When I turn my 2012 off the radio stays on for a few seconds and I get approx 6 beeps. It didnt do this when I first got the car so just wondering whats up.

Prius (Gen 2) :: Cooling Starts And Stops With Frequent Intervals
When using the AC on my 2004 Prius, in any mode, any temperature, on fresh or recirculate, the cooling starts and stops every 5-10 mins. When the cooling is on, it is nice an cold, but then no matter how hot outside, the cooling stops and I am just getting vent air. After a while, the temp in the car gets way above the set point, and it kicks back on and cools again. This occurs over and over again.
Being as the cooling works well some of the time, I was wondering if it is a controller, not the cooling system itself.
Prius (2004-09) :: Headlights Blown On Frequent Basis
2009 Prius with 115,000 miles. I've had to replace one or other of my headlight bulbs four times in the past six months. This is becoming a real PITA. Is there a known cause (and fix)?

On my 2010 Prius (~75,000 miles): The whirring electric motor sound that one hears when just entering the vehicle (even before starting the vehicle) seems to be getting more frequent (and maybe louder).
I used to notice it only when getting in the car and before or just after pushing in the start button. But now I notice it driving around the neighborhood, even at moderate speeds. Is this a sign of some impending failure?

Lately when i take my key out of the ignition, my radio stays on and my car will chime with the door open as if the key was still in the ignition (and it lasts for different periods of time). I also have found it more difficult to get the key in and out. Obviously there is something wrong with the ignition.

Checking fuses and relays due to flashing brake light.now the air bag light is on all the time and now the starter won't crank with the key. All dash lights come on as normal , and brand new battery. Good grounds and fuses.
Really frustrating because I have no Viacom or access to anyone who does. I am in elkin nc and closest dealer is 50 miles away!!! Tried clearing the cry by pulling the cables and touching them together then reconnect to battery after 2 minutes.
Pull the key and I can still turn the radio on. Disconnected battery for 2 hours and still no safe mode on radio. Kind of hoping that was why no crank , but no such luck.

I got my car from an auction and I apparently had to do work to it and we got most problems fixed but now when i saw my fuse box i saw their wasn't a fuse in the radio so i put on in there and it can on so I thought cool it works so i turned my car off and the radio stayed on and i thought, bad fuse so i got a new fuse put it in and my car was still off and the radio stayed on. So i can't have a radio because my battery will drain. The ignition works i got a new one installed it perfectly my car is a 2000 Pontiac grandprix gtp supercharged. This just started today and when I turned off my car and removed the key from the ignition, the radio stayed on. Also, when I opened the door, the door chime came on as if the lights were still on and now I'm not able to lock the car or set the alarm using my key. I've read that some vw cars are wired so that the radio stays on after the car is turned off, but this has never been the case with my car. My main concern is battery drainage and being unable to lock and arm my alarm.

My 2003 Honda Accord radio will turn on while the car keys are not in the car. It's been happening for months now. If I leave the radio powered on while the car is off it will drain the battery by the time I try to start it again in the morning. If I turn the radio off before the car keys are out I can still see the radio receiving power (the clock on the display lights up).
I had a different issue about a year ago where if the radio was on it would make really loud popping noise then go silent. I could usually get it back by turning it of an on several times. I it to a car audio shop who soldered the connections in the radio and I haven't had the problem since. After this I also had an iPod/iPhone adapter installed. It seems as though the issue with the radio staying on may have started somewhere around that time.
What could be causing this? The guy at the car audio shop says that he thinks the radio is just bad and that Honda had a huge problem with radios in Accords from that year. However I don't want to spend money to put a new radio in only to have the same issue after.
Elantra GD (2013+) :: Radio Stays On When Ignition Is In The Off Position
I own a 2013 Elantra GT that my wife drives. We have had it since late September 2012, so it is about 20 months old now, with only 2250 miles. Yes, I know, it is not even broken in yet.
Anyway, yesterday when the wife returned from some shopping she told me that the radio in the car is still on after the engine was off, the ignition locked and the key in your hand.
I checked it out, and sure enough, the radio was still on. I restarted the car, and discovered the power button would not turn the radio off, the radio volume could not be changed, and the station could not be changed. Every control for the Audio system was inoperative, along with all the control buttons on the left side of the steering wheel.
Every thing else in the car appeared to work. When I shut the engine off, and removed the key, the radio still played on. I took the car over to the dealership first thing this morning; the service rep, the service manager and a service tech could not figure it out. I had to leave the car with them, so that one of their Electronic Certified Techs who comes in later could check it out.
They drove the car to a service bay, and disconnected the battery, so the radio would not run the battery down. When the tech came in, he reconnected the battery, and everything now works. They have no idea at all what happened.
Toyota - Electrical-wiring - Radio - Corolla :: Power Stays On After Turning Car Off
Just this evening I turned off my car (2000 Toyota Corolla), went inside and then came back out an hour or so later to discover that my radio, clock, and cigarette lighter still had power. Without the key in the ignition, I'm still able to listen to the radio, for example. This was never the case before. I had the battery replaced five days ago, but I doubt that makes a difference.... How I can fix this so that my battery doesn't drain.

Ok so this has been driving me nuts now for a couple days. When I listen to the reg radio, not noticeable. When i use xm, I switch channels and there is a very noticeable humming noise. Now the louder i turn the volume up the louder the humming gets. It makes the stations sound horrible. Not the same in FM! If i turn the car off the humming noise stays until the radio completely powers off. Everything is stock, stock NAV unit, stock speakers, no add on's. What am i missing before i go chasing gremlins. Some say its the amp, some says its the nav unit. How can i narrow down what it is?

I have an 06 350 that at one time the dash went out and I lost pw,radio, all gauges.I replaced the dash and all works, but now the radio stays on after I pull the key and lock the doors. It does not have key fob plus the dome light wont come on when door is opened. Radio stays on for about 20 min if I don't turn it off .

This started today, when I turn off the ignition and remove the key the radio stays on and the steering column does not lock. The guy at the dealership suggested spraying wd 40 into the ignition. No go.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2002 - Stuttering And Shaking At 1300 - 1700 / Radio Stays On?
I just bought my first truck ever, ended up with a 2002 F250 SuperDuty V8 5.4. I'm fairly handy with vehicles but can't seem to figure out the issues I'm having. I searched the threads and have tried a number of this solutions, but to no avail.
1) The truck runs smooth above roughly 1700 RPM, but between 1300&1700 there is a distinct stutter and shaking of the entire truck. Although the check engine light does not come on the Scanner indicates a misfire in cylinder #3 and I've replace the plugs and coil, but it's still there. Fuel filter has been recently replaced and seafoam run thru the tank and vacuum line. The mechanic at the local mom & pop shop said it is most likely a damaged valve in #3. Am I missing anything? Do you think a valve job is necessary?
2) When I got out of the truck tonight the radio stayed on, I tried the WD-40 fix (no luck), additionally checked the fuses (all in proper condition). Not sure if this relates but the auto door locks started acting up as well and the door ajar light stays on all the time. I saw a post about a "VSM" but what or where that is.
Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Dome Light Stays On / No Door Ding / Radio Won't Turn On
I have a 2003 Ford F-450 with the 7.3 Powerstroke. The problem I am having is the dome light stays on, the map lights will not turn on, I have no door ding with the key in the ignition, and the radio wont turn on. If I press the clock button on the radio the clock comes on but the radio will not come on when I press the power button. What it may be? I already hosed the door latches with lubricant and that changed nothing. I checked all the fuses they are good.

My 2002 F250 Crew/Diesel/4X4/lariat has ever since I bought it, had an electronic problem.. sometimes I start it, the heat coil light stays on, sometimes the radio won't work, the windows won't work.. then about 2 minutes later, they work, my back up alarm always comes on turned off... sometimes my fuel gauge registers weird, ....

I took a curve pretty aggressively with my worn out tires. I was neither braking nor accelerating. The skid control icon flashed a few times, but there was no beeping. I am pretty sure the flashing was from VSC activation. I thought this is accompanied with beeping from the buzzer. Has this been changed for the newer models?

At times my 08 will beep when I open the driver's door and I have the keys in my hands. The only thing I can assume is that it thinks the key is still in. On occasion this has caused my battery to go flat.
To stop it I just go through the sequence of putting the key back in, put it in D then P then foot on the brake and the off/power/start button, it took me 5 goes to get it back to normal tonight.
Prius (2010-12) :: Three Beeps Every 20 Seconds While Off
I definitely thought this was because my fob batteries were low, because 2010 Prius started beeping three beeps while driving last week, but while parked in the garage (OFF), with both fobs very far away from the car, it's beeping three beeps every 20 seconds. I even locked it using the fob, and it's still beeping every 20 seconds.
I've got two new fob batteries on order, but I worry the 12v is working overtime. What else could it be??? My sister's 2009 Prius is also parked in the driveway..
