Will an airbag still deploy if the car was on, but while driving you turn the key to the off position, specifically a 2006 Lexus Hybrid RX 400H?

Toyota - Rav4 :: 2006 - Airbag Didn't Deploy
A few years ago I bought a used 2006 Toyota Rav4. I was rear ended in 2010 and my air bag did not deploy. Only damage was to back bumper. Yesterday I was again rear ended. I am guessing the only problem will be a damaged bumper, but once again the air bag did not deploy. This time I had an elderly couple in my car and both said the impact was hard enough that my air bags should have deployed. No one was hurt. How much force does it take to make the air bags deploy? Should I be concerned? If so, can the body shop check my air bags or do I need to go to the dealer for that?

My husband rolled his F250 in the northeast winter storm yesterday. (Broken leg, concussion but ok!!) The air bags didn't deploy. He hit a tree impacting the front driver's side, hard. Shouldn't the air bags have deployed? Neither did. He had the engine replaced about 6 months ago by our mechanic. Would replacing an engine also include having to touch the air bag system? Don't want to ruin my mechanic's day. Just want to know why they didn't deploy and if it was a manufacturer defect or the result of having had the engine replaced and maybe something not being re-connected. New engine: 5.4ltr Jasper.

My wife was rear shunted badly in her 2016 SantaFe - she is puzzled that the airbags did not deploy. I told her they only deploy front or side if collision hard enough in those areas - am I right ?

Just recently bought the car a month ago. This car has been giving me a lot of headaches. First my radio unit wouldn't work properly. Just started my car today and my gauges are flickering. Seatbelt and airbag keep flickering on and off. AC says 32.0 temp and wont let me adjust it. Passenger windows don't work. Driver window goes up and down but isn't automatic anymore. I have to hold it both ways.

I am trying to install the Red TRD ignition switch push start button. I have already removed all the panels I need according to the Toyota instructions. I have two questions;
1.) How do I disconnect the knee airbag ? I was trying to remove the connector but was not sure on how to remove it. The instructions just says be careful.
2.) How do I get the ignition switch out ? There is barely any space to put your hand underneath the dash to remove the two back clips. (after removing all the necessary panels) Since I can not disconnect the knee airbag , It's hard to lay down and look under the dash.
Lexus RX 2004-09 :: 2007 RX350 - Airbag Lights Comes On Once In A While
My parents have a 2007 RX350 and they had the airbag light come on once in a while. I have the car right now so I could figure out the issue for them and get it fixed.
The light wouldn't come on for the first couple days and it off today for a while until I move the seat fully backward and then forward. After I restarted the vehicle the light came on.
I got to work and tried tightening all connectors under the seat and the light did go off and stay off but I didn't drive it after that.
When the light is on it blinks in the 1-second on / 1-second off pattern. When my dad's friend-mechanic checked it out, he said that the description of the code he could read was something like "open [squib] circuit connector", unfortunately, he can't remember.
Lexus RX 2004-09 :: Airbag Light Blinks In The Dashboard
I have a problem with Airbag light - it blinks in the dashboard. The dealer turned it off twice (by connecting their computer) but it came back again. I'm pretty sure (and the dealer thinks the same) the problem is related to wiring because the light does not blink sometimes. And, when it does not blink, sometimes it starts blinking again, especially when I drive fast and make a "sharp turn" (hope that makes sense).
So far, I only know the faulty airbag is in the driver's seat (the dealer told me so). Since they turn the light off and it comes back again later, they suggest me leaving the car in the service, so they can remove the driver's seat and check the issue.

So my rear air suspension just went out, I'm assuming that my air bags have a leak or a hole because the air compressor shut its self off. I'm thinking of just getting rid of the air system completely and just putting on some good shocks and leveling it out.

I have a 2007 RX400h. All of a sudden I see the airbag light on the dash and the passenger airbag off light always lit. It does not matter whether I am sitting in the passenger seat or not. I should easily weigh enough to turn on the passenger air bag.
I have a basic OBDII scan tool. It does not show any error codes.
Lexus GX 2004-09 :: Sagging In Rear End / Airbag Leak?
In my Driveway, many times I notice my GX in the rear is sagging. I measured it from the center of the wheel up . when it appears normal it is 21". When it is sagging it measures 18". So there is 3" difference.
What is causing this, I know some will say it maybe a airbag leak. I dont think thats the case and I MAYBE wrong. Because, when I park the car with with no sag at night and the height is 21" it stays like that in the morning.
I know there are lots of idea of doing a change over to regular struts. What is the best method out there?
Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: 2006 - Airbag Code 42 Flashing
2006 F150, FX4, 5.4, super crew. Had the infamous airbag code 42 flashing at me the other day, replaced the sensor in the front of the radiator support, and am still getting the same code. The old senser had some corrosion inside the sensor itself, but the connections were clean on both the sensor and the pigtail. Is there something I may have missed?

I have 228,000 miles on my wonderful GX 470. Love it!! Very Few Problems. My Airbag Light on the Cluster stays ON sometimes and sometimes is OFF. There is no consistency. I have an 04 and the airbag light comes on when started and stays on. I noticed when I start it without sitting in the drivers seat the light goes out. It will illuminate again when I sit or apply pressure to the seat. I looked up the component list on Sewell's website and there is a airbag seat sensor under the drivers seat. My question is it seems to be the issue however it also seems to be working to pick up the presence of a driver. I have an aftermarket warranty that a Rep says it doesn't cover???. I'm assuming if the light goes out without weight on the seat should I replace the sensor? Or is there a "bladder" under the seat cover that may need replacement?

I own a 2004 GX470 and am recently having issues with my rear airbag. The height control is inoperative and the bags will not fill completely and lift the rear.
I went under the car and found the bumpstops are a few centimeters off the rear axle.
What could cause the height control to not function? Could it be the height sensor, airbag, etc? I could hear the air compressor turn on so do not think that is an issue.
Prius (2004-09) :: Airbag Warning Light On Along With Dash Indicator Saying Airbag Is Off
Last night, my 2008 Prius was hit from the rear. The bumper was damaged as well as a few starches on the hatch. However the latch for the hatch was move forward so the hatch no longer latches. Also during the collision, my daughter's heavy backpack was throw against the back of the passenger seat with enough force to hurt her back.
The airbag warning light remains on along with the dash indicator saying the airbag is off. Does mean all the airbags are disabled? Can this be reset? The car will be professionally repaired but I still need to drive it until I can get it repaired.

135 plus pound passenger with seat belt on. Was intermittent on/off with passenger but now seems always off (off light 'on' ) meaning the passenger airbag is disabled.
I know the es350 was so bad like this that there was a threat of class action. I've read the weight sensor is in the passenger seat rail and you can also do a calibration with a scan tool.
