Perimenopause At 39? Hot Flashes, Night Sweats, Mood Swings, Headaches, Ringing In My Ears

I've been to two gynos with my issues and I'm getting a little frustrated but I think I've figured this out on my own anyway. I'm 39, work out intensely 6 times a week, have 11 year old twins, no history of gynecological disease, and for the past year I've been experiencing signs of perimenopause. I haven't missed a period yet but sometimes I get two (yay me) and sometimes I get one that's either very light and short or very heavy and long. I have hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, headaches, ringing in my ears on a regular basis for about 4 months(that hasn't happened in a few months now), extreme breast tenderness, fatigue, itchy skin, aversion to odors that normally don't bother me, digestive issues, etc. I can go down a list of symptoms of perimenopause and I have at least 12 of them. The problem is that when I tell a dr these things, they don't offer much help and they basically dismiss the idea that I could be perimenopausal at 39. I want them to understand that I'm miserable and I feel like **** 50% of the time because of these symptoms. They offer me the pill or an IUD to which I politely decline, leave, and go to my local homeopathic pharmacy to have some compounds made to help me cope with these insane symptoms.

HIV :: Body Ache, Night Sweats, Hot Flashes Throughout The Body

I am 31 years old and had a vaginal sex with a girl of unknown HIV status using two condoms at a time. It was my first sexual encounter. I ejaculated twice and both times I used double condoms as I changed after first ejaculation. Both times the condoms seemed to be intact and I could see my semen inside the condom. It's almost over 28 days now and since the past couple of days I have developed almost all symptoms like pain in the back (I have a history of L3 compression and pelvic hairline fracture in 2007), cough with something in throat, body ache, night sweats, hot flashes throughout the body, had stiffness and pain in the back of neck, not visible swollen lymph nodes , had two time kind of diarrhea today.

Since the day after this exposure I was panic stricken with stress and anxiety and cannot sleep at all with insomnia like features and wake up at 2 or 3 or 4 am in the morning due to all sorts of weird thoughts.

Menopause :: No Hot Flashes - Perimenopause?

it has become so hard to see if i fit for peri-menopause as I do not have hot flashes at all but i seem to have all else creeping up on me. lots of women say if you don't have the hot flashes then it can not be peri...So really what is the best way to know that your entering that stage of life or not..i read alot of posts where all these woman have all these tell tale sign of menopause and instead of there doctor taking there age into consideration for menopause they all run to do all kinds of tests and this and that..is it really that difficult to decipher when in menopause or not? I'm so confused and since I'm 42 my doctor wont even talk to me about it regardless that my mother and her went into full menopause at 45 yrs old..i just hate to be running to the DR and getting all frustrated when some of my symptoms or all are peri-menopause related.

Menopause :: PCOS And Perimenopause Symptoms

Im 37 and have been experiencing almost every symptom of perimenopause. The worst ones being, anxiety, insomnia, night sweats, hot flushes, periods areso unpredictable. I have suffered with pcos but know how that affects my periods etc. My periods have never been this far apart.... Ever! They have also become lighter and shorter in duration. I have mood swings constantly and feel irritable but this could be due to the sleep deprivation. I have been backwards and forwards to my gp. He did some blood tests on my hormones which have came back within normal range.......am I right in saying that blood tests are normal during perimenopause??

My mum seems to think i'm heading for the menopause as she got similar symptoms, she was only 39 when her periods completely stopped.

I really don't know where to go from here. Cant seem to convince the drs this is hormones

Use Of Birth Control Pills For Perimenopause Symptoms?

Does anyone else use birth control pills for peri symptoms?

About a year ago I started getting severe symptoms. Severe depression and anxiety, sudden mood swings, doom and gloom thinking, etc. So I got started on BC pills. I think it helped for awhile but now I'm getting break through symptoms especially PMS symptoms that are worse than before I got on the pill. So my doctor says I can stop my periods altogether and not take the placebos. Has anyone done that? Or has anyone gone on HRT while still having their periods?

Menopause :: Anxiety? Perimenopause? Both? Overwhelming Physical Symptoms

I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder last March, after suffering a panic attack while traveling for business. Since then, I've had a multitude of daily physical symptoms...dizziness/lightheadedness, body aches, headaches, insomnia, night sweats, increased body temperature, feeling weak in my limbs, general fatigue, shakiness....you name it, I've had it. I've just about worn out my welcome at my GP's office, I've been there so often....I've been to the emergency room four times, had an MRI, multiple ECGs, countless rounds of bloodwork, an upper endoscopy...everything comes back clear. So why do I feel so sick all the time? I did have my hormone levels checked, and my doctor confirmed that I'm at least perimenopausal (I'm 45 years old)....could all of these symptoms (and truly, they occur daily) be related to perimenopause? I've developed a serious issue with health anxiety due to all of this, because I can't accept that these symptoms are harmless...I'm convinced that something catastrophic is wrong with me.

Menopause :: What Are The Hot Flashes Symptoms?

I will be turning 47 next month. I have have been bleeding for a month now, mostly normal flow and a couple of days of spotting. Have to wear some sort of pad everyday. I did skip 2 months prior with just a couple of days of spotting. The last couple of nights I have woken burning up. I mean, I feel like I could fry an egg on my stomach, like my body is laying on a layer of hot coals. It's horrible! This lasts throughout the night. Eventually, the back of my neck will be dripping in sweat. My question is, could this be hot flashes? Can they be so painfully hot? I have also felt soooo tired and achy, joints and muscles. I can't imagine dealing with this for years.

Tramadol :: Coming Off - Headaches, Nosebleeds, Sickness, Sweats, Freezing Cold

12 Jan I had a riding accident, hurt my shoulder. It was previously injured (dislocation/fracture of humerus) and it's been weak ever since. Doc put me on cocodamol as of 14th, and then on the 17th I was back at docs because they were making me sick. He put me on tramadol. 2x 50mg tablets three times a day.

I wasn't warned about any possible side effects, other than they may cause drowsiness.

11 weeks later, I can't kick it. I no longer require the tramadol for pain. They tried a weaning programme. I was given Tramadol SR tablets. I cut from 300mg a day to 200 mg. One tablet morning, one tablet evening for a week. The week after I was cut down to 100mg tablet in the morning, then nothing.

I lasted a day before I used some left over regular tramadol.

The effects were horrific when I initially changed the dosage, but I thought it would be okay with cutting down and then coming off completely. I was ready for some side effects, but not what happened in reality.

Headaches, nosebleeds, sickness, sweats, freezing cold, aggressiveness, exhaustion, tearful, restless, insomnia.

I had some very very dark thoughts that I haven't had in years. I took the tramadol and felt ten times better.

I have a doctor's appointment today, but they tend to be as much use as a chocolate teapot.

A nurse over the phone expressed she thought that the time frame for coming off them was too short, and the leap from 100mg to none was too much.

I know I have a problem, but I'm scared to come off them and become the horrid, nasty person I was at the weekend. My rational thoughts tell me once I stop for good I'll be back to normal, but I don't have those rational thoughts when I try and come off them. I need them to cope with the most simple of tasks.

Abdominal Pain :: Back And Side Pain With Spells Of Cold Sweats

For about 1 and a half years I have had constant stomach pain; from a few hours a day to whole days at a time. Some days the pain is bearable but other days I literally cannot move and have to go on my hands and knees to help shift the pain.

The doctors firstly diagnosed me with an acid issue and prescribed Omeprazole. This medication did not help me at all.

I was referred to the Gastroenterologist who done some checks and blood tests and thought it may be a bad case of IBS.

I have taken numerous IBS medication which has also failed to work for me. I am on Tramadol and Co-codamol to help relieve the pain but it only lasts so long.

Often when I get these stomach pains I get cold sweats and a temperature with nausea. The doctors are determined that the issue with IBS with acid issues but I don't have any of the symptoms of IBS besides stomach pain and no certain foods seem to bring the pain on.
