My front right brake seems to work better then my left.. What it could be? my car pulls to the right when I press brake.. I am going to be replacing my brakes this summer but before I do that I wana know whats causing this so my new brakes don't get ruined..
View 4 RepliesOn my 2007 SC 430 I have a passenger headlight that appears to have a mind of its own. It works intermittently. I know that it is programmed to go off when the car is in park, but that is not what I'm talking about. When I start the car after dark both sides will be on but at some point the passenger side will go out, not all the time, but quite often. I have checked for loos wires but have not found any.

View 7 RepliesI replaced my brake pads and rotors and now the driver's side brake has a loud pitched squeal. It doesn't squeal all the time and if I let up on the brakes and apply them it goes away.
I think maybe one piston is hung up.
How do you free up a stuck piston in the caliper piston?
Or could there be another reason for the squeal.
I installed Callahan slotted rotors and ceramic pads on all 4-wheels.
Just bought a 2004 SC to go with our '07. Noticed the fog lights and front side markers are not working. Checked the fuse and it is ok.
View 9 RepliesMy front drivers side pillar is flapping around and won't stay in the set position. It seems to be the washer that the one of the clips goes into (at the very bottom of the pillar) has corroded.
So firstly I am trying to take it off - but after reading the removal of windscreen instructions I see:
21. REMOVE FRONT BODY PILLAR OUTER RH
a) Remove the nut.
I can't see a nut and if it's under the pillar how do I access it?
And then
34: INSTALL FRONT BODY PILLAR OUTER RH
a) Exchange the clip with a new one
What clip is this referring to and what is the part number.
The closest thread I found was this [URL] ..... The straight rod that goes into the windshield from the roof, on the passenger side, does look a bit worn. should i tape it up? I started having this problem recently. Never heard this noise the past.
My sc430 is giving a loud pop right over passenger's side from roof, whenever my car goes over a bump or rough road. I think it's where the front hardtop latches are. Only on the driver's side. It's a loud pop sound.
Does this have something to do with the latch, or latch motors, that closes the power roof ? Would it work if I tighten the retractable top by turning the rubber button in the center back of the car, the one that exposes during roof operation as outlined by other posters here?
I have a problem with the steering. Sometimes a clicking noise is coming out from the front left side when I sharply turn the wheels or hit the brake. The car was in a local garage today and they couldn't find the problem. 2 mechanics checked the suspension, cv joint, axle, wheel bearing... also 1 of them driven the car and found nothing. Tomorrow I show them the clip below.

Just bought an '08 Avalon XLS (very clean) and noticed that the left front end sits lower than the right. Vehicle has 80,000 miles ..
I have a '13 Camry as well, and love this Avalon.
I am running into issues with my 3GS recently I am hearing loud ticking noise coming from the left side on the front of my car and from what most of people have told me is it might be my Axle or my wheel bearing so was wondering what the part number was for both of them and what is the best place to order these two parts from.

View 14 RepliesYesterday for the first time while driving my gs460 2010 on the highway the front brake right side freezes for a sec after accelerating 100+ it keeps freezing for a sec . below that nothing happens everything is back to normal no brake freezing. Whats the reason or been through the same problem?
View 2 RepliesI have a slight squeal from the left rear brake when in reverse. Doesn't do it all time and never when roads are wet. I disassembled the caliper and all looks good. I replaced the pads about a year ago and the noise just recently started, so its hard to blame that. I did not use the brake anti-noise lube......but I never have.
View 2 RepliesI have just noticed a random knock on front end on 2002 430 sc when going 5 to 10 mph and turning steering wheel to left or right...sounds like metal to metal and shifting or movement knock ... turning left, sound on passenger side; turning right, sound on drivers side..brake system checked out ok; had struts, plates and insulators changed; checks were made on torques to all front suspension bolts and everything is tight and no movements in bushings and etc.. totally baffled and really an annoying sound......ball joints are tight and no movement.

View 4 RepliesOn my 2006 SC430 the DRL's come on with the low beam lights.I assume this is standard across all second Gen SC430's. My issue is the passenger side DRL went out. The high beams worked fine, but only the drivers side DRL would work when the headlights are on (no DRL's come on with the headlights off).
So, I went to AutoZone and picked up replacement bulbs. I just put them in and the exact same thing is happening. Brights work fine, DRL only works on the drivers side. Where to even look now that I have replaced the bulbs.
Any simple way to make my rear side windows go up when my top is down. I'm willing to rewire if its fairly easy.
View 9 RepliesMy dual zone AC started behaving strangely a couple weeks ago. Driver side is blowing cold but the passenger side is blowing warm ambient temperature air. I tried turning off dual and turning back on, manual setting both zones to same temperature, but the passenger side won't blow cold air. Sometimes after driving for a few minutes, the passenger side starts blowing cooler air but not as cold as the driver side. What could cause this problem?

View 1 RepliesI've had this issue for quite a while. on and off for the beginning of me owning the car and now pretty much all the time. The driver side mirror will not tilt down or up. Only side to side. The passenger side works fine and even tilts down when i reverse.
