There's no beep or flashing parking lights when I lock my doors on my 2011 Prius 2 when using the remote or the door handle sensor. I still get the 2 beeps/light flashes when I unlock. The lock beep was working fine and then just stopped. The doors still lock fine with the remote or handle sensor, just no beep/flash.
View 4 RepliesI have 4 differnt FOBs and i get the same response from all of them. they will unlock the doors and the lights flash on the car and remote but when i try and lock with remote, the light on the remote flashes but i get nothing from the car.
View 6 RepliesMy car today suddenly will not "beep", nor will the lights flash, when I double-click to lock with the smart key. The smart key itself is fine, as it locks and unlocks properly. I know many people find the beep a nuisance, but I like it.
I just had my windshield replaced two days ago. Could this be the cause? Is it something I can fix myself, or will I need to take it into the shop? I'm hoping I can just quickly re-connect something that became unconnected during windshield replacement.
I have a Hyundai Sonata 2011 all was fine until a couple days ago when I lock the doors using the remote I hear it click then in 20 minutes later the lights are blinking on and off. I use the remote to lock the doors again and the same thing happens. I replaced the battery in the remote , I also had the battery in the car checked. What could be triggering the lights to keep blinking ?
View 5 RepliesI have a 2002 (First Generation) and can not lock the doors with the remote. It will unlock with the remote (lights flash) but will not lock. I have checked ALL the doors and they are closed, not ajar. Assoc. battery is at 12.77 volts. I have tried another remote, same one that came with the car and that one will not unlock it either. Remote batteries are OK. When I try to unlock the car with the Remote, the lights don't flash and it tries to lock but then it unlocks--just like a door ajar????

View 4 RepliesWe have a few dozen '10 Prius' at work. When I make stops and get out of the car, I like to lock my doors while the car is running so nobody can steal anything inside the car. I tried closing the door and touching the handle on both sides but I just get a long beep tone which lasts about 10 seconds. And sure enough, the door doesn't lock. I hate leaving the car unlocked and I'm used to our old cars where you were able to take the key out of the ignition and lock the doors while the car was still running.
View 19 RepliesI've got a prius 2010, how do I lock the car with one of the doors (or hatchback) still open? The car just beeps at you until you close a door... And then it stops beeping, but doesn't lock. I find this to be exceedingly annoying, I'm surprised I couldn't find more than 1 other thread complaining about it. I find it annoying in two common situations:
a) I plan on locking the car with the fob, filling both of my hands full of things and pushing the door shut with my butt. I have no free hands left to find the fob in my pocket and lock the door, or walk around to the driver's side of the car to touch the lock sensor.
b) A passenger is dawdling getting all their stuff ready and plans to catch up with me in 30 seconds. I need the lock the car before I walk away.
I wanted to know that at the moment my prius does not automatically locks the doors when reaching above 20km/hr as its suppose to.
I went through the manual and tried to turn the power button on and pushing the gear in N and pressing the lock button but it didn't work.
How to alter the function of the automatic door locks to change to, say, lock the doors automatically at 15mph or lock the doors when shifting from Park. What I wanna know is how do I disable this feature altogether? I don't like auto-locking doors in any instance.

View 24 RepliesSanta fe 2004 - When locking the car with RC, lights did not flash. Cause was hazard light fuse. To verify this, activate the hazard lights, if they do not work at all, check the hazard light fuse. When I replaced the fuse all issues were resolved.

View 5 RepliesMy Alarm seems to be having an issue recently. When I hit the remote the doors lock but the lights do not flash and the beep is gone. When I hit the remote to unlock, the lights flash. Last Night I opened all the doors hood/trunk and shut everything and the lights flashed and it beeped. Since I have no door indicator lights I was wondering if there is a sensor where it thinks the hood is open possibly? I am at 57k so I am still under warranty. I had a Blazer years back when the alarm started acting up, they had to replace the computer one time and I think the battery the second time. But I don't think it is that. I did have some work done recently to put a blower motor and Brake light switch in. I did see reference in another thread from 2 years ago about the alarm for a different model car. 2009 Sonata 3.3 ....
View 6 RepliesEvery once in awhile when I'm on the freeway, the hazard lights will flash and the doors will lock and unlock for about 3 seconds then stop.
The car is running normally other than this, except that the doors have stopped locking with the fob or the key itself. It is a 2001 2.0L L4 SOHC 8V.
So i think I'm loosing my mind but i could swear that when i got my Pri V it beeped and locked doors once when i would touch the door handle or remote. For some reason now it locks the doors twice and no beep on locking. It also locks the doors twice whenever i put it in drive now also. Is this normal?
View 8 RepliesMy 2013 is 9 months old and over time I've noticed whenever I lock my doors. My passenger side rear door does an extra click. Sounds like it's locking twice, an extra one after the original click.It's not a huge deal, I just hear it every time and I wonder if it could turn into an issue with locking etc.. Don't have a problem bringing it into the dealer for a look.

I just tried to lock it again, and there was no beep or signal light flash. I tried my other FOB, same thing. Unlocking works just fine. I tried turning the car on and back off again, no dice.
View 2 RepliesI used to have other car that used to make a loud beep upon locking. My prius 2010 III is bit nimble and social. It blinks and makes a little chirp. I would rather need a loud beep so to locate and ensure my car is locked especially in noisy environments.
