I've noticed a lot of small leaves going down the small vented drain holes at the bottom of the rear window but cant find a way to remove the cover and clean out what must be years of accumulated rubbish .
View 3 RepliesAfter reading about water in body panels in another post I looked on my rear door and saw what looks like drain holes, one on each side of the inside lip, but they are covered by a sticker and have been painted over. Was this something that was just never removed or are they supposed to be covered.
View 3 RepliesI just noticed today that the piece that connects the rear wiper to the window is rusting. It is only 1.5 years old, so seems odd to be rusting already. I'll be taking it in for an oil change soon, so will get it looked at and see what they say.
View 18 RepliesI bought the car a month ago and went to pick it up today and there was 3 inches of water in the left front and rear footwells. I drained the water from there but can still hear it sloshing around in the quarters. Probably the drain holes are clogged. Where are they and how do I get to them? Do the rocker moldings have to be removed?

The rear window sunshade keep coming up on it own when I start the car.. It will always goes down when I push the button, but It wont go up after I put it down the first time though.

View 11 RepliesI have a 2007 LS460L. It hasn't been driven in three or four days. Today we found the car was completely dead. I had to get into the car with the manual key. The battery is one year old. The AAA person found that the light switch was set on parking lights rather than automatic. Could that have drained the battery. I thought that the lights turn off after you leave the car.
View 4 RepliesA couple days ago the engine wouldn't start. I thought it was a dead battery (installed 5 months ago), so I brought a mechanic with a new battery. While the mechanic was working on replacing the battery, I heard some discrete noise coming out from under the hood and windshield area (driver's side). I didn't pay much attention.
Now, when I switch off the car, I can hear the noise (it's like the door's closer sound but with higher interval and it comes out about every 30 seconds). When I'm at complete stop, I hear the noise with the rpm dropping a tiny bit until the noise fades away when the rpm gets back to the normal level. The episode is repeated every 30 seconds or so. Today I felt the battery started to drain (it took longer to start the car).
LS460, '08, VSR fix done 1 year & 30K miles ago. No other problems or symptoms.
I checked my rx350 battery health and it is good. Still I am having recurrent issues when battery dies. And needs a restart. It happened many times and last one just happened this morning and I have feeling that this is related to rear hatch door...let me explain what happened:
Yesterday evening I went for grocery shopping and opened the rear hatch door using my car key remote, kept the groceries and closed the rear hatch using the button on the bottom of rear hatch door. I drove back to home and parked the vehicle in the garage. This morning I opened the rear hatch again and closed it, drove it to a house one block away, returned home and parked the car.
When I tried to start 1 hour later, the battery had already died. So, I have a feeling that opening and closing the rear hatch door 3 times caused this battery drain.
Getting the metal mirror base off the rest of the assembly? My mirror fell off the windshield, probably due to a poor glue job a few years ago when the windsheild was replaced. Now for the life of me, I can't get the black metal base off the rest of the mirror to glue it back on. It looks like there are a couple of small holes for a pin spanner, but I've tried that and nothing budges.

View 10 RepliesI am speaking on behalf of my Mother who just purchased a 07 Santa Fe, a long story short my niece in the rear passenger seat attempted to put the window down while my Mother attempted to put the window up at the same time. Now the window is stuck down. We have owned the car less then a week. I was thumbing through the Owners manual and it specifically states something in there about "Do not attempt to move the window in opposite directions at the same time" So it is only my assumption that this is what has happened. The door control does not work and the Drivers control doesn't work on that specific window but works on the others. I checked the relays and fuses for the power windows and they looked fine. I have never seen anything about moving a window up and down simultaneously causing issues in any other car I have owned is this a hyundai deal?

View 9 RepliesI have 2007 Camry base model 4 cyl. I went into the grocery store with my wife and kids and returned to car with no power. I turn the key and nothing happens. The dome light can turn on but its weak. the only dash lights that come on are the oil light and the key with the car picture.
I bought a new battery for it and still nothing. I had it towed to my house and currently trying to find as much info as possible on it. So again I turn the key, no lights on the dash except for oil for a second... then nothing no turning over, no clicking..
My thoughts are cable wires or fuses?
The rear windscreen should be removable or tilt up at the very least!! Any foolproof solution or tool they use to thoroughly clean the rear window without having to resort to a significant level of foul language that would bring even this ex-sailor to tears?

View 14 RepliesOne side of my rear defogger wire has detached from the window. It detached right at the metal clip and window. I will not solder (due to possibly breaking the window). Have tried all kind of epoxies & bonding agents - will not work.

Read its sway and struts. As of 2010 Hyundai had no recall or solution to issue.
Will this correct the noise. When I push the rear up and down I get no noise.

Something inside my driver's side rear door is loose and keeps rattling every time the base hits. I tried to take the panel out but I broke one of the Clips. Any diagram or a DIY on how to access inside and figure out what the problem is?
