping the tank in my driveway in the winter.
2. Is it in the tank or outside the tank?
3. Has there been any TSBs or recalls on this before I attempt to repair?
2 weeks ago I had the check engine light come up on my 2011 F-250 6.2 XLT. Did a diagnostic check and Codes P2098 and P2272 came up. Did some research and found out the second O2 sensor on passenger side had gone bad. I replaced it with a Motorcraft O2 sensor and cleared the code. It has not came back since. But still not getting the fuel mileage I got before. What else could be wrong?
View 5 RepliesI own a 2011 F350 dually with the 6.7 in it. It has 136000 on it and zero mods. I was driving over the weekend and the traction control light, brake light, and the ABS lights all came on and the information center displayed Check Brake System. We were towing our 5th wheel when this happened. The brakes on the pickup and trailer both work and we have no problems stopping. About every 15 minutes or so this message pops up and it chimes again. My insight is reading a U0418 code. We are stopped now and the code and alert message is still popping up without the trailer. All fluid levels are where they should be.
We are also getting a check engine light and my Insight is reading the codes P2020 and P20E8.
I can reset the codes dealing with the reductant leakage and low pressure, but not the codes dealing with the brake system.
I have had my pickup in to 2 different ford dealers for these issues and they cannot find anything wrong. I did notice that this time when the Check Brake system warning appeared that the pick up started lunging a bit, we lost power to the stereo and the windshield wipers came on. Our fuel mileage has remained the same and the pickup still tows like a beast.
Problems my truck seems to be having for one thing sometimes when I'm going thru the gears (6 speed manual) the truck won't wind up all the way it's like it is rev limiting at about 2000 RPMS, been doing that for a while , it does that most of the time but not always. Problem #2 the anti lock lite stays on in the cluster, and just yesterday the service engine soon lite is now on, my truck is a 1999 F250 7.3 6speed manual with 77000 miles on it ...
View 1 RepliesI have a 2007 6.0L 4x4 it has 225k on it. I just had it into the dealer this past week (which we just purchased end of June) they replaced back pressure sensor and #7 injector. Now when you get to about 70-75 on incline it is decelerating and hesitate and looses some of its power.

Just had new head studs put in new head gasket and egr delete 2 new injectors put in

Took it in for an oil change, running perfect. Jan 4.
Service writer comes and gets me after 2 hours. "Engine locked up after they went to start it after oil change."
They are getting a remanufactured long block from Ford.
I am still in shock.....
The 2011 have been out for awhile now. How about some of you with the 6.2L engines sharing your gas mileage. I have not seen anything but better than last year's model in advertisements.
View 14 RepliesMy water in fuel light came on today so after I get to work I drain the filter like I do monthly and notice the sensor wire had come unplugged. I assume I did not get it plugged in good after my last filter change a couple weeks ago. I replugged the wire and drained the fuel, which was clean but now the light stays on. Is there a reset for the light? It has never come on before in 80k miles. 2011 F250 6.7 Powerstroke.

View 14 RepliesWe currently have a 2011 F250. During the day time, when you turn on the headlights all the way (not just on "auto"), the dash lights and clock shut off. Originally, I thought that they were just dimmed to the point where you couldn't see them, but the brightness is already turned all the way up on the dash lights. If I turn the brightness up any higher, the dome lights turn on, but the dash and clock remain off. If you return the headlights back to the "off" or "auto" position, the clock and dash return to their normal brightness.

View 3 RepliesI was running tire chains on my front end and broke the wires going to the wheel (I know ,not smart) . Immediately Service AdvanceTrac, Hill Descent fault, ABS light came on. I took it in to a shop and they repaired the wires but lights are still on and won't clear. Buttons on the dash wont work either. Messed up the sensors maybe?
