When I was leaving for work, I noticed that the driver side of my front spoiler popped out (where it meets the wheel well). I tried to push it in but it wouldn't stay. I saw that there are 2 slits that look like a point for something from the spoiler to clip onto the bumper but I see nothing on the spoiler that will clip to them. I have a 2007 SE.
View 1 RepliesI was driving down the street when another car side swiped mine. There wasn't any noticeable damage, but the side mirror on my driver side popped out.
It doesn't look like anything is actually broken. The mirror just popped out. Can I pop it back in or will I need to get it looked at?
The reason I ask is I didn't notice any other parts of the mirror on the street, but can't seem to get it to pop back in.
My Kia Optima side view mirror popped off when it hit a trash can and I was wondering if there was any way to reattach it? I was thinking of using some really strong epoxy, but I don't know where I would apply it since the mirror rotates when it comes in contact with other objects and if I used epoxy I might lose that functionality. View 3 RepliesSomehow, I managed to pop out the light module in the driver's side footwell. It still works, but was dangling loose by the cord. I stuffed it temporarilly behind the side trim panel, just to get it out of the way of the clutch.
It doesn't look damaged, but I can't see where/how this attaches to the structure in the footwell. I tried looking how the passenger side module is attached, but it's set into/covered by a trip panel the driver's side doesn't have.
A spring popped out of the door pocket in the driver side door when someone tried to clean it pulling it out (which they shouldn't have done). I have the two springs but I need a diagram on how to open the door to get inside the panel to put it back. How the door comes apart ? I can try to guess but you know there is always a trick.
View 1 RepliesI recently fixed a hollow sounding door rattle that was coming from the outer door skin on my driver's side door. It turned out to be a stiffening rib that was not bonded to the door skin anymore, possibly because of an impact or just age of the vehicle.
After removing the door panel and peeling back the plastic dust guard, I used some adhesive caulk and tapered rubber wedges to brace the stiffener and reattach it to the door skin.
The picture shows the approximate location of the stiffener in between the outer skin and the inner panel support.
Boston winter roads got the best of my 2009 Camry LE, and now I have a broken spring on the driver's side front tire. I have yet to find a trusted mechanic in the area. Do I need to go to a dealer, or is it basic enough to do?
View 5 RepliesI put lowering springs on a few months ago and a pop/clunk has developed. There is a tiny lip of pavement just past my garage door and it clunks as I back out at an angle over it. Worse case I can check the torque on all of the bolts.
View 2 RepliesI hear & feel a knocking sound when i brake and come to a stop & when i am accelerating and moving at slower speeds. I had both my front & back brakes replaced in the recent past and the brake oil also changed. I still hear the noise and vibration. This issue get all the more prominent when the roads are wet and its raining.
View 1 RepliesMy window came off the two metal u-shaped clamps that hold it to the lift mechanism. I know it was factory glued into the clamps (saw the "gunk" left when removed). My first attempt at repair failed when one clamp loosened due to improper alignment. Repair? (proper adhesive, alignment/positioning, etc)
View 1 RepliesI am a new Camry owner. I am very pleased with the vehicle so far, but I've noticed a strange buzzing/static sound coming from my driver's side front door.
I checked to see if anything was in the storage compartment on the doors (all of them in fact) but I saw nothing in there. I turned off the stereo system and I double checked that all the windows were closed, yet the sound persisted for about 5 minutes. This has happened intermittently for several days now, and seems to happen whenever I go over some rough surfaces.
2005 Toyota Solara my front driver side caliper was sticking and heating up a couple months ago... replaced the caliper and the rotor... still had the same problem. I would drive it, it got hot and stuck, after I parked for a little while it slowly released. Talked to a couple of mechanics and they both said undoubtedly I had a bad flex hose and it was collapsing with pressure and then will release... I changed the flex hose and flushed the fluid and it was immediately fixed...no problems.
Drove the car for a month, went to South Carolina and back and then a couple days ago the same thing started happening. Talked to a mechanic, he told me that the new caliper may have gotten fried from over heating before I changed the flex hose... Got a new caliper today (warranty) exchange... changed it out and still have the same problem. When it sticks I can release the pressure by opening the bleeder valve so it seems like the flex hose issue again... my only thought now is maybe the new flex hose is a bad one and someone mentioned the proportioning valve.

View 1 RepliesYesterday my passenger front window popped out of it's track. Then when we tried to pop it back in and get it to go back up, it completely popped out and up about 3 inches from the frame of the door. Enough to be able to fit a had through no problem.
I am taking the car in tomorrow to have it looked at and get a quote to fix. From what I've read, it's a super pricey fix. So bummed because I just bought the car about 6 weeks ago (if that) ...
Is there a way to repair an individual switch on the drivers master window switches, or do I I have to replace entire 4 switch and window lock set?
View 8 RepliesIt all began on my 1997 Camry when the driver's front turn signal began the rapid flashing thing, indicating to me that the bulb in the front was out. I replaced the bulb. The running light part works, but the flasher still does not. On the front passenger side of the car, the turn signal works, but the running light does not. I replaced the passenger side bulb at the same time I replaced the driver's side bulb. The flashing turn signal works as it did before, but the running light still does not go on.
The problem shouldn't be the bulbs - they are new. The flasher unit behind the fuse box should affect both lights flashing, so it probably is not that.
What thing or things can cause one light to flash for the turn signal but not be on constantly for the running light (passenger front side) and to work as a running light being constantly on, but not flashing as a turn signal (driver's front side)?
I'm having a hard time diagnosing a creaking noise that is coming from the front driver side area. Since the Camry is pretty quiet, this is the one stand out noise that annoys me while driving. I placed my phone next to the front windshield to get as close as possible to the noise but am having trouble locating the exact spot. Where it's coming from.
The noise tends to appear when outside temperature is spring/summer like. In the winter I really didn't notice it. So that tells me the interior temperature is irrelevant despite warming up the cabin in winter. How this is linked to outside temperature I have no idea.
Ignore the large thump in the middle of the video as that is noise from going over potholes.
