Hernia Pain After Lifting

I had a hernia repaired in the groin 7 years ago and suffered no pain since. However a month ago i lifted a small weight at work and felt a small pull at the repair site. Since this i have had a sharp burning sensation just off the repair scar and my left testicle constantly aches. I have been to a and e and my Gp they say no hernia, had an ultrasound and they say no problem. I'm ok if lying still but if i move, walk, lift or anything remotely strenuous i get the pain.

I am a 34 year old male, no illnesses, suffering from hip pain for a while. The pain is on the outside of the hip in-line with the groin area, it doesn't hurt to walk but lifting and moving the leg when sitting/laying causes pain, as does doing butterfly stretches and bending the knee inwards/outwards. When it's particularly painful my whole leg will ache right down to the ankle.

Due to heavy lifting i got an injury in my wrist. When it is at rest it not causing any pain but as soon as i lift something or force something it pains a lot. Can u tell me how to rectify it ? Whether a crepe bandage will be helpful in this? How much time will it take to heal?

I fell off my bike a couple of weeks ago and landed on my hand it got swollen for a couple of days then went down however i'm still getting pain when i try and put pressure on it ie lifting or holding things in the middle of my hand about 2cms above my knuckle little finger and the one next too i can still move my fingers and my hand isn't bruised just a slight bit swollen near the wrist what should i do?

I am a 21 years old girl.I am having a pain in the left upper back, under the left armpit and in the left chest for the last two weeks since I did some heavy lifting during shifting.The pain can be felt when I am stretching. The pain doesn't go with painkillers. I did some searching on the Net and found out that back pain is a symptom of lung cancer. Is it possible? I haven't experienced weight loss,fatigue or hoarseness.

I am 22 year old male. My question is why does my left shoulder and right should hurt. The right one is the worse. It pains from the top of the shoulder, down around to the back of the elbow. It's been happening for around two months and hope I don't need surgery. I've been bmx riding for over ten years. I've never badly hurt my shoulders before so it can't be a old injury aggravated. But I work delivering gas bottles that requires a lot of lifting with upper body strength. I've been doing that for nearly three years but I've never had previous problems during this job. So I hope I can get help, as it affects my work to a point but not serious yet. I can't ride properly anymore, and I need to sleep on my back.

I was diagnosed some years ago with Hiatus Hernia and have had 3 endoscopy's. I do eat carefully am about 1-2 stone over wieght, I am a line dancer and have no problem with that. The main thing that I don't like is the feeling of a lump under my right rib, it is quite uncomfortable and i feel i have to stretch up to ease it. I can feel it now while sitting at the computer. I had the pain in backand chest last night which is bad but took Peptac liquid which quietened it down. Does anyone else have the lump feeling?

Just recently been diagnosed with a 4cm sliding hiatus hernia after suffering for 2 years with horrendous chest, neck, shoulder and back pain! been to A&E a least 5 times this year thinking I was having heart problems! had an endoscopy 4 weeks ago and was diagnosed! so now what? I was sent home with no advice whatsoever. been on all the PPI's for the last 15 years as I suffer with GERD and IBS! I feel bloated all the time, I burp, fart, feel sick and light headed and now I get a pulsating throb from my tummy through my chest into my throat If I eat the wrong thing it feels like I got a tennis ball stuck behind my sternum, really fed up with this now. I won't go the operation route, it's not got a good success rate! so it's maintenance, put the head of my bed on two blocks 8 inches high, given up gluten and dairy and all spicy foods eat 3 hours before I got to bed and have a swig of gaviscon as a nightcap! I take a multivitamin and magnesium supplements. the next step is stop smoking and drinking red wine what else can I do? the omeprazole makes me feel crap, so I've gone back to ranitidine.

Been going to the gym and everything was ok for first few weeks but lately when I workout lifting weights when I push myself to do a rep the back of my neck at head just gets tighter and tighter like it's gonna explode and then soon after would bring on panic attacks stomach discomfort and feel anxious for the rest of the day . Gone that bad I dnt even wana go back to the gym I'm that afraid . Just wondering y this is hopping and what can I do to try prevent it from happening.

So I've had constant pain in my wrist for the last 6 months, more often when I bowl, it's very sharp pain and the more i bowl the more it hurst, it also hurts when I lift things as well.

Can I ask a question about reiki? I have a hernia and have not had much luck trying to treat it thus far. A friend of mine recommended I try reiki. I have had problems with acid, heartburn and stomach pain and symptoms for well over 8 yrs maybe longer. after yrs of asking for more investigations and being dismissed by gp because of my age (30), telling me I am young and healthy and don't require a endoscopy , I finally had one done yest and have been diagnosed with hiatus hernia and a large area of barrett's can anyone advise the best info sites to look at at.. and also could this have been helped had by doctor listened to my concerns and had proper investigations done years ago rather than guess and take me on and off diff stomach tablets ?? Long few weeks of waiting on results.

my son has a real bad hernia in the groin area, painful and when pushed back up doesn't stay, he now has blood in his sperm , can this be related? He also has a Hernia above the umbilical area as well? has had the Hernia in the Groin area for almost 3yrs.

Last February I had a double inguinal hernia repair done and am currently on the waiting list to have my right inguinal hernia done again.
this time I was told it would have to be open surgery and not key hole.
I have the pre operation appointment at the beginning of November and received a letter saying I'm on the waiting list.
But today I have received a letter with an appointment for a Anaesthetic Opinion? ? Dose anyone know what this is and why I have to have one. I'm 14 stone and 5ft 11 so I wouldn't have thought its cos of my weight as I feel I'm of normal average size/build.

Can anyone let me know more about the operation and the recovery they have experienced .
Mostly how long it took them to get back to work.
Any foods that you can suggest I get in for after operation.
you could let me know how you coped too.

I'm due to go in for surgery on Wednesday and a bit terrified as I always feel like I am choking when I eat food and the only way I can cope is by getting sick....not being able to do this after surgery has me freaked out bit time. Just hoping that the positives of having this done will take away the feeling of having food lodged in my throat and I can have a normal life. I've had this condition since I was 16 and I'm 39 now. Hopefully I will get better after this. Anyone going through this too or have gone through this and come out the other side? Could use some positive vibes right now.
