There any contraceptive which is suffice to take only once or twice to prevent pregnancy before sex? As we are planing to do unprotected sex once just to have an experience of it. Also tell me when and how many days before she should take it?

View 1 RepliesI started my first pack of combined pills (Rigevidon) on Monday 14 July. I got a mild diarrhoea the next day. For a week, I have experienced decreased appetite, stomachaches, sharp stabbing pain in central abdomen and discomfort after eating. Is it common to have cramps when first starting oral contraceptives? I am worried that it can be a sign of pregnancy as I had protected sex (just condom)on 19 June. I took one urine pregnancy test last thursday and one today (4 weeks and 2 days since intercourse)Both are negative. Also, will i be less protected on the first pack of the pills? Will having digestive problems like the above make the pills less effective?
View 1 Repliesi had sex with my gf but it was not intercourse as i had not ejaculated in her. we did it on 18th sept. and it was the 6th and last day of her menstrual cycle. her periods had stopped the previous day. it was unprotected though nothing was ejaculated and we did it for maybe 5 mins or less. she also took unwanted 72 within 3 hours. is there any chance of pregnancy? and is there any need to take pregnancy test? and also is another dose of unwanted 72 required?

View 2 RepliesI consider myself to still be new to taking the pill as a form of birth control. Just when I think I have it figured out, something new would happen which would make me doubt it's effectiveness.
I am currently using Chateal, which contains 21 active pills and 7 placebo pills. After 6 months of taking it as directed, I assume my body should be used to the side effects. I would get nausea from taking it so I switched to taking it at night. I have been taking it that way for 3 months now.
But I have noticed since first started taking it, I would get severe cramps and backaches during the second week of the pack for a few days. I assumed I was ovulating while on the pill because I noticed my cervical mucus changes throughout the month. My understanding though is the pill is to prevent ovulation thus preventing pregnancy.
Can you ovulate while on the pill? Is my birth control pill type too low of a dose for me? Could it be something else?
I have been on Sertraline 50mg for 6 weeks, I saw my therapist and she asked how I felt, I told her I did not feel any different, she contacted my Dr. and the Dr. upped my dose to 200mg, this has frightened me, a leap from 50mg to 200mg, has anyone had this outcome, and what were the pro's and con's of this sudden higher dose.

They make 4 dose in Ukraine and I come to my home (Istanbul) and 5. dose is finished. But total five doses of vaccine are made in Turkey. I do not understand why they want to dose 6. I have a healthy body. 6. dose is important? OR optional?

View 4 RepliesSince I have PCOS, I am on contraceptives now. The tablets which I take had suited me well. Recently just while on the second day of contraceptives I had unprotected sex with my partner. After 2 weeks suddenly I have started feeling unwell. I am having nausea and then vomiting, stomach started feeling heavy, etc. It feels like all energy is being sucked out of my body. Can anyone help me why suddenly it is happening? I would also like to mention that within this 2 week time span I missed out my pill one day. Am I pregnant or is it a possibility that the medicine is doing something wrong

View 48 RepliesI know this is going to sound strange, but I seriously want to know if anyone here has the answer to this question. I am going to be 55 yrs old in March. I have been on birth control pills most my life, but I went to a new doctor (GYN) years ago, and she told me that I didn't need to be on them because there was no possible way I could become pregnant at 53 without medical intervention.
I left her office happy until my sister told me that the doctor is WRONG and that I could get pregnant at 55! I don't have any idea if I have been through menopause, but I've not had any signs if I have. I called the doctors office back and talked to my previous doctor who wouldn't "confirm" if I could or couldn't, but she suggested I take the mini-pill (progesterone only). I am really sick of the pill and wanted to just stop taking it, but don't want to be foolish. Does anyone here know if this is a fact or not that at 55 I wouldn't be able to become pregnant anyway if off of the pill?
After taking 4tabs after unprotected sex after 120 hours and 4 tabs again after 12 hours? What would be the next time to take the emergency pill? And what dose?

I went to the doctors 3 weeks ago with red patches under me foreskin and a single spot on the head. Doctor diagnosed a fungal infection and prescribed canesten 2%. 3 weeks later, it's not getting better. If anything, it's getting worse and I'm starting to worry now. I've never had unprotected sex and I haven't had any sex in a few years.
