So my left front dipped beam hasn't been working for a couple weeks and I finally went and got a couple replacement bulbs, put them in no problem (replaced both just so they would match) and it still doesn't work! The passenger side works fine, but the driver's side just tells me that it isn't working.

I have a 2011 tiguan 2.0tdi 4motion, around 3 days ago the left headlight dipped beam stopped working, I replaced the bulb with no avail, the sidelights, and high beam work, just nothing on dipped beam, at first the warning lamp illuminated with the message on the screen, of check left dipped beam, I've checked and have no voltage going to the connection the bulb connects to, now the warming light and message have dissapeared but still no headlight. Where to locate the fuse for the headlight...

View 2 RepliesThis morning a dash light informed me a headlight bulb was out. It was my DTR light on the passenger side.
I purchased Sylvania H7 high intensity, installed it and it failed to work properly. Daytime light on only drivers side works.
High Beam on , both lights works.
I checked my manual and it said to check fuse in the 5 slot on the driver side dash/door panel and there actually is no fuse in there. I checked the driver side and there was no fuse there either.
I replaced my driver side bulb last year and it took 5 mins....i am already 4 hours into this!
I have a 2011 Camry XLE. My left high beam is not working not even for DRLs... I have replaced the bulbs and this is not the case.
View 3 RepliesMy left front turn signal stopped working. Rear turn and mirror light both work normally. Checked the socket and it is clean. Switched bulbs with right side to confirm. This one is driving me crazy and I don't want to spend a fortune at the stealer to fix it.
View 5 RepliesReplaced both bulbs (left and right even though only left was out) with fresh H7s and my left headlight still doesn't work. so i thought, maybe fuses, but manual only references fuse #5 on both left and right fuse boxes as headlight control - but for XENONs only. Since i don't have HIDs, there is no fuse in spot #5 in either fuse box. Any other fuses i should check that i may be overlooking in the manual?

Drivers side low beam not working. The bulb is fine saying something was tapped in, therefore, can't warranty headlight. Guy said the light gets power just light won't work. Can Vagcom fix this? Dealer wants $125 for inspection plus another $676 for parts and labor.

I have switched fuses to new ones.
Is there anything else I can check?
Is there relays on this model for the high beams?
Low beams works fine and everything else in lights.
I am having an issue with the passenger side low beam headlight on a stock 02 Passat. Bulb is fine but after testing confirmed no juice to that side. Drivers side works fine as do the running lights on both sides. Fuse is fine and after an afternoon of looking at it I am about ready to beat my head up against the wall. Only other clue is the cig lighter went out about (not sure if the exact) same time.
View 2 RepliesSo, last night I go to turn on the high beams on my 2002 Passat (pushing the bar on the left of the steering column forward) ... and nothing happens. The bar clicks into place as it should, but no high beams. The little indicator light on the dashboard does not come on, either.
I try to flash my high beams, and that DOES work. The brights come on, and the little indicator lights up when the beams engage.
So ... I know it's not a fuse, since the lights are actually functioning. What part/switch/relay/whatever needs to be replaced to get this fixed? I feel like this would involve me needing to pull apart the mechanism in the steering column, but I hope not ...
So I have MFD display errors for "main beam not working" on both sides but both of my headlights, lows and highs both work fine. this has been like this for a few months now. I can clear the codes with my VAGCOM and after a day or two they come right back. I do have LED license plate lights but for at least a year i only got the error code on startup for the plate lights but never headlights. A little confused as to what is tripping the headlight codes

View 8 RepliesBeen about 3 months now trying to figure out my issue in my 2006 passat 2.0t the front passenger low beam bulb keeps going out no matter what kind of bulb I use. They last for a week or two then burn out .When the do burn out they actually blow into pieces the only thing left are the wires in the bulb checked into everything I could think of looked at the plug of where the bulb plugs in checked the wires that connect to it ran as far as I could follow in the engine compartment all the wires seemed fine. And there's no moisture getting into the headlamp assembly.

The ABS will kick in on it's own on the left front tire? I drive on the highway every day, and on an on-ramp, going approximately 40-50mph, making a wide right turn, the left front wheel will activate ABS on it's own. If I accelerate throught the whole turn, this does not happen. It is not wet outside, there's no visible liquid or oil on the pavement.
