I found a lump that felt like a pimple but on the inside of my skin it was really hard like a boil it got to painful so so I popped it had white pus inside then I squeezed it more it started to bleed now today is starting to just be clear is this a sign for being a boil ....
View 1 RepliesThe other day I found a small lump on my labia majora (no larger than a pinky fingernail), and taking a closer look at it, it seems to be a spot or boil of some form, though there doesn't seem to be a head. It's red around the area, a little painful and it seems to have some pus like liquid just under the skin.
After having a hot soak this morning it appeared to have had a pin prick sized hole and yellowy fluid started seeping out. I'm unsure if I should continue squeezing it to get the pus out, or put some tissue on it and wait to see a doctor.
It hurts when I sit down and sometimes when I walk. I have used a hot washcloth for compresses, I have used cold water to help maybe the swelling go down, I have even put a heating pad between my legs applying pressure on it when I sleep. I only noticed it a few days ago and thought it was an ingrown hair. I haven't had any sexual activity since October. It hurts to itch and touch it. It even hurts when I wipe after using the restroom. I'm trying as many home remedies as possible before telling my doctor because at the moment we are still trying to figure out if I'm going to have a strong pregnancy or not and I don't want anything getting infected.

View 1 RepliesHave any of you ladies experienced a bartholin cyst that could've been questionable for herpes? How to tell the difference? I had some ache down in that area for a month when I would squeeze my legs together while sitting cross legged. Then one week was some slight itching and I looked, on the inside of the opening of vagina on left side was a marble sized like white ulcer, i went in to get it swabbed and it hurt when she swabbed it. The swab came back negative for herpes. It has since been 6 weeks and there is still some healing happening. Blood test for herpes came back negative but tested again and am waiting for results. We're anyone of you thinking herpes when you got your first Barth cyst? ( infected one) I think if it was bartholin cyst it was an infected one
View 6 RepliesI am a 28 year old male. I have a lump/cyst looking thing on the left opening of my anus. It was red in color yesterday and very sore. Today when I got off work, I found that half of it is black. It bleeds very little ( only when wiping) and I am not sure if it leaking some clear fluid or not. It is about the size of a quarter. Is there any diagnosis you could give me. Or possible home remedies to try and fix the problem.
View 1 RepliesMy vagina has been itching for several months now, anywhere from the pubic area to the vaginal opening. I noticed a few bumps on the inside of my lip, right where the bartholin's cyst can be upseated. They were itchy so I took a warm bath with some epsom salt and went to bed. I woke up to pain there and when I looked I saw one of the bumps had popped open and was now very sore to the touch and itches like crazy! None of my previous itching had caused a sore. I'm beginning to panic because I started looking online and of course herpes is the first thing I found. It doesn't seem like herpes based on what I have seen, I have had these little bumps before and they have never ruptured or caused any pain. I'm wondering if it is herpes or if maybe it could be an irritated cyst?
View 6 Replies9 months ago I saw a small flesh coloured raised oval shaped lump on my right tonsil, went doctors and was told nothing to worry about. Had a few sore throats since then (which I'm prone to), the dentist's last week was told bad decay in right lower molar, asked dentist to check lump as it was still there, again told nothing to worry about. Got home and felt throat a little sore, had a look and noticed the area next to the lump was also swollen a bit, freaked out, back to doctors who now referred to ENT, claiming he couldn't see lump 9 months ago while asking if I'd lost appetite/weight. Anyway then both my kids also came down with sore throat/virus thing, so I thought maybe the second swelling was just tonsillitis... then my uvula felt sore, still does a bit.. throat not that sore now but BOTH lumps still there. The second swelling goes into the bottom of tonsil crypt... I am praying it's somehow connected to tooth decay, or the first lump is maybe a cyst which is somehow draining into the tonsil via the second lump and into the crypt, but googled too much and now so anxious about cancer. Has anyone else had anything like this?
View 14 Replieslast Sunday may 30th I finished my periods so on the Monday me and my boyfriend of 3 1/2 year had intercourse and I noticed that it felt like a burning sensation and it hurt I thought that was kinda weird so it stayed like that the next day and couple days later it started to itch on the top of the lips near the clitoris , couple days later I noticed a white crusty looking stuff on the inside I thought maybe I had a yeast infection i went and bought canesten but I haven't used it yet so Friday June 5 we had intercourse again but the burning sensation was gone but the next day I was in pain felt like I was bruised down there and Sunday June 7th when I went to the bathroom to pee I went to wipe myself and it hurt so I felt around and I could feel a lump on the inside of my lip on the right side near the clitorise it does not hurt when I pee only when touched and starting to hurt a lot not sure if because it's on the inside and always touching something I'm really not sure what it is I've had a boil last year that had occurred on the outside of the lip I'm thinking it could be that cuz it's only 1 lump and seems to be getting bigger and sore and the itch is gone but I still have white crust forming in the inside does anyone know what it could be ?

Way under the skin. I thought it went away and I felt it tonight while showering. Flesh colored mainly. Maybe slightly red but it feels hard when I press the area. No other symptoms.

Also what were your experiences of the surgery pain relief and stitches etc?? Did it take you long to recover. Also if anyone has had this surgery pregnant or not I would love to hear from you but if you were what stage of pregnancy did you have surgery?
I think i have a boil on my butthole and i don't know how to solve this. I'm not sure what it actually is. It hurts when i sit down and it looks like a white bump when i checked it out myself. It hurts to touch too and the butthole stays enlarged after i clean myself after going to the bathroom. It doesn't stay enlarged all day though only for like 5 minutes after i use the bathroom and clean up. What do i do? This was probably my fault because i probably had an ingrown hair and didn't shave right. I'm scared and want it to be gone. It has been here for one week but it looks worse than it did last week.
View 1 RepliesI'm 16 and I have some kind of boil on my scrotum that's been bothering me for about a year. Sometimes it's hard, sometimes, it's soft and I would like to know what it exactly is. I also get lots of boils in my inner thigh region as well. I usually just rub Bengay on them for temporary relief. They're very common and I'm kind of embarrassed to tell my doctor because I have one testicle. I feel like him looking at it while I have one testicle will trigger a lot questions.
My sister also experiences these boils in her inner thigh and has a massive boil or cyst it may be in her armpit. It's kind of the boil/cyst I have on my scrotum. Her doctor one day attempted to draw out some of the fluid for testing but since the boil was to hard, he didn't get deep enough to draw any fluid. This was a really painful process for my sister and it still is. My brother had run ins in the past with boils when he was younger showing up on his buttocks. So to conclude everything, I need answers, quick.
I had a simple 13cm cyst removed from my broad ligament (next to ovary) at the end of June. It had been causing me issues for at least 6 months, including sharp pains, which I thought were linked to the digestive system at first. I had a laparoscopy and feel much better in myself.
The week before surgery, I began to noticeably lose hair from my head. It's now been coming out for nearly 8 weeks. Luckily I had a lot of hair to start with but I've now had to have it cut shorter as looked awful and I must have lost half my hair or more. :o( I've had blood tests and everything seems fine, so Dr thinks it must have been the stress that the cyst was putting on my body, esp with sharp pains etc. I have found this link to PCOS but not large cysts and wondered if anyone else had suffered in the same way and if so, how long the hair loss continued?
Around 6 months back, I had a painless, flesh colored boil in the outer lips of my vagina (pubic area), which I ignored assuming it was an ingrown hair. Now around three days back, I got another boil (slightly bigger than the first one) on the public area itself.

Well I had a small boil on the inside of my nose for months and it just wouldn't go away. I visited my NHS Dr who prescribed some cream, nothing happened - he advised to continue using it and suggested perhaps getting it cut off. Anyway I visited the Dr at work who advised getting it cut off which I thought would be end of it. But to my dismay they did a biospy on it and found out it was Sarcoidosis. My mum has this so I was aware of it. I was devasted. This followed with CT scans, lung test, blood test which confirmed Sarcoidosis on the lungs and enlarged nymph nodes. After a long consultation it was decided not to treat it yet as I had no other systems. But a couple of months later I developed a cough, two months later I am still coughing and on exertion (netball albiet quite a bit of running around) I end up having a sort of ashtma attack. Anyway to cut a long story short this is all related and have been prescribed steriods and some other stuff to counteract the side effects. I am really reluctant to take them but after reading the different views on this site with all the different effect I feel I should start taking them (waiting for the NHS to reluctantly prescribe them) before it gets worse. I am wondering now if I have had this for ages as the symptoms of tiredness, aching neck and shoulders I have always had but just thought it was me. My mum was diagnosed 20 years or so ago and it has only just flared up again but in the bones of her ankle. She has trouble breathing which they have said is asthma...
View 1 Repliesi had a solid cyst removed on friday its worse than childbirth, i have had 4 babies so i should know. i am swollen black and blue,can not walk or sit down feel depressed,no one can understand how bad the pain is.in hospital they did give me morphine that did take the edge of the pain.but i am home now and it kills!. i've tried to think of things i can do to get the pain away like cold flannels. and spray with a shower nothing helps.
View 2 RepliesJust a couple weeks ago I had a bump forming right next to my nostril and directly on my cheek. I've had it for over two weeks and just yesterday I had it checked by my doctor and she prescribed me a topical solution ( smells a lot like alcohol) called Clindamycin Phosphate. I've done everything she had mentioned to me as far as putting a warm compress on my face which I have done the past couple nights and later applying the solution. Well, just a while ago as I was searching for some advice, I twitched my nose then all of a sudden I felt a tingle on my face and was in a way relieved to see that the boil had popped! I washed my hands, took a q-tip and just dabbed all the puss and blood out. Not sure if I'm doing anything incorrectly since I can't seem to get all the puss out of it since the bump is still there. I waited it out a bit before washing my face for the rest of the blood to come out since it was still dripping a bit. I gently washed my face with aveeno and waited for it to dry as I later dabbed the solution on the boil which stung like bloody murder >;) ! I'm very worried that this bump will remain on my face as this is the very first time in my life to experience such a traumatizing experience. If there is any help, please I beg you, how do you treat a boil/pimple after it hasn't completely drained?? Should I just wait it out and continue to use my prescription? My doctor told me I didn't need a follow up for it, but I'm so worried I can't help it! Should I continue to apply a warm compress twice a day? What should I do?
View 13 RepliesFor a long time now (so long I can't remember exactly how many years), I've been getting painful boil type spots on my tummy. When they 'erupt' they are large red boils, extremely painful if they catch on something as I'm doing housework it feels like someone is stabbing me with a hot poker. Eventually they burst and pus, water and blood comes out (sorry tmi).
When they aren't too bad they'll be like purple red hard patches under the skin. They run from just under my breasts to my thighs, there doesn't appear to be a pattern to them, they aren't limited to a particular area they are just everywhere.
A doctor saw them once, told me they were boils and I should lose weight (I had just had a baby). I was so mortified I never went back. I hate the way they look, I'm ashamed of how they make me look.
I've had this sore on my inner thigh groin area that will. not. heal. I have seen 2 doctors and a dermatologist. No infection. No MRSA. It's just a sore that's about an inch 1/2 long and a 1/2 inch wide. You can feel all the scar tissue underneath and when it gets irritated it swells up. Then hurts. Then drains puss and blood. Then starts the process over. I've been on 4 different antibiotics (which I don't understand since there's no infection) they've put me on hormones (birth control) to see if that's what is causing it. It's this gross purple scar and it hurts and it won't heal. This has been going on for almost exactly a year! A whole year!!!! Doctor's have no idea what it is so my dermatologist diagnosed it as chronic dermatitis.
View 14 RepliesMy mom has a lump in her sides, i couldn't quite understand if it is considered as a breast (because it is in the side and not literally on the breast) or armpit (because it is already below the armpit) lump. It started to be small but then grew bigger after a while it also became painful and suddenly looked like a bruise, she also felt a little numbness in her arm, after some time putting organic medicine it turned smaller and painless but right now it is not yet gone. 1st question: is it to be identified as a breast or armpit lump? 2nd question: what might be the diagnosis for both cases (or what is the difference of diagnosis if it is identified under armpit lump or if it is identified under breast lump)? i really couldn't find any reference to a lump that is painful then turned painless
