We just bought a used 2007 Mazda CX-7 in Dec 2010. Three times that I've parked the car, only me, no witnesses, and used the remote lock & alarm set, I've come back to car after shopping to find the two front windows down. The first time I thought I must have left them down but it's happened two more times, twice when it's been at night and cold so that I would not be driving with windows down.
View 3 RepliesOccasionally and randomly, my front two windows will lower themselves. Most of the time... all the way. But sometimes only half way. Both windows lower at the same time to the same degree. This happens only when parked and unattended, not when the engine is running or someone is in the car. It has happened in parking lots (outside) and also in my own locked garage with no one around. Sometimes the car is locked and sometimes (in my garage) it is unlocked. My Nissan dealer has no idea what is causing this nor how to correct it.

View 4 RepliesI have a Jetta 4.5, as you know this cars has a function that when the windows are open and you lock the car, if you keep pressing the lock button in keys of your car, the windows automatically closes.
The last week my car was full washed, the engine and everything, actually the Radio went into 02 Safe mode but I did a trick to fix it, but my windows are still with that issue.
About a month ago, I noticed my 2007 Mazda3 making a rattling noise whenever the front passenger window is anywhere from cracked to almost all the way down. When the window is up or all the way down, there is no noise. When the door is in it's "sound-prone" state, I can replicate the sound either by going over a bump or just pulling and pushing on the door interior door handle. I've looked this up online and it seems to be pointing toward me needing a new window regulator. I haven't noticed any function loss, just the rattling sound that makes it sound like the car's falling apart. Does this seem like the right thing to try? What would cause the regulator to malfunction after only four years? Should I buy new or look for it at the local salvage yards? If it matters, my Mazda3 has electric windows.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2008 LS460L and the front driver's and passenger's windows have wind noise, sometimes worse than others. I also drove a 2007 which experienced the same problem. It is still under warranty, but not sure if there is anything which can be done. Not sure how a car with doubled panned windows can have so much wind noise.

Car has been acting weird from past one week or 10 days. Outside temperature is around 25- 40 Fahrenheit.
I park my car in my home garage. It started fine in garage in morning, drove to work and parked in open parking lot for about 8 hours. Evening it did not start in the first try, it started at 4th time. I thought it might be weather and battery.
Next day morning it started fine in garage at 2nd start. Same problem in evening it would start at 4-5th time. Then I looked at my car battery and it was installed 2 years ago 3/2014.
I went to Walmart where my car battery was installed and they tested and said it is fine and has no problem with car battery. Just to make sure I took to nearby autozone they said that car battery is fine.
Over the weekend I left my car in our garage and was starting it every day morning to make sure if its working fine. It started fine and left it ON for about 45 minutes, everything is fine.
Today Sunday evening the weather outside was good around 55F. Went to some store for grocery shopping and returning back it started at 4th time.
When ignition key is turned ON, all the lights on dash board,radio,lights are fine and when I turn on the car it does not give any sound ( no cranking or anything) it was completely dead.Took the key out and waited for 5 minutes and tried again, with little cranking sound it started at 3rd try.
Took car to autozone for free testing and they said Car battery is good and when they asked me to start the car,it again did not start first time. They jump started my car and it started.
They are suspecting it might be alternator. What baffles me is why does the car start in 2nd try when parked in garage over night and does not start when parked outside in parking for about 45 minutes.
(Starter was replaced for the above car 2 years ago).
My wife is out of town and while she parked her 1997 Mazda B Series pick up truck this morning she stated that her truck continued to roll while parked on a very slight incline. The vehicle was in gear so she put the emergency brake on. Could the clutch be slipping although she said it seemed to be shifting fine. She has to drive back 3 hours over the rolling hills of Nevada and is very concerned that something else could be wrong. What could I have her check besides the clutch fluid?
View 5 RepliesI just had the 30,000 mile service at a dealership, replaced a leaking water pump, front and rear brakes. The car has just 30k miles on it so it hasn't needed anything major despite being 10 years old. Once I got it back the front windows and windshield are fogging up. It doesn't seem to matter if the car just started or has been going for a while. We have had temperature changes and humidity changes in the weather, neither makes a difference. I have to drive with the windshield defrost on all the time. The dealer said it isn't anything they did, but it started immediately after I got it back. Is it possible that they knocked something and broke it?
View 10 RepliesI used to drive a Merc and a Porsche and their front sensors switch on automatically when the vehicle speed is below a certain threshold say 10kmh. Can I somehow also make the front switches on automatically when the car is slow? Right now, the front sensors only switch on when in reverse or when the button next to the tranny is pressed. They switch off automatically when a certain forward speed is reached.

Only goes up if I lock car from outside with key. Tried to (temporarily) remove fuse for power windows so I can drive to work (it's cold), removed fuse, windows did not operate, but car would not start.
View 2 RepliesI noticed while parked under the sun for a while the front bumper expands, fully exposing the small cut outs or tabs usually hidden under the head lights. I brought it in to get checked out and being told that every clip and screw are in the right place. Later on that day I met with the mechanic, he explained that the bumper is a little different as far as mounting goes compared to other vw's leaving a weak spot.

So two fill-ups ago... the mileage range on the display showed like 410 miles, when I usually get ~380 miles.
The next fill-up said 380 miles, which was normal; but the tank was near empty at 340 total miles (driven + miles left). Noticed that gas cap "sticks" when tightening to 1-click. Used to click freely and "unclick". Now, it kind of makes a muted click and I have to manually back it up a little for a muted "unclick",
I fill-up the last time, and it says 340 miles range, and the needle was showing only ~7/8 of a tank. Driving it for a day and the total range (driven + miles left) is ~315 miles.
So... is the fuel level sensor (or whatever does that) broken? Is the filler neck damaged? Is the tank vent clogged? Is my gas cap messed up? Hopefully it's not something wrong with the engine or something.
My 08 LS 460 use to have the a/c come on automatically every time. But now, I have to set it manually after each stop or engine turn off. Is it a fuse, sensor or ??
View 2 RepliesA few days ago the 12V battery of my Prius II went flat. We got the car to start by connecting it with the 12V battery of another car.
Since then we have got a problem when we raise the front glass on the driver side automatically: if we trigger it so that it automatically goes all the way to the top it will no longer stop at the highest position. It will instead raise to the top, then go back down and stop at the middle.
We can still raise the glass by manually using the button and stopping manually at the right moment.
I am guessing that the car does not "remember" what is the correct "highest position" of the glass, and that this memory was lost because of the battery discharge. Any way to "teach" this to the car again ?
Last night I was sitting in my living room when I heard what I thought was a tire blowing out in my driveway - loud pop/hiss. Went outside but didn't see any flat tires, so I went to bed. This morning I got in the car and started backing out of the driveway but got the alert "Vehicle Too Low" - got out and saw that my front tires were almost touching the inside of the wheel wells. Trying to change the ride height via the suspension button has no effect at all.
I'm super bummed - I've always said that because of the cost to repair, a strut failure in the amazing air suspension would probably be what did this car in. But I didn't expect it to happen so soon - I'm "only" at 129k miles. It happened in my driveway and not 60 minutes earlier while I was doing 75 MPH on the highway.

Why my headlight is not automatic turning off when i used the keyfob to lock the doors? it used to turn it off right the way (that's what I rememeber) but now I lock the door by the remote and its still on for like 5 min.. isn't normal!
View 2 RepliesMy 2006 Ram 2500 w/Auto Trans leaks ATF when parked with the front end downhill. On the level its okay. Looking under the vehicle, it appears to be leaking where the dipstick tube enters the case at the front of the transmission. The tube is held to the case by a single bolt and apparently there are other bolts higher up that I can't easily see. I'd like to remove the dipstick tube and replace the gasket or whatever seal that seems to have failed.
What seals the tube at the trans case? Gasket? O-ring? Silicon glue?
My P sits lower (about 2 inch) in the front after the car is parked for about an hour. No code on VAG-COM. No warning lights nor messages. What could this problem be? It started about a month ago. It actually occurs slowly just a few mins after I turn the engine off. It would go back to its normal height after I unlock the car with the remote or after I start the car.
