I would like to change my Headlights and Fog Light from regular Yellow color from factory to White color. My headlights and my fog lights I think they are all Halogen. I heard about LED light also halogen lights that illuminate white. My is Toyota Avalon 2013 XLE Touring

I have an 06 Limited. The headlights have an auto feature so that they turn on in the night time. Well, how to change the sensitivity of the light sensor? Its always dark and cloudy where i live so i almost always want my lights on, but its not dark enough for the sensor. I know i can take it into the dealership to have it adjusted, but im curious to know how it is done. Also on a side note, is there a way to easily mute the audio from the steering wheel? it turns down the volume quite slow when holding the button down.
View 3 RepliesI am trying to change the color of the light on my dash board and center console from the standard orange to a light blue color. I've tried searching the internet looking for any advice but I haven't come across anything for a 2009 Toyota corolla. I understand that some cars need to have the light bulbs soldered and some can you can change out a colored film. Which of these options applies to my car? If it's the light bulb change then what size and how many. Also, how to take out the instrumental cluster.
View 6 RepliesI know the manual says the tank's cap. is 18, but I've run the gauge to ' E ' with yellow warning lite on and it'll still only take 15 -15.5.
Can it still have 2 gal. past the E marker ?
I have a 2001 Toyota Avalon with 139,000 miles and runs excellent. I recently just got an oil change and it smells like something is burning. More of like a burning rubber smell. I know my car does not have an oil leak but what else could it be. I plan to take it out of town very soon. Should I not take it anymore? Also, when my A/C is on and I'm sitting idle it sounds like my car wants to turn off every time the the a/c kicks on but it doesn't. My RPM'S are fine. (600-700).
View 18 RepliesBought a used 2000 Jetta, 2.0L AEG engine by the looks of it, 188k miles. Previous owner told me he did a bit of work on it, and acknowledged the coolant leak - have to fill the overflow ball about once a week. He said he recently replaced the timing belt, water pump, and tensioner pulley. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
From what I can see it seems to be leaking at the outlet flange (see pics of rust).
Would any of this cause the water in the overflow ball to be rusty yellow (see pics)? Should I just go ahead and replace the ball and then the o-ring at the outlet flange?
I'm new to VWs, but am up for a bit of work to make sure it gets to 200k miles (bought the Bentley manual).
My headlights on my 2006 are hazy and yellow and the light output is reduced. I tried some plastic headlight cleaner stuff but it was clear for like a month, and now it looks even worse than before.
View 5 RepliesMy turning light needs a bulb replacement (I believe, since when I click to turn right it makes quicker clicking sounds). Does this mean bulb is out or wiring is out?
As for the side light (also on the right) has fallen off and can no longer be screwed back in place as that part has broken off so I will be buying the replacement part/lamp. However, when it fell, the wiring was disconnected so i have lost the bulb and any connection to it. I think I still have the rubber wiring harness, just missing the wiring & bulb.
I recently noticed a lot of smoke coming out of exhaust pipe. Checkout video : [URL] .....
Video was taken after I drove for about 40mins. Then parked (engine still running). Then immediately recorded the video. I also noticed smoke while I'm driving too. I checked yesterday and saw some water (not a lot, just drops) dripping down the pipe.
Weather is a bit cold these days. Here in WA, its usually in the range of 35-40 degree. Is that normal?
2014 Sport bought new with 2400 miles is showing the yellow warning light that the level is low when in fact it's full. What the problem is so when I take it in for it's first oil change this week I could explain better to the service department. This is my wife's car.

View 15 RepliesI have a 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Touring Model.
The vehicle is great, however the clicking noise from the wiper relay is obnoxious. It is only when the intermittent wiper setting is applied that the noise is apparent. You can also duplicate it by manually moving the wiper knob up and down. I showed the dealer this twice, and both times they say it is normal. I will take a video later today and post it to show.
I had a bulb go out and was replaced under warranty. The problem no is that it is a yellow color and not blue/white like the original and the other. The dealer said that after burn in it will also change to the blue/white.

View 7 RepliesI have a 2012 Gen III. The regular headlights do not seem to shut off when I exit the car. The DRL and the other setting (not sure what it is) headlights do shut off when exiting the car. Is this correct?
View 5 RepliesHusband brought car in for regular oil change and told them I was having a problem with my gas gauge not registering properly. They claimed I probably didn't fill at least 4 gallons for it to register. So, they sent him home with that answer and if I continue to have problems to bring it in again and they would have to do some expensive troubleshooting. I have owned the car for 4 years and I was infuriated at that response since I only started having this problem recently and knew how to pump gas.
After doing some reading (not on here unfortunately) I didn't like what I was reading, that it is a "mystery" and could cost alot for them to figure it out. So, since I didn't have the time or money to deal with it, I decide to just keep track of it by the travel information screen. This was working out fine and the gauge started working again for a few months.
Recently, I filled up 8 gallons and the damm gauge craps out again and only registers 4 bars. I have a full tank, drive 92 miles and the gauge dropped to one bar during that time...I know I can't fill it cause I would take maybe 2-3 gallons (due to gas pricing)...so I decide to see what would happen.
Change the oil on my V6 2005 Touareg and noticed a slightly reddish color. Oil not burn.
Car was park a dealer for more than three weeks while they replaced the A/C.
My touareg never needs extra oil between changes and does not burn the oil. All temperatures are normal at 100 degrees weather.
What would cause the oil to get that reddish color?
I have a 1989 cavalier with a digital dash, and I was wondering what was involved or can it even be done to replace it with a regular one. I can't stand the digital dash.
View 1 RepliesYesterday my 2010 Prius 4 (98k miles) was normal until I switched the lights from normal to hi beam and then back again. The hi bean works but the regular headlights do not. All other lights work and there are no warning lights lit. Turn signals are normal. Could this be a circuit breaker?

I have a guy that has a set of injectors out of a truck that got scrapped. He's estimating mileage at 40k based on the fact that they caps are still yellow claiming that caps start to discolor around 60k and they get darker with miles/age.
