I was on citalopram for a few days but I started getting nose bleeds so I just started 150mgs of trazodone yesterday and boy did I feel like shite! all I wanted to do was sleep so I slept all day even when I finally woke up I had no energy
View 6 RepliesI have just been put on citalopram 3 days ago on 20 mg. I'm so tired and have not left my bed in the past 3 days. My head feels weird and i do feel really sick till round the afternoon. I'm thinking of taking the tablet before bed see if that makes any difference as i might sleep through it. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms ? Will this actually work , i know it doesn't work straight off but will i start to feel better in time ?
I have zero energy , i feel constantly down , i hate leaving the house and i have shut myself of from the outside world. I have lost my friends but that was through my friend who went out to ruin my life and turned everyone against me. I really hope these tablets will help me get back to the person i was. Im going to start the gym once im more confident and have controlled my anxiety.
Today may 24 I just started taking my citalopram 10mg and at first I was okay. But then I felt overwhelmed. I felt like my head wasn't getting any oxygen. Like someone was sitting on my head. When for a car ride with my wife and just felt motion sickness. All day I didn't feel normal and then all of a sudden I just started crying for no reason. I had to force myself to eat. I feel really tired and drained but I can tend to even take a nap. I just don't know what to do.

I constantly feel dizzy like I'm going to die and pass out and sick and feel like someone is standing on my head. Does anyone know when the side effects will go? And are these tablets any good? When you start seeing results? I know the dr told me to only start taking half but I already feel panicky and dizzy.
View 50 Replies12 Jan I had a riding accident, hurt my shoulder. It was previously injured (dislocation/fracture of humerus) and it's been weak ever since. Doc put me on cocodamol as of 14th, and then on the 17th I was back at docs because they were making me sick. He put me on tramadol. 2x 50mg tablets three times a day.
I wasn't warned about any possible side effects, other than they may cause drowsiness.
11 weeks later, I can't kick it. I no longer require the tramadol for pain. They tried a weaning programme. I was given Tramadol SR tablets. I cut from 300mg a day to 200 mg. One tablet morning, one tablet evening for a week. The week after I was cut down to 100mg tablet in the morning, then nothing.
I lasted a day before I used some left over regular tramadol.
The effects were horrific when I initially changed the dosage, but I thought it would be okay with cutting down and then coming off completely. I was ready for some side effects, but not what happened in reality.
Headaches, nosebleeds, sickness, sweats, freezing cold, aggressiveness, exhaustion, tearful, restless, insomnia.
I had some very very dark thoughts that I haven't had in years. I took the tramadol and felt ten times better.
I have a doctor's appointment today, but they tend to be as much use as a chocolate teapot.
A nurse over the phone expressed she thought that the time frame for coming off them was too short, and the leap from 100mg to none was too much.
I know I have a problem, but I'm scared to come off them and become the horrid, nasty person I was at the weekend. My rational thoughts tell me once I stop for good I'll be back to normal, but I don't have those rational thoughts when I try and come off them. I need them to cope with the most simple of tasks.
I gave up my job because I was so stressed and such an emotional wreck. I 've gone back to uni to do another course, I have tasks to complete and I just don't feel motivated to do anything at all. I m doing work experience and I don't care anymore. I m On list to see therapist at the end of month. I'm usually active person and maybe it's the anxiety that kept me going but all I do now Is not to do anything at all I lay about and sleep I postpone everything I need to do is this normal? I have no energy or drive, has anyone else experienced this?
View 2 RepliesI have had a really tough year, and was prescribed citalopram 12 weeks ago, started on 10mg for 2 weeks then 20mg ever since. I haven't been feeling any better, I have been going through a break up so its hard to know what's heartbreak and what's depression but the only thing that's seemed to be improving is anxiety which was taking over my life.
I still wake up most days not wanting to move, feeling hopeless and like I don't want to be here (I wouldn't physically hurt myself) and non stop crying and fear of the future and low self esteem. I used to be so confident and outgoing and happy, my world has crashed in the last year and recently I spoke to my doctor who has raised the dose to 40mg which I have now been taking for 3 days. I feel absolutely worse and again not sure if it's circumstantial. I feel embarrassed In Front of my friends and family as one minute I'll be crying and struggling to breath having a panic attack and the next I'll be laughing and smiling. Has anyone else suffered in the same way? I am hoping that this dosage is what I need but I'm just having teething problems. Right now though I feel very scared and worried it's not going to do the trick if I feel like this.

View 4 RepliesI am 34 years old and about 4 years ago I started getting precum every time I got sexually excited. The more excited I get the more that is produced. It is a clear sticky substance that has no smell and is slippery when rubbed. At first I thought I might have caught an STD but after three trips to the GU clinic and every test returning negative I have ruled that out.
My question is is this normal to just start producing precum at the age of 30 and is there anything I can do to stop or reduce the amount being produced. Every time I get the slightest but sexually aroused (and I get aroused really easily) I produce it and it is embarrassing to the point that I am avoiding physical contact with my girlfriend to stop it from occurring.

A week today I was diagnosed with an ear infection. Friday morning I had to go back to the G.P, as I have bells palsy. I'm into my 6th day with it and I'm taking steroids as well as tablets to stop me feeling dizzy. I am going on holiday in 3 weeks and I am starting to worry. View 5 RepliesI have been experiencing hair loss for the past 3 months and im not sure why. A couple pf months before i started losing hair i was on doxycycline 50mg twice a day for about two months as well as metformin for pcos. I also had my hair chemically straightened with bio ionic retex system. Although i have had the smoothing treatment before and never experienced any hair loss. I have stopped both medications and no longer blow dry or straighten myhair as i used to do it everyday. Even three months after stopping meds my hair continues to fall although it seems to have lessened somewhat. I have lost more than half of my hair which used me so thick long and curly. I went two different derms. First one checked iron, thyroid, lupus, and testostrone levels and everything came back normal. The first derm denied it could be the doxycycline however second derm said it probably was the doxycycline as she has had patients on doxy experience hair loss but assured me it would grow back. She told me to come back in three months but im so worried about it constantly and dont want to go bald. Most of hair loss seems to be on the back of head near neck/nape area and front, my part is also thinning. I dont think its the pcos because i have had that for over 5 years and never experienced hair loss or thinning before plus i heard that is supppsed to begradual mine has been all of a sudden.
