The interior lights turned on when I open the door and then the left map light never turned off. I tried every tricks. Turned on turned off the switch, opened & closed doors. The right map light does work correct. I don't want the 12V battery to drain so I just pulled out the light.
View 3 RepliesI currently installed my HID's and I saw that I needed to have a relay for them so I made sure I bought that too. They work but when I turn on the car sometimes the left headlight won't turn on I have to turn them off and on in order for it to turn on. The relay is connected straight to the battery so I don't see why it won't turn on. I heard of some diy capacitors but didn't see the link on those old threads.

View 7 RepliesSo four lanes, divided, with a left turn lane, five lanes at the intersection. I'm down ~15 mph, maximum turn speed and one car is just clearing intersection and and +100 yards from next approaching slug of traffic. Keeping the speed, I make the left turn confident no problem then halfway through turn:
feels like a soft tuck
traction light flashes
already to straighten out
everything normal
This is the second time I've seen this in a year. Pavement dry, 48 hours since last rain; ~8:00 AM so rush hour is on. Before doing some parking lot tests, any clue about how to replicate?
My dashcam SD card did not play.
I just got a 2015 Prius 4 and during an ordinary turn onto an on-ramp, the engine died. The two yellow engine lights on the left of the panel turned on, but because I had to move along I just turned the car off then on, like a computer and it started right back up. I'm not sure if the electric engine died or not, everything was moving too fast.
I took it in to the dealer today and he said he never heard of that happening and if the engine light hasn't come on since he didn't know about it. I wanted him to log in the info as I couldn't leave the car today, but he said he couldn't do that unless he took it in and had it checked, which I guess I'll do next week.
I walked out to get the paper the other morning and saw the faint light inside my car. I had been out the night before playing around with my new Engine Link toy. I have read many posts about this and having to jump the battery to get it started.

View 4 RepliesI left the trunk of my 2007 Prius open long enough for the light to drain the battery. Once I jumped it, I was able to drive the 100 miles home, even though the red triangle warning light was on. Now when I turn the car on, there's a light I've never seen before, as seen in the attached image.
View 11 RepliesJust got a diagnostic from the nice people at Prius Battery Repair. Check engine light was on and intermittent red triangle when I make a left turn. Code PO505 came up- Idle control System. I have 162,000 miles and just put in a reconditioned battery that checks out fine.

It start overheating where a triangle light would come in the left corner of the Dash display at the same time it would say check Hybrid system and that would happen after 20 Minutes of driving. If I still keep on driving after 5 minutes all the warning light come on and the car doesn't move. I replaced the water pump.but still the same thing.

If you turn left while driving it goes off, turn right it goes on, move the wheel left and right you can make it a disco light on and off. I have had two code readers on this car and there are no engine codes. Im in California so it cant pass emissions test with any engine light despite the fact there are not codes.

It is located on the right of the dash display. I just changed my oil and put on winter tires myself two days ago. I hope it isn't related to my maintenance.
View 10 RepliesProblem accrued since the 2012, after I installed OEM HID headlights. Everything was fine for a month or so, then I found out the left parking/turn lamp isn't working. I checked the bulb and it was OK, however I replaced it for a new one. However it didn't work. So I replaced left bulb from right side and vs versa. Didn't work. Then I replaced headlights on KDM aftermarket one with LED DRL and everything repeats...
However when I put back the halogen headlights, that problem disappeared, looks nothing happened. Now I want to put back my OEM HIDs, but expecting same problem again...what it can be?.
Dealer doesn't know anything, already I have asked him, they just put again a new bulb and thats it. Where and what should I look at first...
Just got my 2013 RX 350 CPO and been driving it for 2 weeks without any problem. But today when I was trying to steer my wheel all the way to the left (car was parked) and I heard rubbing noise coming from wheel base. It only happens when making hard left steering not right.
I read online and seems like it's a common problem for wheel bearing for Lexus cars.
I have a 2003 hyundai elantra gt. All the lights and bulbs work, except for the rear left brake light. I've replaced it twice now, and used a bulb I know was good, so the problem is not a bulb. I checked the fuse, and the fuse is ok as well. When I measure at the bulb socket with an ammeter I get around 20 mA which I assume is too small and I assume there is a loose wire somewhere.

I had a noise/vibration from front of the car when I turn left I thought it could be tracking as I knew it was out I've had the tracking done today and now it also vibrates/noise when driving straight and sounds worse when driving straight and the quickly jolting steering wheel to the left , the best way I can describe is it's almost sounds like when driving over chevrons on the motorway rumbly type noise?
We found out that both our tail lights and our left turn signal light were out. The guy at the Honda place said that he thought that the person who put the hitch on our brand new car screwed something up. He said that 3 bulbs were burned out as well as 2 fuses. He replaced the bulbs and fuses and everything has been working. We pulled our light weight trailer about 4 times before the car was inspected. The car passed inspection. Then this problem showed up about a month later after we had pulled the trailer once or twice more. I'm afraid if I take it back to the guy who put the hitch on, he will just say that he did it right. Why didn't the fuses protect the bulbs from burning out? Could the problem be that water got into the hitch wiring. We wrapped the end of the wires in plastic but noticed water got into the area anyway. Why didn't the problem show up right away? Could the problem show up again even if we don't pull the trailer. What should I do next.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2004 Accord. The radio died a slow death (going on and off at will.) It's finally dead, now. The other strange thing, is the the dome light comes on when I make a left turn. The mechanic I took it too couldn't figure it out, and told me to take it to the dealer.
View 3 RepliesMy '02 has a growling noise only when I turn the wheel to the left. It doesn't seem to matter if it's turned slightly to the left or all the way, the noise is the same and you can feel it in the floor and wheel. If the wheel is straight or turned to the right, there isn't a noise at all. The growl is speed related and seems to be noticeable from 5mph and up. Does this sound like the typical power steering module when it's about to fail?
I took a video while driving to show the steering wheel, speedo and you could hear the growl as I turned the wheel, but I wasn't able to attach it to this message. I did get the PS error on the MFD 2 times in the last 2 weeks. What does the power steering module look like and how tough is it for a DIY'er to replace?
So...I'm driving home yesterday and hit my left turn signal when all I get is a fast clicking sound. The light on the dash did not light up at all. Right signal is working fine.
Checked it out in the driveway -- my left signal is totally out. No front, rear or dash light when I hit the left turn signal. When I hit the hazard switch, I get only a right blinking light. The right turn signal functions as normal.
I thought this was probably a bad bulb so I replaced both the front AND the rear bulbs. Got no love - same results.
2008 Prius...
I have searched the Owners Manual, forum and internet about this, but I can't come up with a solution. Perhaps I am not using the correct terminology. I also have an ALLDATA DIY subscription on this vehicle, but I could not find any instance of this occurring to be able to troubleshoot. I though that there might have been a light out somewhere.
