I had abortion on 8th Feb. For one week I had bleeding like normal periods. After that, I see blood spots everyday. Its been 21 days now n I can see blood spots. Is it normal?
View 1 RepliesOn February 17th I had an appointment for the medical abortion procedure. They gave me an ultrasound and concluded that I was 8 weeks and 3 days, so I qualified for the non-invasive option. They supplied me with a pill there, 2 pills for 24 hrs later and also prescription strength ibuprofen. Things went as they did, and presumably well, at that...considering. I started bleeding within 4 hrs of taking the second set of meds... At first heavy, then tapered down. I was at most spotting after the first 2 days, and that lasted for about 10 days. I concluded myself that this was successful and the symptoms of pregnancy seemed to disappear shortly after.
This morning I called the clinic because I was concerned with not having my period arrive. It had been at least 9 weeks since the pills had been taken and I wasn't entirely clear on how long it would take due to everyone's body being different. I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. They had me come in today in a rush, concerned that either it failed or I was pregnant with a second. I received another ultrasound and it surely came back as a failed medical abortion. I am now 17 weeks and a couple odd days. The technician seemed amazed and perplexed, as I am just an emotional mess... Contemplating all options from this point on. She said that I would be putting myself in danger if I decided to continue with the pregnancy. She also stated that it would not be fair to the child due to possible birth defects, etc. She has arranged for me to have the invasive surgery in 2 days to remove the baby and I am scared more than ever.
i been off the nuvaring for 5 months and my period is not normal. i just spot brown spots every month for like 3 days. when will it become regular again

After 5 hours i feel something in my underwear it was like a jelly with brown blood then red blood came out and then spotting only. After 4 hours the bleed was so heavy and pass 2 small clots and then 1 big large cloth the bleed was heavy for 3 hours and pass another 2 medium size clots. After that the bleed was lessen the following day i only spotting brown blood. Then totally stop the bleed on 3rd day. I feel relief but i doubt if my abortion was successful its been 11 days now since my abortion done i only pass thick yellow discharge minimal. The symptoms are gone but still i have heartburns and fast pulse rate. Im very confused right now is my abortion successful?
View 1 Replies3 weeks I broke my humerus in 3 spots and had surgery to have a plate and screws installed after that I was sent home with a one week prescription to pain meds and I ran out last week so this past week has been hell, lots of pain. I see the surgeon in 2 days any chance he'll prescribe me more meds for the pain or do I gotta live like this for who knows how long?

I stepped behind a tree, and took my penis out through my zipper(though not all the way) and started to urinate, but clearly my penis was constricted by my underwear as I could not urinate. I adjusted, and then was able to 'finish'. Later, when I got home, I noted spots of blood in my underwear. I urinated later, and though there was no blood in my urine, I have a SLIGHT burning sensation around the tip of my penis. Did I break a blood vessel ?

The doctor told me that I could get pregnant again as early as 2 weeks after the abortion, but I want to know if it's likely or possible cause i'd be more fertile, to be pregnant. He didn't ejaculate inside of me, but there's always a chance of pre-cum. I haven't had my period yet, and it's been 30 days. I also took a home pregnancy test and results are negative. I received the methotrexate shot on Thursday, and on Saturday morning I inserted 4 misoprostol pills vaginally. A few hours later, I got some pretty bad cramping (wouldn't call it severe, but definitely like a really bad period). A few hours later, they completely went away besides the occasional discomfort. I had no bleeding (or spotting, not a drop), so I went to bed hoping to wake up in a puddle of mess (never thought I'd HOPE for that).
I woke up this morning with still no blood. Took the second dosage in the morning and again, 12 hours later, NOTHING. I don't even have cramping (very mild discomfort, but I think I just feel that way because I'm expecting pain or something. Might all just be mental).
This has been a really rough few days for me (I found out I was pregnant the same day I received the shot) and the idea of having to perform a surgical abortion after all of this seems unbearable. Has anyone done a medical abortion and didn't have blood/ bad pains until DAYS after?
I had a medical abortion about 3 weeks ago. Last week (two weeks after the abortion) i took a pregnancy test which was negative meaning that everything went how it should have.
Also last week, my boyfriend and I 'had sex'. I wouldn't really call it having sex as he only went inside of me for about a minute (no ejaculation inside of me) two times we've done it, and used a condom and the ejaculation took place outside of my vagina the third time (no, it wasn't all in one day just in case that matters).
Today, about a week after our first intercourse since i had the abortion, my nipples hirt a little when touched. My question is, what are the chances that I'm pregnant again?
i am 4weeks pregnant i had an abortion pill called mifepristone and misoprostol firstly i took mifepristone and i feel a little pain in my abdomen after 48hrs i took another 2 tablet of misoprostol and still the bleeding dnt happen, and so after 4hrs i took another 2 tablet of misoprostol, but still the bleeding dnt happen... its been 24hrs now.... and i don't have any pain bt i feel sleepy the whole day.... is my pill not working or?
View 1 RepliesSurgery was 'success' they were originally planning on putting a bracket on the posterior side but said my bone structure wouldn't allow it or something.
So it was mainly an ALIF but they did go through the back to do some bone grafting, so I have incisions on both sides.
So far so good on recovery, obviously very ginger but have been up and moving since 24 hours after and was in hospital for 2 1/2 days.
Have used painkillers when needed but I plan to take it very easy and not push anything. Doing my regular exercises / walking each day has worn me out pretty good but overall so far so good. ANy questions let me know and I will keep updating this thread over the next couple weeks.
So I took the abortion pill, which resulted as successful. However, weeks later I was walking in my house and felt something moving out of my vagina, similarly to how I would feel the tissue and such while on my period, but significantly more. I ran to my bathroom thinking I was getting my period at an off time due to the abortion, but there was a large glob of tissue and blood that had exited my body. After that, there was nothing for a week or so later when I started getting my actual menstrual cycle again. Was this a result of the abortion? Is it normal?

Since abortion is illegal where we are that's the only way to obtain it. I took 4 tablets and then another 4 tablets after 3 hours both orally on the first day. Nothing happens. Then the next day i took 4 tablets again orally and 2 tablets vaginally. Still nothing happens after 6 hours so i took 3 orally again and 1 vaginally the same day. But after all that i didn't feel any cramping, pain or heavy bleeding. I only had light bleeding but its so light it looks like just a tinge of blood in the water. I don't know what to do now. Was there a possibility the cytotec we got was fake or the cytotec just takes a long time to take effect?
View 2 RepliesSurgery was 13DEC. Today is the 15th day post op for a right ankle arthroscopic debridement, microfracture, and lateral ligament Brostrom procedure.
Last night due my "support" person taking a "personal day" I took it upon my self to take out the trash. I had my first post op this past Monday and the stitches were removed. I'm suppose to be NWB for 6 weeks post op and as of Monday wearing my aircast 24/7 except for showering.
I'm now wondering if I screwed the microfracture up. There is no increase in pain or swelling.
Small background- My husband is my support person but he has decided that he wants a divorce and a social life. Since my surgery he has found it necessary to stay the night at a hotel for at least 4 nights and be gone all day. His response is that he isn't here to babysit me or sit with me 24/7. We have a 6 year old home on winter break as well. We are in Minnesota with no family close and of course it's the middle of winter.
I have just had 3 hemorrhoids worked on by THD surgery. This was done Thursday (and Saturday). I am on 2 sachets a day of movicol to soften stools but have not passed anything yet. I am eating fruit and little bit of other stuff such as digestive biscuits a little bit of bread etc. is there anything else I can do to help? When is pushing straining? I tried to go earlier and worryingly passed a jelly like lump of something?
The pain is manageable with occasional paracetamol or ibuprofen.
I've recently undergone a circumcision and have some queries however the surgeon who performed the surgery is on annual leave for a week. A few days after the procedure I noticed something wasn't quite right so I went to ED and as suspected had an infection. Would the fact that I had an infection mean that it could heal slower/incorrectly. I ask as one side of the stitches seems to be a little stretched and not sitting as tight as the other side. I was also prescribed oral antibiotics as well as an antibiotic cream by the ED doctor. I was told to take the oral antibiotics for 5 days but was given enough for 10 days by the pharmacist. Would there be any harm in taking the antibiotics for the full 10 days?

Today however I went to the loo and passed enough to make the pan red without straining too much. 4 hours later I passed more with a lump of non poo material in it. Would this be a tied off roid? Bleeding stopped very quickly and no pain. Any ideas?

It is now 3 April 2016 so it has been 4 days since my op. I had no pain the first 2 days and then the local anesthetic wore off!
Now it is excruciatingly painful. I have found that bathing in a little lukewarm water with 2 hands of salt for 15 minutes help a lot.
And for constipation you can go to your local pharmacy and buy an enima ask them for one that you can drink!
Trust me it is much better than to put a tube up your sore bum!!! The doctor can also prescribe a numbing ointment that helps a lot!!

One question i have is it normal to still have the swollen loose skin on the outside of your anus?
I ceased heavy pain medication a couple of weeks ago and that was a mistake. I am back on Norspan 10 mg patches and can now do all my exercises and achieve a few hours sleep before I need to top up with a Tramadol. I've lost 12 kgs in weight simply because my appetite diminished but now I'm trying to eat 3 meals a day and include protein at every meal instead of nibbling and feeling like I want to sleep all day.
I am allergic to many pain medications (unknown until post op) so pain was a big issue for me. If you are contemplating TKR's or have already had them, then get your pain medication stabilised and physio will be so much easier. I have also found hydrotherapy (pool walking) to be a god-send. Today is the first day post op that I feel any where like normal. I was a fit, energetic 63 year year old before my op and I hope to return to that state with much improvements in my knees, in the near future. I believe I will be looking at 6 months recovery time before I can resume a "normal" exercise program of spin, walking, boxing and weights.
No one tells you about the pain, the depression, the disruption to your life, especially not your surgeon. Just be patient, eat well, try to get a walk in each day or a swim and stay positive. At nearly 10 weeks I can see the light at the end of that long tunnel.
I'm 15 days post op. I had heavy bleeding when I left hospital which lasted a few days then stopped. Then yesterday I started bleeding again it's not as heavy as pre op but heavy enough. I wondered if anyone experienced this post op
