Passat (B5) :: 2002 - Trunk Latch Will Not Catch

My trunk latch will not catch. It will close and stay closed, but when driving it trips the sensor that it's open. The Car will not alarm unless I push down on the trunk, but if a car drives by it trips the alarm.

I have removed the liner to expose the latch assembly, but can't find anything broken. Have been unable to remove the hard plastic surrounding the latch itself.

Accent MC (2006-11) :: Low Tone Engine Noise With Clutch Out, Becomes High Pitched With Clutch In

I've got an unknown issue with my 07 Accent (1.6L):

There is a low tone noise coming from near the upper area of the engine. It sounds like air or fluid traveling through a hose. The tone of the noise has recently become progressively louder, so that it is noticeable over normal road noise when driving. The noise does not fluctuate in tone or intensity with changes in RPM. However, the tone changes to a higher pitched frequency, almost like a hiss, when the clutch is fully engaged and held to the floor, both when in gear and when not in gear.

What the cause may be? And potentially required maintenance?

Passat (B5) :: Engine Shaking Like It Needs To Catch A Second Before Starting Fully

When I start my 2001 passat 1.8T 155,000+, my car shakes like it feels like it needs to catch a second before starting fully, and when it does fully start it gives a good kick but then stops, just curious of what it could be and what it could run me, but its not the battery I know that?

Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: 1999 V6 Will Rev Real High When Press The Clutch While Sitting At A Light

I bought this truck for work and all of a sudden it will rev real high when I press the clutch in to switch gears or when sitting at a light. I stopped at a parking lot and popped the hood and tried to pull the throttle back by hand but it will not go. There is a lil slack in the throttle cable but when the truck is off and I manually pull the throttle back it returns normally.

I was wondering if the little black electronic box opposite where the throttle hooks to the throttle body is making it rev so high? I really don't know a lot about these newer trucks as I have driving older trucks my whole life so probably using wrong terms...

Passat - Volkswagen :: 2001 V6 Cranks But Does Not Catch / EPC And Check Engine Light Come On

Recently I bought an 01 Passat with a V6. Intermittently, when I go to start it, it cranks and cranks and doesn't catch. When this happens, the EPC and check engine light come on.

Other than that it is a fine car, I'm the second owner, and it was thoroughly maintained at VW dealerships and specialist. Recently there was a new oil pan and starter put in (w/in a month--previous owners).

Passat (B7) :: 2013 - Flat Spots On Acceleration As If Transmission Is Trying To Catch A Gear?

Have a 2013 Passat Tdi. It seems that sometimes when i accelerate the car doesn't move it has a flat spot as if the transmission is trying to catch a gear. I know this might sound minor to some folks. However on several occasions I've pulled out into oncoming traffic not expecting it to have a flat spot in the car not moving at all. What's up with this?

On the highway no problem and normal acceleration no problem but if you're going from a stop or pulling away from a intersection seems that happen more so than I would like.

Passat (B5) :: 1999 - Clutch Went Out

My clutch just went out on my 1.8t B5 1999 Passat today. My car has 165k miles, so I'm not super worried about longevity, so I want to know the cheapest results given my circumstances. My car is bone stock other than lowness and rims, so I'm not worried about performance.

Passat (B5) :: 1999 - Clutch Does Not Engage

I traded for a 99 passat 1.8t aeb based on the assumption the slave cylinder was out. My 3rd b5 5 speed. Kid told me clutch pedal had no pressure and fell to floor.easy fix! Get the car to my house from 2 hours away and this is not the case.Pedal is fine. Decent clutch pedal starts with clutch pushed in. But clutch does not engage. Even when motor off or on goes into all gears without clutch pushed in. no engagement. So I put in new slave and bleed out.

Car no longer stuck in neutral shifts fine. Put in reverse barely crawls but is MOVING! Put into first and start to pull forward..stops moving. No clunks or booms just back to ALL neutral. starts with clutch but wont engage. So try bleeding again nothing.. I think it is the clutch but i dont want to spend 1400 if i dont have to though the car is worth it. Going to replace dual mass as well. The cv joints are fine. so thinking throw out or pressure plate. i work on this car like crazy but im definitely not going to do the clutch. Not enough time or a warm dry location. I haven't checked clutch master yet but with slave bleeding out,no leaks and a firm pedal i dont believe she is the culprit..

Passat (B5) :: 1999 - Clutch Pedal Would Not Come Up Off The Floor / Stuck

Facts: 1999 Vw passat 1.8t

1 year ago, clutch pedal would not come up off the floor, no life in the pedal.

Problem: Clutch master cylinder, replaced.

6 months ago, clutch finally went bad. Took car to clutch shop, replaced clutch kit(found out after i payed that they only turned the dual-mass flywheel... ). Get car from clutch shop, the clutch pedal came up only 2-3 inches off the floor by itself but you could lift the pedal with your hand or foot, and it would come back up all the way, but it was life-less. It was not pulling fluid in. It was catching extremely low. I called the shop, they said that it was just because it was a new clutch and it would get better. I didn't believe them.

Two days ago, I got into my car and couldn't get it into gear. Clutch pedal would go down with the same amount of force as before. Took it back to the clutch shop and explained the history with the clutch master and then them doing the clutch kit. They said it wasn't bleeding properly and they're not sure if its going to have problems again. Car is working now, but I am concerned that it will have similar problems again.

The tech who fixed it said he pumped fluid into it extremely hard, and that's what made the pedal come up all the way (no longer stops 2 inches off the floor) and its going into gear just fine now. What the problem might have been? Block in the hydraulic lines? If this is the case, does forcing fluid through it fix it?

My clutch pedal went all the way to the floor. The engine was missing first and then that problem happened with the clutch. I had the car towed to my business, I checked it the other day and the pedal was up. The clutch still doesn't engage.

Ford - Explorer :: 1999 XLT Transmission Taking A Couple Of Seconds To Catch In Drive

I've had a 1999 explorer for a few months. The transmission has always taken a couple of seconds to "catch" in drive and was then fine. Today, I had to tow another car a short distance and now going into drive directly is useless.

I must shift into 2nd and then back into drive. Then, for the most part, the car drives fine unless I have to put it in Park or in Reverse. Then I must repeat the procedure.

The fluid is fresh and the dipstick shows a slight overfill. Is there anything I can do about this or is this the death of the transmission. If I can run it another couple of years, I'd be satisfied.

Passat (B5) :: 1999 - Heat Only Comes In At High Revs / Driver Side Window Won't Go Down

Alright i got a 1999 Passat 1.8t, that I just did a new head gasket, turbo swap on and FMIC, the problem is that the heat only comes in at high revs and at speeds of 35+ and it's getting really annoying now with it being winter and I leave my car for 10 minutes in the cold and come back to see the whole interior side of the glass is frozen..

Also, my driver's side window will not go down, theirs a clicking noise you can hear when I press down on the switch?

Ford - F150 :: 1991 - Idled High Like The Clutch Went Down

i have a 1991 5 speed F-150 that i only use to plow my private rd... and have been using it like that for about 8 years. we have had quite a snowy season in NH, and it has been running good, until yesterday. while pushing snow, it idled really high... like the clutch went (had a new clutch put in 4 years, 400 miles ago.) i checked the clutch fluid. nasty brown, but no leak. it sat over night and i tried again today. same thing... except I realized it only seems to be doing it in 4 high and 2wd. in 4wd low, it seems to work fine. hoped to find some solution on the site, but there was nothing. we're getting another 4-6 tonight....

Golf/GTI VII :: Clutch Slipping / APR Stage 1 - Low To High Output

So I recently got APR stage 1 low output (93 octane v1.2) installed and loving it so far on my '15 GTI. I went with the low output tune after hearing many clutch slipping issues and since this is my daily driver and i need reliability, didn't want to risk it too much. BUT... I am starting to wonder about the regular output. Going low to high, worth it? Seems like a 20-29 hp difference would be a lot. Have the stage 1 regular tune and no clutch slipping issues?
