All the service lights will blink and flash whilst driving. After turning the car off and restarting the radio and clock all reset and the dash lights are gone. The car starts right up with no problem. I checked fuses and none are blown. What may be causing this? It is a 2009 Santa Fe 2.7. It has approx. 95,000 miles. The battery is a couple of years old.
View 7 RepliesMy 2010 Santa Fe has an intermittent all window condensation problem, regardless whether the car has been idle overnight or whilst driving it has occurred on numerous occasions. In one case in the morning I had to use a towel to dry the inside windows. I have tried leaving the heater / AC on various settings but it still occurs. I have noticed that the door windows when I open / close them the seals do not touch the glass. In the short term the AC and fast windscreen/rear window buttons do clear the moisture but it does re-occur especially whilst driving...
View 6 RepliesI have a '06 santa fe 3.5L My "TCS OFF" light "ABS" light turn on and my "4WD" light starts to blink while I am driving. Also my Transmission shifts hard and the engine revs funny (hard to describe what it actually sounds and feels like) when the automatic transmission shifts from 2nd gear to 3rd gear. It shifts find from 3rd to 4th and down shifts from 3rd to 2nd just fine. Just have problems shifting from 2nd to 3rd and it only seem to happen when the lights I mentioned above turn on. What going on? Is this all being caused by a speed sensor? My ABS also seem a little touchy activating when road conditions are not that bad.
View 1 RepliesI had the service vehicle soon light come on the other day and it took out the gauge back lights, fog lights, and tail lights. Also, when I used to lock and unlock the car with the remote the exterior lights would flash, now they don't. I check all headlights and tail lights and none of them are burnt out.
View 11 RepliesI have a 2004 2.0 crtd gsi Santa fe 104k recently started cutting out whilst driving, no warning , no loss of power just cuts out, restarts after a few seconds, can do it 4 or 5 times within a couple of miles and then will go miles without any problem.
View 1 RepliesWe were on a long drive on the motorway and suddenly noticed that the dashboard lights went out. The clock and GPS map were dark. They came back on but would intermittently go off. The dealer will be checking this for us (it is a new 450h, we have now 3000 miles on it; it is 9 months old. Perhaps a loose connection ? (We love this car but still not familiar with all of the electronics!)...
View 3 Replies2000 passat GLX, tip, 2.8L v6... new brake pads and freshly turned rotors, but both the "ABS" light and the "BRAKE" lights come on intermittently whilst driving. It doesn't happen every time it's driven, just maybe 1/3-1/2 of the time, and it is only on for a bit before it turns off, but it will usually turn on again later for a short stint as well.

View 13 RepliesSanta fe 2004 - When locking the car with RC, lights did not flash. Cause was hazard light fuse. To verify this, activate the hazard lights, if they do not work at all, check the hazard light fuse. When I replaced the fuse all issues were resolved.

I would get one or two flashes, then another one or two every 1-3 mins.
First time towing a twin axle caravan with the Santa fe. towed 250 miles without any problems but on the final long uphill stretch the esp light came on. When the engine is stopped and re-started it goes out but comes back on within a mile. Also when the caravan is plugged into the electrical socket the indicators flash at normal speed but unplug it and they flash very quickly. I have read a lot on the foot brake switch being a problem and sometimes it causes the esp light to come on.
View 2 RepliesPast couple days my car has acted strange. Driving last night the check engine starts to flash. Car running smooth. I pull over and restart the car and all is fine. This morning while driving on expressway the slip light flashed 3-4 times and quit. This was on dry surface they car was definitely not losing traction.
Also it'll randomly flash message low key fob which it may be low but it only says it randomly like maybe 1X a month. I know this car is an electronic beast. Do you think my car battery is not supplying enough volts and causing these weird issues?
My 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe right hand turn signal light bulbs flash rapidly both in the front and rear, the left hand side is normal. I am trying to locate the turn signal flasher module but without any luck, looked under the dash in the fuse box and under the hood in the relay box. Is it in the relay box...
View 7 RepliesMy wife has a 2003 Pontiac Grand am GT 3.4L V6. A few days ago my wife was out and tried to start the car and the service engine light came on and began to blink. (Prior to this the car was running well with no service engine light) The car was running very rough at this point so we shut the car off and I pulled the codes at witch four codes came up witch were: P0205, p0206, p0300, p0443. So I had the car towed to the shop and they said that they thought that it was the oxygen sensor but after that had been replaced they had concluded that the oxygen sensor was not the problem so they had placed the old one back in. Then they said that they restarted the car and it was running fine but then pulled it out of the shop and began to run rough again.
At this point they were thinking that there was a short so they checked the wiring from the ecm (?) back to the oxygen sensor and could not find any problems. And needless to say they started the car and it began to run fine again so they told me to come and pick it up and drive it for the weekend just to see if it was a lose connection that was possibly there. So needless to say once I picked it up the service engine light was still on but the engine sounded good so I figured I would drive the car home and maybe the light would shut off. Well upon taking off and getting a few miles down the road the engine started to idol at 2000 rmp when in park or neutral.
So I stopped and pulled the code and got P0443 again so while I had the scan tool connected I cleared the codes to see if the light would come back on with the same code or with multiple again. The service engine light stayed off. So the high idol continued for a few miles I also did try to restart the car and the problem did persist. About 5 more miles down the road the car started to overheat and the reservoir had overheated. So at this point the engine sounds good it is not running rough but is really high idol. The check engine light did not come on since I cleared the codes in that short drive but I do not want to drive it because of the overheating. I do know that the coolant level was good when we started the car.
I disconnected the battery to clean the terminals and now the lights won't flash when I lock the doors with the remote. I guess I lost the programming, how do I change it back? I have a 2007 Sonata.
View 5 RepliesPrior to the most recent issue with our car the "service engine" light would randomly come on and off. Last week during a cold snap, my husband went into D&D and when he came out the car would not start. Triple A came, said it was the original battery and replaced it.
Then, the next day, he had a dead car after just having driven it, towed it, and the garage did a "hard reset" of electrical system. He drove it no prob for 1 day.
Then, it did not start after sitting in our driveway over night. The car would whirr when the key was turned, lights would go on, but would not start. The garage has done a electrical diag x2 with no leads. They are now going to replace the fuel pump. This seems like a huge leap. However, they said, when they "manually" tried to start the fuel pump it was dead...
Driving while in 4x4 HI up a hill the truck started to slip. I stopped, shifted to neutral, and engaged 4x4 Low. I shifted back to drive and started moving up the hill. The engine started to lose power and the "Service Engine Soon" light began to blink. I put the truck in park. As I let it run a little bit, the engine started to shake as if something was very imbalanced. I went to check under the hood, and confirmed that it was shaking quite noticeably. There was no grinding or clattering of any kind though.
I turned the truck off for a bit, and then restarted. There was no light or shaking upon starting up; but as soon as I put it in gear and started driving I could tell it was losing power, the light came back on, and the shaking ensued. This occurred in 2wd, and both 4wd lo and hi. I parked it at a neighbors place and there it sits for now.
I plan to try and get the codes read. My other vehicles can't make it through the snow we have right now, but it is suppose to get warm later today and might melt enough for me to get one out. I also live out in the country, so the nearest auto parts place is about 20 miles. Same with a dealership service shop. I'm hoping I can buy and return a code reader from an auto parts store to assess if this is something I can diagnose myself or not.
It is the 6.0l gas engine with the 4sp automatic transmission. The truck also has about 107,000 miles.
I have a 1999 F-150 w/ 4.2 V6. and auto trans, truck has 219,000 miles on chassis but only 25,000 on engine and 10,000 on trans. I've been getting obd codes p0705 and p0715. I replaced the position sensor on outside of trans. but I continue to get the codes off and on again. I noticed that the O/D "OFF" light on the shift selector blinks simultaneously when the "service engine soon" light comes on. I've noticed that there is no low gear unless I have it in D from a dead stop, and not even when downshifting manually.

View 1 RepliesMy passenger side front signal light works properly, but when I turn my hazard lights on it will not blink normally (the other 3 blink). Inside my truck when looking at my dash I see the small green blinking arrow for the left signal, but not for the right when the hazards are on. When using the signal normally, I see the small blinking green arrow for the right signal though.
