My remote start just decided to stop working. I did notice 3 days ago the horn beeped a few times when I started it with the key. Since then if I try to start it I get 6 beeps when it should have started. and the red light flashes twice continuously.

View 12 RepliesThe factory remote start is not working on my 2009 F 250. The red light is lit when I push the button, the doors lock and you can hear something engage in the engine but it does not crank it. If I keep holding the button the alarm starts to go off. When I walk up to truck the radio is on and I need to hit the remote start button to shut everything down before manually staring.
View 4 RepliesOk I've done some searching and reading and really haven't found a answer. My 99 f250 sd 4x4 v10 with a automatic transmission stock hubs with ESOF. I checked the fuses under steering wheel. All good. Showing no error codes. Replaced vacuum lines. I've been driving it for some time only using the lock outs on the hub. Whats different is there is no light on dash stating 2wd, 4wd or low. And when manually locked they don't move in snow. new hubs? I don't really care about switching with ESOF I just need 4WD for plowing!

View 2 RepliesJust this morning I tried to remote start my '13 F250 6.7 and all i got was the doors lock and a two honks. The two honks are usually when there is a door left open when you click the lock button two times but all of my doors were locked. After I started the truck with the key and took it out to go run a errand I noticed the check engine light turned on. Could this be connected or just a coincidence?

I have replaced abs senor on the rear of transmission and on the rear end.both new and just replaced abs module just the computer not the pump that was used . And abs light, overdrive light are still on and the speedometer is still not working ..
View 14 RepliesHaving a problem with my truck and I'm stuck. About 9 months ago my 4wd stopped working. Turn the switch and no light or noise. I took a look at fuses and everything was good there. I let it go but now I need 4wd. Today I checked every fuse and all of them were good. I moved to the relays checked them and they were good but for the heck of it replaced them. Checked for power at the pins. The one that needed power had power. Next I went to the switch had 12 volts there. Pulled switch and test with a multimeter and ohms were good. Went. Down to the motor and tested for power there not power to the motor. Is there anything else I'm missing Esof not working. 2002 f350 7.3 auto....
View 2 RepliesI have a 2006 f250 5.4 4wd with 5r110w trans. Check engine light was blinking and then one day the tranny just stopped working in all gears. Engine code p0751 came up, shift solenoid "A". Changed it, code went away and still no gears. Checked pump pressure, good in all gears, all I can think of now is TCM....
View 3 RepliesI have a 2001 F250, 5.4, 4X4. My ignition key stuck in the start position and when I pulled it back to the run position, everything seemed ok. As I started down the road, my speedometer stopped working and my overdrive light was flashing. Also my turn signals had stopped working and my A/C clutch didn't engage. Figured I burnt a fuse. I looked in both the under dash and power distribution box and all seemed well. I checked the fuse for the turn signals/flasher and it was fine. The flashers worked. Thought I might have fried something so I replaced the ignition lock and switch. Also my service engine light came on throwing a code for the vehicle speed sensor.
Looking for solutions on this forum and the internet, I learned that the turn signal switch could have gone bad and the VSS sensor is on the top of the rear dif and an easy fix. Well replaced the sensor but nothing changed. So I went back to the fuse box. Examined every fuse, big and small and I found a 10a with a small space. This was #24 under the dash. From the manual, "#24, 10A, A/C clutch, Blend Door Actuator, Trailer Tow Battery Charge Relay Coil, Four Wheel Anti-Lock Brake System (4WABS), Turn Signal." Replaced it and everything went back to normal. Turn signals work, A/C clutch works, no flashing overdrive light and speedometer works. All from a 10A fuse. If you have any of these symptoms examine all the fuses carefully. There's a 20A fuse for turn/hazard lamps and this other one buried that's only 10A.
My father-in-law has a 2008 f-250 with the 5.4. as he was driving a while back all the gauges of the dash quit. The engine still kept running without any noticeable difference but when he shut the engine off and tried to restart, it wouldn't even crank but the security light was flashing. He tried starting it again a few hours later and it started just like normal and ran fine.
He has had this problem occur several times in the last few months, but the other day it repeated the problem again and would not restart for about 5 days. He has tried charging the batteries, changing relays, checking all fuses and finding none blown, scanned it with his code reader, and checked the steering column for bare or rubbed wires.
I'm having trouble with my '99 F-350 7.3L 4X4. One day, my power windows, cruise, dome light, horn, wipers, and 4 wheel drive stopped working. After checking all of the fuses, I have found no bad ones.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2001 250 Super Duty. I am having an intermittent issue with the electrical system and transmission. I don't drive this vehicle very much so it sits for 7-14 days at a time.
Previously I had the od light flashing and had the transmission solenoid replaced. A few weeks ago I decided to drive it to the corner store. As I arrive home the od light starts flashing and the transmission starts shifting funny. I pull into my parking spot and turn the truck off. I sensed the shut off was weird so I tried to start the truck. NO POWER! None! I go back to the truck a few days later and it starts up without an issue.
Approx. 20 miles later it starts again. This time I have to jump the battery. I ran the truck and it drove without issue. Again a couple weeks later it starts in again with the light flashing and electrical dying. What it may be? I'm probably going to get rid of the truck as I can;t justify to myself to keep dumping money into it.
Ok my dome light flashes and I get a chime first three times then one and it repeats. No other error messages or codes. What causes this?
View 6 RepliesWhen I purchased my truck 1999 F350 about 5 years ago, I was told it was on its third transmission since the awesome 7.3 diesel engine has 200,000 miles on it. At first I noticed that going up a hill with the truck empty would cause the tranny temp gauge to climb to 250 degrees F. Nowadays when I tow my boat or carry my camper, the temp gauge pegs over 250 and the overdrive light flashes steadily when I do any hill climbs. I have had the fluid flushed several times, and I have a large fan powered oil cooler too. I also recently noticed that the tranny heated up when the truck is just idling in place.
I just got back from burning man and during the 800 mile round trip the overdrive light started flashing at least 6 times and the temp gauge read over 210 the whole time, with it pegging over 250 during hill climbs. No fluid boiled out but I am very concerned that damage is being done.
Is it possible there is a clog in a line somehwere restricting the flow of oil? Or should I replace the tranny?

I bought a 2016 F-250 Lariat, Crew Cab, Short Bed, 4X4, 6.2 a couple weeks ago. One thing I had to have was remote start. My truck was not manufactured with remote start so the dealer installed the Ford 1 way remote start system. The system works fine however the air conditioning fan runs on the lowest speed when remote starting until I put my key in the ignition at which time it reverts back to wherever it was set when I shut the truck down. The whole point of the remote start for me is to get a head start on the truck cooling off but with the fan on low when remote starting it defeats the purpose. How I can change the setting so that when I remote start the fan runs on high? Dealer is clueless and the settings in the truck only allow to turn the system on and off and run time duration.

If it is in fact something that I can utilize I have seen guys on youtube program their fob to do it by clicking three times.
