I have a problem with my Backup reverse camera, actually my tiguan not bring it with camera backup and I install and change the radio for rcd 510 bosch with backup camera port,

1. Backup camera sporadically does not come on in rear view mirror. Has already been replaced by Ford dealership.
2. Backup camera settings Visual Park Aid and Guidelines sporadically are set to 'off'
3. While truck is running, start seeing warnings/hearing chimes. Emergency Brake (which isn't set), Engine Overheating, Check 4X4, etc.
4. Truck will NOT start. Won't even attempt to turn over. When this happens, I have a radio but the LED screen is usually blank.
These sporadic issues are starting to seem to be related to the use of the emergency brake. Use of the emergency brake does not always immediately cause issues. Now that I feel like there is some kind of connection, I have been setting the e-brake when I park it (even if not needed) trying to force things to happen because Ford says if they can't make it happen they don't know where to look/what to fix. I can't always make things happen by using the e brake...but am noticing things happen more often when I DO use it and when things happen (like backup camera won't work) setting the brake will make it come on and then I can release it and back up. If it won't crank while the brake is set, releasing it will cause it to crank. The other morning when I had all the warnings/chimes going off setting the e-brake made everything go back to 'normal'.
Yesterday when I came back from lunch I parked and set the e brake (on level ground). Got in it to leave work, left e-brake set, stepped on regular brake and tried to crank....nothing but radio. Called dealership. They had me try putting the key in, pressing the regular brake, and try to move the shifter from Park to N. Shifter wouldn't move. Then asked to turn key to just get it 'active' and try again. Shifter wouldn't move. Asked me to turn the key to crank and try again. Same thing - shifter wouldn't move. Truck finally cranked after I released e brake. Came home, parked and set e brake and turned it off. It re-started right up with e brake still set.
Does the Ford emblem/camera just pop off the tailgate with a screw driver? Pry from top or bottom? I'm trying not to break anything here. I removed the tailgate panel inside and can't get any access there.
Both the camera and reverse sensors have quit working. I'm troubleshooting both but I'm not sure they are related. The camera died first but worked sometimes after slamming the tailgate. Sensors quit sometime after. Don't really care about the sensors but the camera is essential for hooking up the trailers.
I was hoping the wiring from the tailgate to the plug would be cut but that doesn't appear to be the case. I'd like to check the camera itself next. Ohm it out or something, I don't know.
I have a 2012 camry hybrid that had the stock push button radio and I wanted to add a backup camera. So I picked up a 2013 camry entune display head unit to replace the stock one without a display.
The backup camera does not work when the car is in reverse and I see that the mpg and other data does not update on the radio display, although all of the same data is displayed on the instrument cluster.
Is there anyway to view the backup camera when the car is not in reverse? During driving, while stopped, etc.?
View 14 RepliesJust bought this 11 gs350 and car is great except that the reverse camera does not activate when the car is put in reverse. The side mirrors tilt down and the rear shade will lower when put in reverse but the screen just stays on the navigation screen no flicker or black screen.. What could be the problem?
View 7 RepliesI have a weird problem with my 2006 with HID headlights and 78k miles. When I turn on the headlights, the reverse camera turns on & so do the back-up white lights. I can clear the reverse camera by pushing any button, but the back-up lights are a big problem. No codes are being seen via ODB, everything else works great, and no fuses appear to be blown.
View 15 RepliesMy reverse camera goes over the mirror, its a mirror when not in use and a camera when in reverse. The way this one is set up, the camera taps switched 12 volts at the rear of the car (tapped trailer connector for these) and the video signal runs forward (ran under headliner to center console to mirror). The monitor needs 12 volts, ground, and + 12 volts when I shift into reverse. I just read a half dozen threads where people suggested tapping into a black wire with pink stripe in the driver's kick panel. Just checked, no such wire on mine. I do not want to run a wire back from the taillight, this seems backwards since the power goes from the front of the truck to the reverse light in the taillight I just need to find the right wire. I checked the reverse relay and the fuse in the fusebox and they are both 12 volts when the truck is on, so they must be prior to the reverse switch.
View 14 RepliesI noticed that the backup camera on my IS is off centered. The distance shown between my car and the object behind it is fine. The sides are the problem!
When the 2 side lines on the screen suggest that I'm centered, I am actually closer to the left than the right side. I always turn my head when backing up anyway, but noticed this issue from day 1.
My backup camera (2013 KR) comes on in Neutral. Is this normal? Looks cool when going thru a car wash though....
View 14 RepliesMy backup camera is only working about 20% of the time with no pattern to it. When I shift into reverse I get a bright white screen with colorful vertical lines in it. Everything else about my display works fine. Is there a way to reset something on this? Every now and then it works but most of the time I get the white screen with vertical colored lines. It's a 2006 package #8 with 63k.
View 13 RepliesWent to back out of the driveway yesterday and no picture on my nav screen. It switched to the camera screen but it is just black. I unplugged the connection at the rear of the truck before the tailgate and plugged it back in. Everything seemed fine with the connection. I also have a lock pick installed but if I remember correctly the camera still plugs directly into the nav unit.

So i am guessing its a fuse. I looked at the fuse box on the driver side, but can't seem to find the appropriate fuse.
I recently bought aftermarket CCD camera kit from eBay for my 2014 Prius-II and got it installed by best-buy geek squad. But camera is not working due to power problem. According to best buy technician, Prius factory harness is not supplying power when car is put in reverse gear. I am not sure how to address this problem.

View 4 RepliesI am curious; is it NOT suppose to beep when BSM has detected a car and you try to put blinker on? Mine just blinks the icon on the mirror, which is not nearly as noticeable as a audible sound. Also, what about the backup camera? Obviously, this car has sensors... but why don't the beep?
View 12 RepliesI have a 2013 F350 Lariat. Recently, the backup camera has stopped working about 1/3rd of the time. When it doesn't work, a yellow triangle icon appears on the screen with " Camera unavailable. See dealer." The dealer has checked it, twice, and is unable to locate the problem.
View 13 RepliesSo when I got my car a couple months ago there was this problem where the backup camera wouldn't come on every now and then when I shifted into reverse so I decided to get it fixed under warranty. the dealership said the problem had to do with the whole infotainment system or something so they gave me a whole new center console and navigation screen for some reason but after I got my car back a couple days ago it was working fine up until today where the back up camera won't even come on at all anymore. I've driven the car about 5 different times today and the backup camera never came on once.
View 3 RepliesWell we got our first snowfall here and since buying the Tiguan and I had to clean windshields this morning. Go to lift the wipers off the windshield to clean under them and "THUNK"; they don't lift higher than a couple of inches above the windshield and they certainly don't stay there while I'm trying to scrape, brush, clear off snow and ice. The hinge on the wiper arm is below/under the trailing edge of the hood! This is a horrible design flaw.
Not mention that when knowing that we are going to get horrible freezing rain/snow, I would typically lift my wipers while away from the car so they would not freeze to the windshield. Clearly I cannot do this on the Tig.
This design flaw will lead to faster wearing of wiper blades through ice not being cleared and blades being frozen to the windshield in wet turning to freezing weather, a fairly common occurrence here. Like last night.
How do those of you in wintery climes deal with this issue? Is it only on the face-lifted '12s and '13s?
