So the driver side seat heater won't work, I swapped the switch with the passenger side and it won't work (but the drivers side switch works on the passener side), the fuse is alright. What am I missing?

The seat heater module on drivers side went out and the back slider window leaks water bad when we take it through the car wash. Is this possible? We were told nothing of this when we purchased it from this same Ford dealer.
View 14 RepliesMy seat heater decided to stop working a few days ago when the temp. dropped down to -30deg Celcius. I checked the fuse today and all is well. I couldn't see any loose wires under the seat either. Both seat warmers stopped working at the same time.
View 3 RepliesWeird seat heater issue on my 05 TAP/Ecru. Drivers side seat heater tends to fail intermittently after I apply leather care liquid on the seat. Does not happen on the passenger side. In winter, it failed for nearly a week before coming back to life. Yesterday it failed for the evening, then started working again today. Each time right after I applied leather care to the seats. Same amount applied to passenger and driver's seat and the passenger seat is always OK.
What is causing this ? Of course each time I go to the dealer, it is working fine !!!!
Well, as the cold weather has approached, a minor issue has surfaced.
It appears my driver-side mirror heater is not working. Both mirrors still move as they should, and the rear defroster and passenger side mirror both heat as the should with the defrost button, but the driver side does not, as it is cold to the touch and naturally did not melt the frost yesterday.
I looked at the fuses hoping it would be something as simple as that, but it does not appear there are separate fuses for each mirror; the naming is a bit cryptic, but it looks like there may be one for both mirrors, which logically would not explain the situation.
Seems to me the heater itself is defective, and I am not exactly looking forward to opening up the mirror and/or spending money to fix this...
The Prius is a 2006, and I am up to 256K KM (~160K miles) to date.
Driver's side power seat not working correctly. It moves fine when I am not sitting in it, but as soon as I sit in it, it doesn't want to work (the motor starts to engage, albeit weakly, then stalls). I have never worked on a seat before, so I don't even know where I should start looking to fix the problem. 2005 Ex Limited. And is there a part I should be focused on? And how the heck do I dissassmble it? I've seen the seat's diagram, but I really can't tell by that how to take the seat apart.
View 7 RepliesI have an '07 Saturn Relay. The drivers side heated seat has quit working, the passenger side works fine. When I turn the warmer switch on, the switch lights up but the seat never gets warm on the high or low mode of the switch. After a while the light on the switch goes off, it used to stay on all the time. What could be wrong and how can I check it?
View 3 RepliesThe indicator lights stopped working on the switches and the dealer replaced a fuse and they worked again. Now they are out again and it seems like the heater on the drivers side is on the low setting for random intervals.

View 2 RepliesThe drivers seat heat on my 2010 F-150 stopped working. The passengers side works fine. When I press the button on the dash, it lights for 2-3 seconds, then goes out. I have been looking around all weekend for a fix. I found many posts, but they are older and the equipment I'm seeing on my 2010 F-150 looks different. I found the wires coming from the heating pad. I was going to try and test for continuity but the wires have a plastic fitting and I can't get contact to the wires. I found a diagram on Foreparts.com showing that the heated seat control module is part # 14C724. I was able to locate on the passengers side, but not on the drivers side so I wasn't able to swap and see if that was the problem.

Recently the drivers seat would only recline/move front to back tilt on the outer left most side. The seat back appeared to be frozen on the inner/right hand hinge by the center console. It just twists the seat back if I try to recline or move it at all
Is this a warranty thing or is there something simple like a fuse or plug the at could be the culprit?
I have in the last 5000 miles had the timing belt changed and at same time the usual other item - water pump, Thermostat etc,, Engine has 155k on it.
I have had overheating issues that I thought was related to the viscous fan clutch and replaced that (it was bad) and the issue of overheating now just take longer to happen.
I have bled the coolant system and have good hot air out with heater - engine warms up within 1/2 mile of house. I am running right now Prestome all color antifreeze as it was overheating and and loosing liquid as a result.
In trouble shooting yesterday I find that when it now overheats it is leaking at the heater hose on drivers side of heater box. I have repositioned hose and clamp after bleeding it and it still overheats and with pressure build up leaks at this location - this happens when moving or when stationary.
With heat coming from heater box (both hoses get hot) and both fans working would this be bad thermostat? (again have heat) or a bad water pump?
99 Passat GLX Electrical Gremlins!! Glove box light, out, no power to light, fuse perfect, bulb fine. wiring fine. Also memory function on driver seat not functioning. All power adjustments on seat fine. I think problems are linked. Looking forward to access to wiring diagram? Seems to be a open circuit somewhere.

View 3 RepliesDrivers side low beam not working. The bulb is fine saying something was tapped in, therefore, can't warranty headlight. Guy said the light gets power just light won't work. Can Vagcom fix this? Dealer wants $125 for inspection plus another $676 for parts and labor.
