I just picked up a new 07 Touareg and on my first night cruising my new ride, I got this indication for something regarding AFS and VEH. WALLET on my display. Then the light bulb failure light will shows.

It just says check light and more often than not, goes off again after a couple of days as in the latest episode. Am I missing something, or is that just the way it is? I do not have a VCDS.
View 7 RepliesI have been to the dealer 3 times so far because of something to do with the lighting system. The MFD says "AFS Inoperative" and the indicator light flashes for bulb failure or malfunction in the adaptive front lights system.
The dealer has replaced a bulb and power module thus far, but it hasn't fixed the malfunction. The indicator light and warning comes on 4 out of 5 times I drive the car and usually within the first few minutes of driving. It occurs with our without the lights on.
The lights do work at all times, but I don't think the adaptive steering/lighting is working when the error occurs.
Alright riddle me this my friends. Have an 04 V8 with about 6000 miles. This evening I was leaving a friends house and I turn on the ignition and I get a warning light indicating a bulb is out. Well it was my passenger side main beam! I thought xenons were to last much longer than standard bulbs.
Well anyway I go and get some dinner, and on the way out of the restaurant I hit the button and both lights come on! So they now seem to work fine, but why did the one bulb shut down for a while?
My T-rex was in recently for what seemed like 30 recalls... In the midst of it...my turn signal light bulb went out. They changed it...good thing cause you need to remove the ENTIRE headlight assembly with a special tool, etc. Well...my headlight now goes on/off as it hits bumps etc...was back in once to have it fixed...and has since started again. I noticed the entire assembly does not fit as well (tight) as it did originally, nor like the other assembly that has never been touched. Appears to have been the first assembly they have worked on and broke something cause now it does not mount properly...so after all that...
Had this headlight assembly removed?
Over the weekend when starting up my '04 Treg I noticed on the dashboard display the following warning sign "WHEEL FAILURE". Does any one have a clue what that may be? Once started moving the display only showed the little circle sign that you get when the tire pressure monitor senses that one tire has lower than usual pressure. After driving for more than one hour that sign went off. This morning the same warning came on again.

View 1 RepliesThe rear (right) brake light failed per the heads-up display and is confirmed not working on my FSI v8; nothing lights-up when I depress the brake pedal, but all lights are lit when the lights are on. The dealer is a 3hrs drive; thus I was wondering if this could be a common fuse issue that could be fixed sans going to the dealer?
View 2 RepliesI got a loud beep and MFI warning "Brake Light Failure" indicating my bulb was out in the right rear brake light. A friend was behind me, I called his cell phone and he said, yup, its out. Then after a few mins of driving, the warning went off and the brake light was again functioning. This has then happened to me twice more over the course of about a week. The brake light still works, but I get a failure and warning sporadically.
View 2 RepliesThe "Bulb Warning" light came on in my 07 B6 Wagon. Checked all the lights and no bulbs are out, but when I switch to Hi Beams they both come on and then a few seconds later they go off. Need to pull the stalk back and then put them on again, but again in a few seconds they go off and revert to low beams. I have the HID headlights, but the Hi Beams are conventional.
What may be causing this? If it's a bad bulb, is it possible to change just the conventional Hi Beam bulbs myself??
Got a check brake light warning in the display today, I assume one on the brake lights are out and need to be changed. Is this a simple plug and play change, and are the brake lights in the tailgate or rear quarters.
View 1 RepliesI had the light and sound show pop up on the display of my 00 2.8 wagon this week. The ABS light, the brake light and occasionally the TC light combined with a big STOP in the display and Brake Failure.
I took it to my local and he did a quick scan and the ABS computer isn't communicating, indicating it's fried.
The little mark on the control knob to select air flow is unlit at night with the headlights on in my 2007 Camry LE. Apparently there is a bulb in there somewhere which needs to be replaced. How to change that bulb and get an indicator at night so that I can position the knob in the correct position?

View 6 Repliesi drive a 2007 XC90 V8 with 76000miles and recently i got a power system failure message and battery light went on , so took it to my mechanic and he tested the car and it was tuning out 11volts so he concluded it was the alternator, so he recommended changing the regulator and i got a new regulator made by Bosch and it was installed and upon starting the message came back on and the battery light as well and upon testing it was producing 15.4volts , now its overcharging , what do i need to do ? should i buy another regulator ? as my mechanic says alternators hardly ever get damaged but the regulator is the one that usually gets damaged...

I ordered and replaced all the LEDs in the car and the license plate LEDs as well. Now I got that damn orange bulb on my dash. Anyway to clear it?
View 4 RepliesMy turning light needs a bulb replacement (I believe, since when I click to turn right it makes quicker clicking sounds). Does this mean bulb is out or wiring is out?
As for the side light (also on the right) has fallen off and can no longer be screwed back in place as that part has broken off so I will be buying the replacement part/lamp. However, when it fell, the wiring was disconnected so i have lost the bulb and any connection to it. I think I still have the rubber wiring harness, just missing the wiring & bulb.
The left side light bulb on the overhead reading light console is burned out. How do I remove the lens or open the cover to replace this bulb?

View 6 RepliesGot these codes after my check engine light came on.Cleared the light with my OBD2 scanner several time but it kept coming back on. One week at the dealer who replaced a 'sensor' after vegging it and talking to the VW Tech line! Light came back on the same day I picked up the Touareg from the dealer :confused. Dealer thinking about what to do next.
