I have a 2006 Prius with 132k miles. The other day I started the car and the red triangle and engine check lights came on. It also has the "Take it to a dealer" icon on the display.

Now when trying to start the car again for the first time with new battery, it will not start all the way and go into gear. it begins to fire-up then just doesn't. it flashes ready 4 times then when usually the speedometer would throw up a zero, there is nothing.
The codes I got were c1241 c1259 c1310 c1378 the abs icon is displayed with every code. I erased these then ran again and still had the actuator code. Does this mean that I need to replace the actuator or is there maintenance that can suffice? Or do you think it's something dif all together and it should start with that code?
I have been getting a beeping noise when I touch the brake pedal for a while now. It goes off after the car fully turns on..
My Toyota prius 2006 get red triangle light appears when I start the engine and it disappears when I drive the car. When I stop the car, it comes back again. The warning light is like in the picture I attached.

View 1 RepliesI have a 2013 F150 FX2 5.0 motor that hit 16,000 miles. I took it yesterday to dealer for oil change. After 1 hour they advised me it was ready and that it was sitting outside. When I start the truck with my door open I notice a slight metal on metal sound coming from the driver side wheel well. Its not a constant taping sound. It more like its morse code. I called the service adviser. They take the truck, They came back 30 mins later and said. They hear the sound. Sounds like it coming from the bottom of the motor by the oil pain. They confirm its coming from the motor. I had 2 options.. Leave truck and let them dig into it or come back on Monday and drop the truck off. I left with the truck but will be returning on Monday. I spoke to a buddy mechanic and he said something is wrong and he believes they ran my truck without oil. He said maybe the tech started the truck and then realized he forgot the oil..

This morning I was cruising down the highway with cruise control set at 63 mph. All of a sudden the car slowed down and the "Slip Indicator" was displayed and the cruise control was now off.
View 2 RepliesI recently purchased a used 2007 and have since driven 308 miles on it. There are currently 3 bars left on the fuel gauge, and the computer reports that I'm averaging 45.8 mpg.
However, I don't see how that mpg is possible because if I have been averaging 45.8 mpg over 308 miles, I should have used only 6.27 gallons...and 6.27 gallons is only 56.5% of the 11.9 gallon tank size, compared to the 70% that I've used based on my current fuel gauge status.
Today when I was driving home from work and getting off the Freeway the yellow triangle flashed and the MFD said "Low Engine Oil Pressure" and the car beeped. It was only on for a few seconds then went off. The off ramp was one of those looping ones and I was taking it pretty fast probably around 50 MPH but I have done that many times before...

I set up the price in the settings but it is still not displayed.
Recently, my Prius hasn't been getting much use, so the 12v battery drained. The car worked ok after I gave it a jump. But, because I don't drive the car very much, the battery drained again, maybe completely.
When I jumped it again, the car ran ok, but the red triangle is displayed, along with the check engine light on the dash, and a red car icon on the MFD. The car drives, but the lights are on.
Before replacing the battery, should I take any steps?
I was driving today and noticed AFS icon blinking and wondering what does this mean? After dinner and driving back, the blinking AFS light went away.
View 2 RepliesI recently installed an updated 13.1 navigation disk for my car, all is working well. However on occasion at start up the navigation round icon bounces to a location down the road from my actual location, like I pushed the screen?? However my location on the screen is accurate.
I thought at first I may have pushed a button or something but quickly figured out it does it on its own. I can hit the map button and all is good.
So I tried the old disk and it still does it, in the few months I have had the car its never done this.
So maybe did the new disk screw something up??
I just don't want to push another button to start the navigation since I did not have to do it before.
I have a bizarre issue, once the car is running about 20 minutes, the seat belt icon on dash and passenger seat belt light (unoccupied) start flashing. Then the flashing become more like a flickering with a noise. At this time all power windows become sticky and operate under the same bop if you will as the seatbelt light. The doors the will not lock and the alarm will not work. Today it took me about 6 minutes just to close one window and i had to lock the car manually. After a few hours with the car being off, everything works fine again, then another 20 minutes of driving the issue reappears.

I filled up last week and I noticed that as soon as a single cell display in the fuel display part has some empty section like 3/4 fuel(single cell) the next day or after that that whole cell disappears without it showing that single cell as being empty.
Around which fuel cell, when displayed, is it important and recommended to fill up gas again, with one cell remaining or two etc.
Temperatures have dropped, and I am getting an icon that looks like a tent with a small snowflake in it - manual says "low temperature." My question is - what should I do? The icon persists after the car is warmed up.

View 3 RepliesI just got my new 2012 Prius (package 3). When I turn on the headlights (2 clicks), no icon shows up on the dash (unlike my 2006 Prius). I thought this was weird but ok. When I switched to the brights for the first time, the headlights icon came on with the brights icon! I was wondering if this is still normal (no icon for headlights up to 2 clicks, 3rd click for brights turns on headlights and brights icons), or if I need to make a trip in to get that looked at?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2001 toyota that I was driving yesterday. I parked my car on the side of the road for 2 minutes to find something in the car. Randomly after a minute of being parked the car suddenly flashed the red triangle on the dashboard as well as the check engine light.
Also as well on the main computer screen where the radio stations normally are displayed a Problem alert appeared. It shows the PS icon, the Battery Icon, and the Red Car exclamation icon. Only the Car Exclamation point is red.
As some basic steps I tried (Because I don't know that much about cars) I opened the hood when the engine was off and cold and checked the air vent filter to see if it was clean. I cleaned just in case. I also check the gas cap to see that the cap was closed tightly. Also checked the tires air to see if that could be the case. Oil was looked at by me and I didn't see anything abnormal as well.
2007 Gen II Prius, at 135K.
Over the last couple days, the console beeps (same beep as the low fuel one) and the word 'Problem' flashes at the top of the screen. It goes away, then nothing happens. The vehicle is otherwise running fine, no symptoms. The 'Maintenance Required' sign is on on my dashboard, but that's been on for a while now (a month) for a routine oil change (so I think that's the only reason it's on).
Until about a week ago, when I turned my headlights on, the icon (light bulb) appeared on the dash. Out of the blue, it doesn't. Any clue why? (High beam icon still appears).
