Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: Cannot Get To 4x4 Hi When Try To Slide The Shifter In Place

I just got a 2004 f-150 STX 4x4. It has floor shifter for the 4 wheel drive. I can shift it into 4x4 low and that light will come on but I can not get it to go into 4x4 hi when I try to slide the shifter in place the light will flash on but I can not keep it on. Am I doing something wrong?

I changed out the bad bulb for a new 194 LED bulb and it still doesn't work. So it leads me to believe its a bad fuse. I'm looking at my Manual and no where do I see the fuse location for the Shifter light. The light that lights of the shifter so you can see if your in Drive or Reverse or etc... I have a 2004 Ford F150 Supercrew.

Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: Flow Through Console Chrome Shifter Cap

The chrome shift cap came off and I lost it. Accidentally threw it away somehow. Looks like crap now!

Someone had posted that they had gotten a replacement from their dealer. I went to my dealer and all he would sell me was THE WHOLE SHIFT UNIT. All I need is to pop the little cap on top of the shifter, not replace the entire unit.

What I was wondering is if you have gotten just the cap from your dealer, what might the part number be so I can get one.

I can't get my shifter to move out of park. I took it in and they replaced the brake switch and although that seemed to fix it it started up again after a week of use. Now I'm stuck in my driveway. What's causing this?

I have a 2006 f150 fx4 4x4. I drove it home from work yesterday and it ran and drove just fine. I got up this morning to go to work and turn the key but the engine won't fire. I turns over just fine. I turn the key to release the trans to put it in neutral to see if it would start like that and the shifter is stuck. I button in the front will not go in. I tried lifting the rear tires off the ground to see if I could free the trans.

I have a weird situation, when I open the sunroof then try to close it, it slides to the middle then opens again. After four trials the sunroof switches to manual then I close it manually.

Lexus RX 2004-09 :: Slide And Adjust Center Console

Through looking at pictures, Ive noticed RX's with different center console positions.

Some are more aft towards the Instrument console and some are more back towards the rear seats.

I can definitely go ahead with all the screws and figure how to slide it back but just making sure if there was a quick few screws to adjust and also if I CAN adjust.

Prius (2004-09) :: Seat Belt Slide Mechanism Not Working

Ok. So I purchased my 2009 Prius on Saturday (4/23/2016). Couldn't be happier. I have a couple of things that I need to get to right away including a very small crack on the front windshield and the slide mechanism on the drivers side. I am a small guy and the seat belt currently goes across my lower neck (not a good thing). Now the passenger side will allow for the adjustment of the seatbelt height by sliding up and down but the drivers side won't budge. The seat belt itself works fine, just not the adjustment for changing the height.

I've had an intermittent rattle for a bit on front drivers side. Checked sway bar links and they are good. I grabbed the caliper and it actually rattles at the slides. Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Odd Braking / From 5 To 0 MPH It Almost Feels Like Slide On Ice For A Second

First off I want to say my truck isnt throwing any codes, nor am I loosing any pressure on the brake peddle. What is going on is my brakes are working just fine I can stop from any speed and my brakes are performing just fine until I slow to about 5mph.

From 5mph to 0mph it almost feels like I slide on ice for a second, and you hear a sound almost like what you hear when your ABS kicks in. I will feel a slight fluctuation in the brake peddle and then my truck comes to a stop. It is the darnest thing. One mechanic I spoke to said he thought is was the vacuum system, another thought it may be the brake sensors....

Nissan - Rogue :: 2008 - Shifter Will Not Go From Park To Drive Position After Car Started And Foot On Brake

I have a 2008 Nissan Rogue that is experiencing a shifter problem. The problem is that periodically the shifter will not go from the "park" position to the "drive" position after the car is started and your foot is on the brake. I have been able to drive the car by inserting a small screwdriver into the slot on the gear shift assembly to depress the switch that allows you to override the mechanism but as you can imagine that is tedious and what do you do if suddenly the screwdriver is lost - you go nowhere and you can't even get to store to buy another one because the car won't move!

I have had the car into the dealer twice now and they have been unable to correctly diagnose the shifter problem. They have said that it could be a failed solenoid that senses the brake pedal being depressed but so far that has checked out fine. They also thought that it may be a brake sensor and they asked me to keep an eye on the brake lights to see if they come on when the brake pedal is depressed and the lights do come on so they believe that is not an issue. They "repositioned" the shift assembly in the car center console thinking that it may be an improper position and they tightened it down into place but that has not corrected the problem either. They now tell me that the entire shift assembly needs to be replaced at a cost of $670.00 and I find that hard to believe let alone pay for!

The car has about 70,000 mile on it and it was recently in an accident that did deploy some side airbags and I am wondering too if the accident may have damaged the assembly in some way that caused the malfunction where the repairs may be covered by my insurance company. This has only started after the accident repairs were made and we never had a problem like this prior to that event.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2006 F350 - Front Right Caliper Won't Slide Off Pads / Stuck

Replacing remaining three calipers on my 2006 F-350 2wd as a preventative measure after I had a drag on the left front. Passenger side front being difficult. Caliper won't slide off pads. I believe pins are stuck but it doesn't seem they've got the caliper stuck - appears that I can't get pistons to stay compressed enough to clear pads. Caliper has some wiggle on pads - just not enough.

I tried multiple C-clamp iterations but can't get there just yet. I'd rather not fool with the bracket and removal won't fix my problem, just allow me to work it on the bench. I do have a replacement caliper, so damaging it to get it off is an option. I have sprayed Kroil into the piston seals in a Hail Mary when I pick this up tomorrow.
