I'd like to run my DRL's and Fogs at the same time in auto mode. Currently if you have the headlights set to auto and turn on fogs it enables the regular headlights as well. Id like only the U shaped DRLs and the fogs.

I know there's a way to wire the city lights and fogs to run together, but I love the way the halogen DRLs look and i would like to run them together with the fogs. I do have a Euro switch.

These replace the fog light assembly totally and they have like 5 leds or something like that..
The fogs are technically useless too me and I think these look hella unique (at least better than hids in a way).
So, just recently i had both of my DRLs burn out. They both burnt out at the same time which I thought was weird but I thought that it was because of how cold it was here that it may have happened that way. So, I bought new ones and replaced one side and went to check it, nothing. Took it back out, checked the connections and reinstalled it. Nothing again. I looked at the fuses but didn't notice any blown ones so I am stating to think it is a head light switch.
View 7 RepliesI have a 3rd gen Prius (registered in late 2009, but technically a 2010 model), with European "Premium" package including HID low beams and LED daytime running lights. The car has "auto" setting for lights, so I think it should be able to automatically turn on low beams in dark. At least dashboard lighting and the touch & go screen automatically dim, so there must be a sensor (the black dot in last photo, I think).
The problem is that low beams are always on (except in "parking lights only" mode). There is no difference between "auto" and "headlights on" setting. My guess is that this is because of the Nordic legislation requiring headlights being always turned on before 2010 (after 2010 daytime running lights were required/permitted in EU). Whether this behaviour can be changed through OBD programming? It really bothers me to run HIDs on daytime, because in the end all the extra energy is coming from fuel, and also because they have limited lifetime (and probably expensive to replace).
I have had my Santa Fe for 3 months now and have just noticed recently (due to the cold wet weather) that when it is raining my windscreen fogs up when the climate control is set to auto. This never happened in my previous car (VW Golf GTI). I always drive with climate control set to auto and temp set to 23 degrees C. When the windscreen fogs up I have to set A/C to on to demist it. The temperature is then totally different. I can only get a clear windscreen with A/C on, no matter what mode. E.g. If I just have front demister with no A/C then I fog up. If I have blowers set to windscreen and no A/C I fog up. Having A/C on with any mode is fine! When the windscreen is clear and I set the climate control back to auto then the windscreen fogs up almost immediately again.
This seems a bit rubbish to me. I would have thought that having the climate control set to auto is all that is required (like my previous car). I don't want to drive with A/C on when it is raining and auto when it is not. I just want to keep it in one mode.
Last week I got my 2015 IS250. I was wondering if we can drive with the running lights and the fog lights on at the same time. I try on the parking position and the fogs wouldn't turn on, and on auto it's only for the DRL. How to make this setup work. I saw someone driving like that on some other threat but I couldn't find the conversation so here I am...

View 5 RepliesI hit my panic button to located car at school and I hit it again nothing turned off alarm kept going off then I hit unlock button horn sound went away but my hazards were still flashing. As I hit it again it was a delayed reaction and finally my hazards went off the buttons ony remote were a bit delayed to work after all that my fogs stopped working bought a new relay and checked all fuses still not turning on also hooked it up to VAG and it was reading the lights
View 15 RepliesI did some VAG COM work today. (Comfort Blinker, fogs as DRL, Needle Sweep, Auto Lock/Unlock, Remote Windows, Fogs as Corner lights, Fogs don't go off when high beams on). I am using a Hex- Can cable that is approx. 1 year old. These are the malfunctions I am getting with the VAG Com

Is there a way to run the LED DRL's while headlights are on? Vagcom code? euroswitch? Not really too sure just figured I would throw this out there.. Somewhere in the options on the MFD??
I think if your parking brake is engaged they are on but if its just headlights on they turn off. Also I'll just whore this pic of my R ....
So I get on the Highway, I hit the gas and the rear window fogs up. Let up off the gas and the fog dissipates.
All I can think of is under heavy acceleration the heat from the exhaust is fogging up the rear window.
I did a search and I can't seem to find anything on how to remove the 2 side lower grills for fogs. I wanted to know if the whole bumper need to be removed?
View 7 RepliesI have a 2011 GTi, and I'm sure this has been gone over many many times, but I need to be honest, with work and trade school and lack of a good smartphone I have no time to search this on vortex. I just want to know how to turn my DRLs off on my GTi, its the sunroof nav package with BI Xenons. I think I heard you need to use VAG COM to load some special code, and that's about all I heard. So where to get it to turn these off.
View 12 RepliesTook the R in the touchless car wash Monday night and immediately drove home and parked in my garage. I went in to eat and came back out into the garage about 2 hrs later and noticed my replica A6 DRLs were on. I noticed that when I shook the wiring they would flicker but stayed on. I took off all the electrical tape and noticed water had somehow made it's way into the relay. I blew air on the relay and the receptacle. I then greased up the relay prongs and plugged it back in and shook the wiring again and the lights still flickered and stayed on. I pulled the relay to keep the DRL off so they wouldn't kill my battery. Hopefully when I plug the relay back in tonight, all the moisture will have dried up and the DRLs will only light up on ignition as their supposed to.
My question is: How do I keep moisture from getting into the relay in the future? I thought it was very well taped up with electrical tape, but water still managed to make it to the relay. I was going to reluctantly wrap the works with Saran Wrap and tape up the ends but that's the kind of ghetto fix that I usually stay away from.

View 6 RepliesSo I just picked up an R32 and it has a euro switch and euro projector headlights but I've noticed that my parking lights, city lights, and front fogs are all inoperative. Though the turn signals do work. I tried doing a quick search but wasn't really able to come up with anything as to a reason why.
