how to adjust the sensitivity of the 2013 - 2014 Remote-touch controller?
These models years have the "Generation 7" infotainment system, which might be different from the 2015 - 2016 "Generation 8" systems.
I've looked around, but cannot readily find this setting.
How to turn the sensitivity down? The Nav manual on page 40 says "please see your Lexus dealer to adjust sensitivity".

View 8 RepliesSteering wheel will turn about 35 degrees left or right when one side of the street is uneven and you take your hands off the wheel ? I guess I haven't noticed it much in these 3 months because I am always in Sport mode, which stiffens the wheels as we all know, but today as i was driving in Normal, I was on a street that kind of tapered to the right on an approx. 5 degree angle and the wheel turn itself pretty dramatically. I corrected my path and it would shoot right soon as i took my hand off the wheel. Its definitely not an alignment issue because its straight like an arrow. And all tires have 33 psi cold. Then i noticed again on the freeway, i know its uneven pavement but the amount the wheel turns is pretty substantial.
Also, when you make a 90 degree turn the steering wheel doesn't really retract itself back too good, you kind of have guide it back. But putting it in Sport mode fixes all that. Besides that i love the steering, you can take turns at ridiculous speeds (not that i do ) and it eats the the turn right up, no problem, and you dont even break a sweat. The car is phenomenally well balanced. Love the GS
My wife has a 2012 ES-350 with the Parking Assist feature but NO NAVIGATION. You have to get within about 2-3 feet of an object before the warning (visual and audible) detects an object in front or the year of the car. Can the "Sensitivity" be adjusted up so it will recognize a danger long before 2-3 feet ? My LS-460 has a Sensitivity Setting in The GPS settings but since her car does not have GPS, I don't know how to adjust the sensitivity to give her more warning of getting too close to another car or object. How to do this ?
View 11 RepliesI notice in the service/diagnostic menu, there is a place to change the voice recognition (handsfree) settings. It appears to involve recording something (your voice, maybe?), since it has the same kind of record and stop buttons you see on YouTube or in WMP, etc.
How to adjust the microphone sensitivity using this diagnostic?
I see many cars have the parking lines move when you have your steering wheel turn, i thought it might be a feature we have to turn. I cannot find anything in the manual or through search...
View 14 RepliesI need to adjust the torsion spring on my trunk so that it opens fully when I hit the open button. As it is, it only pops up about an inch which sucks when you have your hands full.
To be clear....this is on a NON powered trunk (ie: the one where you can only OPEN the trunk from the key FOB and not close it with a trunk button).
I usually because mine was missing up a bit. My passenger side mirror when I put in reverse angles down adequately but my driver's side barely angles down? Searched forum and web and really couldn't find anything on it? Anyway to adjust the angle in reverse, I couldn't find anything in my manual at all either. I have it turned off now because it's virtually useless with the driver's side barely even angling down.
View 2 RepliesI am new to my Lexus and have owned the car a month now. I love it. The only part of the car I haven't quite figured out though, is locking the car via SmartAccess. About 50% of the time, I can't get the car to lock on the first try by placing my hand on the door handle and touching the sensor with my thumb. Tonight I tried 3 times before giving up, digging the key fob out of my pocket, and doing it manually. Its frustrating. Is there something i'm doing wrong, or is there a special touch I'm missing somewhere?

I'll take my car to the body shop next week, but I'm wondering what is causing this problem. Basically, I want to know how the door touch lock operates. Does it have any sensors attached to the door handle?
View 4 RepliesSo I have a PCS fault on my 2008 LS460L and brought it to my local Lexus Dealership....They basically insist that the data controller is/may be causing the PCS fault.
In the meantime, I guess the most probable action is to disconnect the data controller and see if the problem goes away.....
I've looked in the owner's manual, but only find that they exist, no instructions on turning them on. I know I can unlock the doors with the key fob at night and the lights will come on, including the puddle lights on the bottoms of the rear view mirrors. If I touch the door handles instead of using the key fob (my preferred method of unlocking the vehicle), the doors unlock, but the puddle lights do not come on.
I would also like to be able to turn them on when I am getting ready to exit the car, especially so the wife does not step in a puddle.
I've been using Soundcloud (android) to stream music to the car and everything was going well until a couple days ago.
Whenever I touch the volume controls (steering wheel and center console) it always restarts the song that's playing (the volume does change but the song just restarts). Sometimes I inadvertently use the car volume controls and the song just resets!!
I have an 07 LS 460 L with R-Spec data controller installed. I want to remove the data controller and go back to stock. I removed the data controller and the rear stays super low and tucked and the front stays raised like 3 fingers above the tire. So i reinstalled the data controller for now.

I finally saw idatalink released a firmware for their ADS-ALCA bypass module that allows you to add a remote start that is triggered by the factory keypad. It was a fairly easy installation and it started up right away. I do have car installation experience, but I didnt find the installation to be that difficult in general.
View 14 RepliesMy girlfriend has a 2014 Santa Fe Sport, and she usually leaves the headlights "on" because they turn off shortly after she locks her car or whatnot. For some reason, they don't ALWAYS turn off. Probably 30% of the time they stay on. Well, it was super cold this weekend and he car wouldn't start remotely, so we took mine instead. But lo and behold, her battery is completely dead.
Is there something that would cause these to stay on only sometimes? She's going to start turning on and off, but the intermittent part seems odd to me.
I had my dealership install a car starter when I purchased my 2014 Santa Fe a year and a half ago. I noticed that this blue flashing light constantly flashes up by the rearview mirror. It looks like an anti theft device which it isn't' and really bothers me especially at night because it lights up the whole dash. How to disable this and still keep the remote functional?

Am I doing something wrong, leaving a door not shut all the way etc.... Are there any parimiters where it won't remote start and just "beep" the horn?
I recently bought the Santa Fe Sport 2017 model. The alarm just keeps going off for no apparent reason. It seems like any wind or a car driving on a street will set it off. Is there a place where the alarm sensitivity can be adjusted?
