I am trying to put in after market keyless entry on my 03 sd wired up my relays according to the 5 wire alternating door locks found on this page

but it keeps popping my fuse when I try to put it in, if this is even the correct set up I found another guy on here that used the same set up but never said if it worked or not
Do the wiring for keypad keyless entry is in the harness and the programing in gem module on a 2003 F350 crew cab?? It would seems that is the same harness/parts as the excursion. I have not removed door panel yet, just trying to save some time.
This truck is one of my finest 4x4 rides yet, this would make much better!!! when i picked up my truck, included in the owners info was a factory keypad keyless entry code card, dealer told me that all trucks with keyless have that card regardless if it has keypad or keyless remote entry???
I have the factory keyless entry on my '03 F-250 SuperCab. I have always had to be within about 5'-8' of my cab to get the doors to lock/unlock. I thought it was normal for the longest time, but recently learned it's not. I am out of warranty now so I need to try and fix this myself. What is the location of the receiver module, and what it looks like? Also, is there an external antenna w/ the factory keyless entry, and where is it at? Transmitters are fine, as is battery power. Only think it could be is receiver/antenna.

View 9 RepliesThe key ring part of the fob for the keyless entry on the truck (2006 F250 V10) broke a while back. Finally got around to buyin a replacement only to realize that the keyless entry that came with the truck is not OEM. It's an Omega L2M 4410.
In trying to cycle locks to replace the fobs, the locks will not cycle. Tried everything that can be found on forums, youtube, etc. all to no avail. This leads me to believe that the aftermarket keyless was put on because there wasn't keyless from the factory.
I have experience with installing aftermarket systems, but this one stumps me - can't find where the system was installed in the first place. To me, this sounds like it should go to a shop for further investigation.
I recently purchased a 1999 F250 S/D v10 5 speed ext. cab and only received one ignition key (no keyless entry fobs).
The truck does not have a keypad on the doors, but if this truck has the remote keyless entry option, how can I tell?
I can't remember my door code and don't want to take it to the ford dealership and pay. I know there is a code up under somewhere but I can't find it? 2005 f-250 lariat.
View 10 RepliesMy 'new' 2004 F250 ExtCab SB w/5.4L sometimes 'drops' my keyless entry (key fob) for no apparent reason. Also, when I attempt to do the 'eight turns' of the ignition to get into program mode, it doesn't always work the first time (or second, or third, etc). Is this a common problem?
View 5 RepliesI have looked at many of the other treads and I can not find the answer. How do I locate the keyless entry code sticker in my 2008 F350? I just bought the truck used, I do not have the card that is delivered with the truck and I don't want to pay the Stealership to hook it up to there computer. I am looking for the RAP or the computer module as it is called in the owner's guide.
It is not behind the glove box, there is no longer a fuse access panel under the dash like the earlier SD's, the drink holder under the upfitter switches does not "pop out." Before I start with any tools, I am looking for input.
Is it possible to add the factory keyless entry without replacing the complete dash harness? I have an aftermarket unit I can add but I'd rather have oe if possible. Truck is an 2003 f250 v10.
View 1 RepliesI have a 95 f-250 psd with factory remote keyless entry. about 3 weeks ago i had a fuse blow that powers the keyless entry module, speed control, and a number of other systems.
If I replaced the fuse it blew right away so i got my wiring diagrams out and started unplugging parts of the circuit and my last attempt was to unplug the keyless entry module. presto no blown fuse so i got a module from a junk yard fixed the problem and now it has happened again. same exact thing. unhook the module and no blown fuse. i took the first module apart and saw no burned parts and no visible damage but here i am blowing fuses with no door locks, dome light and a few other things.
The fuse that blows is fuse 8. I am a mechanic and have full access to anything I need. I have another module under warantee but I want to be sure that its not something other than the module causing problems.
On a 2003 Ford Superduty, 4x4, 5.4, supercab; where is the fuse for the power seat?
View 11 RepliesI just bought a 2003 F250 from a used dealer. Unfortunately the service engine light keeps popping on and putting out the code P0401, I have replaced the EGR, cleaned the inside, and cleared the code. However it continues to keep popping up and then it will turn off after a couple of days. I mostly drive in the city and the code generally only pops on when I drive on the highway. I have also noticed a lack or delay of power, when I really hit it hard, I think its because the computer is keeping the egr valve open. What it could be?

When I turn on the ac or heat It blows a 10 amp fuse that goes to the blower relay. It was occasionally now it's all the time.Blower ok, fan speed resistor ok. What or where to look.

View 7 RepliesWhenever I manually pull my gear selector into first gear it blows one of the 10a fuses (not sure which number). I lose all gauges and accelerator pedal. It's about the fourth fuse from the right on the bottom row.

Q2. How do I tell if the keyless receiver is installed in the truck?
Q3. Is there a way to unlock all the locks with the key in the door?
My remote start/entry on my 2013 F250 won't work outside of 25 or 30 ft from the vehicle. On my 2011 it would work close to 100 yds away. My dealer has no idea why. And yes, I changed the batteries
View 12 RepliesI just bought an '08 F350 Super Duty CC. When I bought it, the previous owner gave a me card with the code on it. So I tried to reprogram the keyless keypad to a new code that I can remember, no luck at all. Followed all the steps on how to reprogram it like a hundred times and still won't reprogram. So I've noticed that none of the lights light up except 7*8, none of the other buttons won't light up.
Could the keyless keypad be going south? Maybe the contacts in the keyless keypad are gummed up or a relay? Need to get this feature to work cause I sure would use it a lot. Also how do I remove the interior door trim to get to the keyless keypad? The door panel has electric locks, electric window, power mirrors, telescoping rear view mirrors, memory seating buttons and speaker pillar.
So when my hubs are locked they make a popping noise. Not when I'm turning like a 4wd would but all the time. And then when I turn on my ESOF in the cab something makes a horrendous noise like its binding up really bad. When I unlock my hubs and turn off my ESOF it all goes away. My 4wd does not engage without the hubs locked. I have the warn standard manual hubs. I'm not sure how to check to see what's messed up.
View 14 RepliesSo as of 2 weeks ago there is a popping sound coming from somewhere behind the cab when I'm turning in reverse. Its intermittent and only happens once or twice when I'm pulling out of a parking spot. It doesn't happen every time. Probably about 4 times a week but it only happens when its cold and been sitting. It doesn't happen when I'm driving in 2wd or 4wd. I was wondering what it could be and if its gonna be something I can afford to hold off on for awhile.
