All the sudden today all the dash indicators died & the seatbelt indicator light is flashing. It drove OK, but something is definitely wrong. Fuse maybe?
2013 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax Diesel.
My hazard, reverse don't work. The over all instruments panel light doesn't light up (the small bulbs work). Gauges with needles work. I'm putting every thing back into the truck. I left the steering wheel resting on the floor while cleaning and also left the wiring in. Everything else came out because I had to clean out the smell of mice. After I installed the instrument panel I started the truck, there was no hazard lights. I checked all the fuses under the dash. I checked all the fuses under the hood.
I did have a bent brake plug blade to bend straight. I need to replace a bad key cylinder, you can turn it without a key. I believe there were three plugs I unplug to lower the steering wheel. Park brake, brake pedal and a plug under the steering wheel. Wipers, interior ceiling light work. I believe there's a switch on the column (?) that includes the wiper arm. Should it also operate the hazard lights ? The steering column is installed, I can drive it around. Outside cargo lights won't go off, even with the light switch pushed in. Everything worked before.

Blower is not working, but LED fan speed on dash shows it is. I've check all fuses and they are okay. This is dual-climate control, and neither works.
My father was driving his 2007 sport trac limited on his way home tonight and all of a sudden he lost all of the instruments in the gauge cluster. At the same time all the indicator lights came on. the truck kept running along with the air conditioning and radio, just lost the instrument cluster. almost like when you first turn the key on before starting. when he got home and turned the truck off, it would not re-start. when you turned the key on even the odometer was blank. when you tried to start it it wouldnt even try to crank. i unhooked the battery and hooked it back up. after about 5 key cycles of not starting like previously, it finally started.
View 1 RepliesThis afternoon my instruments (speedo, Odo, Tach, fuel, and temp) stopped working. At first they were stuck in the position where they stopped. Got home and found a fuse labeled "cluster." Pulled and replaced it and all that happened was that the needles dropped to zero when I started engine again. Is there another fuse besides the one labeled "Cluster" in the box near the driver door?

So we've tried to get this fixed in the past, we know a mechanic who has tried multiple times to fix this himself.
So here's the issue: All of the meters, lights, everything on the dashboard very rarely work(if they do they go back off while driving). If you hit the top of the dash hard enough, they will all sometimes come on and then go back off after an unpredictable amount of time.
My airbag light won't go away, and everytime i pass 25mph my dash says airbag fault. Is this another sensor that went out?
View 4 RepliesThere's an ad for a car quite far away from me and one of the photos shows the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Is this normal during power-up or is it normal when there's something quite wrong?! There is no red triangle of doom shown; I'm unsure if that might be out of shot though. Car is quite high mileage with just over 270,000 km on the clock and is from 2006.
View 2 RepliesI have an 04 Prius that recently had the HV battery rebuilt with replacement of a couple of cells. It now is showing dash lights of Red Triangle, Small Exclamation, and VSC. Error codes are coming up on techstream v9 as :
P3000 curr
P0A84 hist
C1310 curr
C1311 curr
(all 4 of the above have asterixes by them )
B1421 curr (no asterix)
The car is running perfectly and seems to be fine.
This worked in my '13, but in my '15 I can't customize the tip-down angle per the owner's manual. All you are supposed to do is adjust the mirror to the position you want it while in reverse; that position is supposed to be memorized. Not happening; next time I shift to reverse the mirror goes to the default position.
View 14 RepliesI've noticed that when I'm seemingly close to an object on the right front, it doesn't set off the tone or show the symbol in that location. I don't know if the sensors on the right front are not working or if the sensitivity there is decreased, or if I'm just not getting too close to anything on the right front (don't think so).
View 2 RepliesI have Hyundai Santa Fe, 2009 (automatic). when I start engine in the morning everything is fine except the reverse gear. the reverse gear moves to position easily but the car does not move. After 5 minutes of starting engine, the reverse gear works again.
View 1 RepliesI'm having Dodge Neon 2000 manual transmission. Suddenly the reverse gear stopped working (others working). I got it towed to my regular mechanic (used to charge comparatively lower than other local shops) and he said one of the shifter cable is broken and other one is stretched. Need too replace them. Is it worth it? (It's an old car and recently I've been spending a lot on this).

Now, to set some things straight, my transmission works fine. The small screen lights up in blue when the lights are lit, but the actual gears are not shown both with light or without light.
I checked my Fuses and all seem well. What could be the issue?
I have a 2006 gmc 1500hd with the 6.0l the tranny went on it so we replaced it with a brand new one that was installed by a dealer, well it works fine except when you go out in the morning and go to back out of the driveway it wont move but if i put it in park and let it warm up for 10 min and try again it works fine we have had it back at the dealer to have it looked at and they said its fine so i took it somewhere else and they said its fine. ive changed the tranny filter and fluid spent about a grand having it looked at and cant figure it out

I got the code 44 witch it could be a o2 sensor but tomorrow I'm getting my catalytic converter took off and run straight pipe do I still need a o2 sensor without a catalytic converter or what's causing lean exhaust?

View 1 RepliesI recently started having problems with my 98 GMC Sierra c1500. I'll be driving and all the sudden it will jerk as if it's shifted from 5th to 1st gear, but the revs don't go up, they drop to about 600 like it is about to die and then it go back to normal revs. It only does this while I'm on the gas and very rarely at idle. I don't know if it could be the transmission or something is blocking fuel from the engine.
View 5 RepliesI have a 97 Sierra with a 4.3 in it. The truck has 236,000 miles on it.
The truck ran great up to a couple days ago. My father in law was driving it and he said he started it, put in gear to drive off and it just died. It will not start now. The fuel pump is priming when you first turn the key. I haven't had a chance to look at it, but my FIL said he pulled a couple plug wires and there is no spark.
I've been doing some reading online and I've seen bad crank sensor as a good possibility. Is this a common problem? I'm not wanting to sink a ton of money into this truck with its mileage.
I have a 96' 1500ec with 5.7L and auto trans. I have been fighting an ongoing code of multiple misc. cyl. misfire. I noticed a hesitation only when I start out in first gear, once it shifts or if I start out in second it's smooth. I have 138,000 on the odometer. Code-0300 with the mmcm , how about timing, distributor or stretched timing chain?
